“We visited the angel inn last night for the first time and it certainly won’t be the last. The chicken Balti was so tasty. We were served by Toni and she was lovely! I definitely recommend this place!!”

“My daughter had her day after wedding here. The food upstairs was displayed beautifully and tasted as good as it looked. A special area for people with allergy requirements but I think my daughter asked for that. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Dick Dazdardly did the music and was AMAZING play 2 sax and 2 guitars, not at the same time! He let people sing with him that COULD sing. Highly recommend it.”

“Stopped in for lunch as we were walking along the beach. Bit of a trek from the actual beach itself but well worth it! The cheese & ham melt comes with a choice of white or brown bread, it also comes with salad and chips! The sandwich was HUGE and the ham/cheese was really packed in, overall it was delicious. We sat inside, there were tables outside but it was a bit hot - you can sit a table of 6, 2 x tables of 4 and a table of 2. So if it’s busy I’d imagine it can be tough to get a seat. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for some lunch down this way though!”

“Asked if they could cater for a funeral I was told it would be better in the bar for mobility reasons I also ask for a tea and coffee urn as many people would be driving I cannot compliment them enough The bar would hold over a 100 people The buffet food was delicious and plenty of it And everyone who had a car was delighted with the tea and coffee urn I cannot thank JKs team enough as they were all very professional”

“This has to be a hidden gem of a traditional village pub. Genial hosts, excellent beverages and a great atmosphere. Given the last twice I came here , the weather was warm and we sat outside basking in the sunshine made these great experiences It’s obvious that “ mine hosts” make an effort to attract both visitors and regulars alike by putting on various theme nights I suppose given that we were there in the afternoon just for a drink stopped us from enjoying whatever food was on offer A great pub and one I would heartily recommend visiting”

“We often come down to Porthcawl due to having family here and always go to Hi Tide for drinks and food. The drinks are reasonably priced as well as the food, and the staff are always nice, welcoming and super efficient. They also have their own car park which is very useful and helpful. They also have outdoor terrace which is fabulous to sit out on a nice warm day as it overlooks the sea. You can even sit here and enjoy drinks and food. They also have indoor dog friendly area for those colder days and those rare super hot days as well. They often have cabaret and shows on, some are free and some are ticketed, but all very good. They often also do fireworks displays over the bay as well. They also have a very good arcade next door to keep the kids and the big kids entertained! A really well run, friendly beach fronted pub/bar/restaurant. I highly recommend you make a visit next time you are in town!”

“Me and my family recently went to the deers leap for my mother’s birthday meal and would 100% reccomend to everyone! The food was great but what made our visit was the service we recieved by Rhi. She made us feel very welcomed and helped us with any questions we had. She was very caring for our table and friendly, a credit to the team. Will definitely be coming back again! :)”
