“I cannot recommend Beardmore Motors enough, the customer service is incredible and the owner and his son are genuinely helpful. On two occassions they managed to fix/identify an issue with minimal effort, rather than calling me back and invoicing me for the work, they explained that the work took a few minutes so wasn't worth paying for; that level of honesty is hard to come by. I intend to preferentially use Beardmore Motors going forward and I recommend others do the same”

“Went here on Saturday night while visiting family in the area. We are from Vale of Glamorgan in Wales. Food was delicious and very generous portions. I had lamb potato chops for starter. I can absolutely recommend this. For my main I had the Bombay Salmon Tikka. This is new to the menu and I can honestly say it was the tastiest meal I have eaten for a long time. “What a fabulous place to stay. An old stone town house opposite large park with free parking. The house with many of the original features. The guest house is a stones throw from all in the centre of Buxton. Clean rooms with comfy beds and all the facilities even a fridge. The host is very friendly and knowledgeable about Buxton. Breakfast was very good and very hot. Good fresh coffee. If we go back to Buxton we know where we will be staying”

“We had our wedding reception here in July. We chose Goldstone as all the staff were very relaxed and accommodating - it didn't feel like a wedding factory. They catered to all our needs and nothing was too much to ask. They were responsive to our many many emails in the lead up to the day. On the day everything ran smoothly and we were subtly guided by the staff. All our guests had a wonderful time, they really enjoyed exploring the gardens and were very complimentary about the food (those with dietary requirements felt very catered for). The rooms were large and comfortable and guests all said they had a great night sleep. We would 100% recommend here for a wedding or special event.”

Had all three courses which I don't usually, so that speaks well of the food both taste and presentation. “Have been staying in the one of the a cottages for a month while waiting for a house to go through. Cottage perfect, has all amenities needed plus a great welcome package. Outside jacuzzi which wasn't on with it being late autumn but would be lovely in the hot weather. The owner Jane is so nice and provided us with clean bedding and towels each week. If we were moving away I would definitely stay here to visit our family.”

“The accomodation was excellent. We had a converted outbuilding to ourselves with a choice of bedrooms, a small kitchen, lounge and conservatory. A friendly welcome from Eileen together with a couple of generous slices of cake was a perfect start to the stay at the farm. There was plenty of toiletries, tea, coffee, milk etc and the kitchen was well appointed with immaculate and modern appliances. The owners have got a Labrador puppy named Harper who was absolutely adorable. We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely return to this idyllic and peaceful location with stunning views of the countryside. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the area. We ended up having a curry in a restaurant called "New royal balti" in Audley which was superb. Being non licensed we took a bottle of wine there from the Tesco store a few doors away.”
