“Excellent club site, very peaceful, lovely setting. Good for walks and cycling. Brian & Jane are really nice and very helpful.”
“Absolutely amazing little cottages in a beautiful location at Rudyard lake immaculately clean, owners very friendly 100% recommend”
“I have been regularly staying at this block of apartments since August 2022 due to long-term work commitments in the area. The apartments are consistently of a high standard—always clean, tidy, comfortable and spacious. The owners are friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any needs. Most of the apartments offer off-road parking at the rear of the property. For the one without, free overnight parking is typically available on the street between 6:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Additionally, the nearby Tesco supermarket provides three hours of free parking, with paid options for extended stays. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Stafford town center and directly across the road from a large Tesco supermarket. Stafford train station is also conveniently located within a five-minute walk. This is an outstanding place to stay, whether you’re visiting Stafford for leisure or working in the area.”
“Always book my holidays there you couldn't wish for more pleasant helpful staff Whatever you want they will sort a perfect holiday for you and give you lots of advice. Any problems they will sort out for you.”
“Just spent an absolutely magical weekend at Ecopod holidays! We went with a group of friends and booked the whole site out for a fairy themed birthday party. Craig (owner) has just built a pizza oven which he showed us how to use and we made delicious wood fire pizza two of the nights. About 20ish mins away we booked onto some water sports at carsington water which was so fun and beautiful. There also some nice pubs, walks nearby, some of the group went to Alton towers which was really near by. Aldi and a Starbucks not far away either maybe 20-30 mins? We didn’t get time but when we come back next year Craig told us about a cute town called Ashbourne with some nice shops and places to eat. All the pods were unique and cosy. The settle which Craig told us was new was a great space to hang out especially when it’s raining. We spent most of the time hanging out by the communal fire pit, but each pod also had its own fire pit and picnic benches. There was also a ping pong table which was great fun. I can’t express how gorgeous the site as too, felt very back to nature and there’s loads of amazing wildlife and even spotted a few birds of prey! Craig was super accommodating and there when we needed anything. Great host and lovely site. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back next year! Thank you!”
“The most tranquil B & B. Everything you need, comfortable bed, even fresh milk and biscuits in the room. Breakfast was amazing. Lovely couple. The welcoming committee of goats was the cutest thing!”
“We’ve just arrived home from a fabulous stay here. We arrived after a long trip up from Plymouth to be met with tea and homemade cake by Mike and a room upgrade. The room was lovely and absolutely spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast next morning was absolutely fantastic and Mike gave us a lift to Nelson’s distillery for the gin school. At the end of the day Mary came and picked us up and we went back to find the log burner in the lounge lit and had a nice few hours resting in the lounge. They had made a reservation for us in the local village pub which was superb. The breakfast this morning was wonderful again and we would highly recommend a stay here. We just need to find more reasons to come up north again! Thanks again for a fantastic weekend.”

“Great place for our holiday break and birthday celebrations. Super accommodation and views from the living room windows.”
“Lovely little place, high standard rooms and very clean throughout. A very pleasant stay.”
“I had an amazing long weekend at the hideaway, with children 1 night and friends for 3 night's, the facilities were brilliant, the hot tub, towels, washing facilitates. The walk was beautiful around the lake and the boat was a fantastic bonus. All of the little extra special details milk, butter, bread, cakes, wine made the stay soo much more pleasurable. The views from the bedrooms were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place.”
“Spent a lovely week in the cow shed very large and comfy rooms well equipped brilliant place”
“Fantastic house to rent. Sleeps 12 very comfortably, decorated lovely with added autumn decorations when we were there. Plenty of room with two living areas a big kitchen and great dining room for everyone to gather to eat. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked with equipment including air fryer and slow cooker. Lots of utensils that I usually find lacking when going away. Our only downside was the AGA not working as it would have made cooking for 11 so much easier, but we managed to sort with all other options available. Towels in all rooms, with extras for the hot tub. Host welcoming and helpful. Out in the country but close to lots of places to go out to during the day. Had a great stay and would recommend.”
“Couldn't fault this B & B at all, the setting is out of this world set in beautiful gardens, so quiet and relaxing, there is ample walking straight from the front door, the breakfasts are fantastic with endless coffee and tea along with home made bread for toast. Nicky the host goes about her business with a lovely welcoming manner and Massie the dog is always available for you to throw a ball in the garden. 10 out of 10 all round”
“Excellent place to stay for a week's break. Easy driving distance to lots of nice walks (we used the website walkiees to find routes). Service was great with friendly and can-do attitude! They were keen to emphasise that if we needed anything we only had to ask!”
“Outstanding. Everything spot on. Except the weather!”
“Easily the best Travel Agents in Stoke Sue and Sam always work hard to get the best deals and look after you well. Highly recommended”
“Came for breakfast and it was absolutely lovely. Great friendly service and quality ingredients. Can't wait to return”
“Lovely club has good country and western on every other Saturday and Sunday nights brilliant nights well run club worth a check out”
“Trish, Meg and the team were fantastic to work with during our house sale. Very knowledgable and very proactive through the whole process. We got the high end of our estimate and we couldn’t have been happier. It’s just a shame that some other agents in the town are absolute charlatans and believe in breaking chains in order to gazump others. We were heartbroken by our breakdown of the chain but the team at Bridgfords were incredibly supportive through such a stressful time. Couldn’t praise them high enough!”
“Great place. Homely and got a very warm welcome. Breakfast was top quality local sausages and bacon, a very good filling breakfast. Worth £70 a night. My husband and I definitely want to return Highly recommended”
“Great hospitality and great people. Will definitely visit again whenever I plan for Alton Tower next time.”
“My grandsons blessing was held in the Nuns Room, it was a perfect venue. Recently refurbished it had charm and character and was beautifully presented. Our buffet was delicious, we made our choice on Mathews advice, it was perfect. The staff are all so flexible. They are polite and friendly , nothing is too much trouble. A perfect venue !! Thank you for making our day so special x”
“More than just a fancy building. It's the whole package. I enjoyed the epic view on the way in, the food actually great, and the staff are genuinely on it. I felt like a proper treat. I would bring my family stay again.”
“Just spent three days here with my two (13 and 10) on their first visit (and my first for 25+ years!). The theming, cleanliness and organisation of the park was excellent. The layout is big so be prepared for lots of walking! The skyride helps, as does the monorail from the car parks, otherwise that's a good 20 minute walk to the park entrance. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. Big shout out to Jack, who helped us find our car on the first night when we lost our bearings! The queues are really well managed, all the food was tasty (chicken tikka wrap from opposite Rita highly recommended and the rollercoaster restaurant near Galactica an excellent experience). Don't miss the cute little aquarium near Wicker Man. The water park was great fun too, the slides to outside a big hit and the coaster slide brilliant - worth the wait for sure. The free scare mazes were very good and even the souvenir prices reasonable. The gardens are also brilliantly kept and look great with the autumn colours. Only a few criticisms; lack of hooks on the back of toilet doors for hanging your bag and only cold water to wash your hands in most facilities. Also, the arcades needs some attention (a few had faults/blocked sections and the low end token prizes were limited and too highly priced).”
“First time staying this week, very easy to check in, all details sent in a text. Good sized room, en suite, comfy bed, small kitchen inc hob and microwave, kettle, and basic cutlery/crockery”
“Visited here for a spa day to celebrate my birthday. The spa is very small so we only booked for a 4 hour session, worrying we might get bored. However, the time absolutely flew by and we wished we had longer! We had the mill wheel back massage, which was excellent. We also booked in for afternoon tea, which was delicious and very generous portions. Would definitely recommend.”
“Catherine ⭐️ THE BEST FOOD ⭐️ Went here tonight absolutely beautiful food!! My daughter said it was the best Indian she’s ever had. Great service, loverly atmosphere, staff were really friendly. FOOD 10/10 Would highly recommend. Thank you for the great food!”
“Stayed for two nights for a wedding. The girls that run this place are so friendly and nothing is too much for them. One of our friends didn’t make it back to the hotel for breakfast and they offered to keep a plate for her in case she was hungry which was so sweet of them to offer. Our room was very big, it is the basics but can commend them on the how clean and spacious they were and one of the few hotels that give you more than one hanger which was very handy! Breakfast is great, little shorter and earlier than I would prefer but the food quality makes it worth it. The girls are so friendly and so helpful with any questions. We will be back to visit our friends and certainly be staying here again!”
