Of course, the cafe is in a great location, and we enjoyed sitting outside (despite the cold!) taking in the view and watching all the birds who came and went from the decking area. What we loved here was the attention to detail in the food: We ordered a jacket potato with cheese and a leek and potato soup - the cheese was already melted into the potato, and the bread that came with the soup was toasted! “For a budget hotel, it's perfect! It has a pool, it has a gym, it even has a squash court!! The attached bar is a traditional "Woolpack" style with 3 pool tables and friendly staff. Yes, it is a little run down and could do with a carpet upgrade, but that's what slippers are for! Please do not go here as I don't want it fully booked when I go back!!!”

“Was coming home from work last week and ended up going in Philly's friends in Meir and had the Philly's combo box amazing food and was really happy with it. I have got to say most probably one of the best takeaways I've ever had the food was cooked really well and it was very well presented. So tonight I had to go again and the staff are amazing and helpful but the food was just so good I'm going again tomorrow night amazing food thank you to the chef. “Rookery Wood formerly Tom Cobleighs has been here since the late nineties. One of the few places locally that you can get an all you can eat breakfast. Around 11.30 it changes to a carvery. Parking is free and there's ample spaces to be had. They have a beer garden and a separate smoking area by the entrance. Tried there all you can eat breakfast which was around £8 for another £2 you can get unlimited tea and coffee. Service is excellent as was the breakfast. Many thanks to Joe who served me who was very welcoming and sociable. What I liked is you have a toaster that you can toast your own bread which is far better than having it from under the heat lamps. The spread included bacon, sausage, black pudding, hash brown, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, tomatoes, beans and mushrooms also believe it or not Yorkshire pudding is also on offer. Would highly recommend Rookery Wood and with so many people here today many agree its the place to come to any morning for that breakfast experience.”

“First time visit whilst on a business trip. Called in for a takeaway and followed a group of diners who were known to the manager and he greeted them all warmly. I received the same welcoming smile and handshake as I entered which was a nice touch. The food is reasonably priced. The selected King Prawn Zamir was without doubt one of the best dishes I have ever had. Definitely on my go to list when next in Crewe 10/10”
