“Arrived at 8.15pm on a Saturday night and was the only chip shop locally that opens past 8pm on a weekend, crazy! To be fair the chips and sausage were really nice, 4 bags of chips and 4 sausages and a curry sauce for £27! Nothings cheap anymore x”

“It's not often I can give somewhere top marks but today was a day when I could. My very first time here after numerous recommendations and I wasn't dissapointed. We arrived promptly for our booking and were quickly seated. Our server today was Steve, a polite and attentive young man. Very knowledgeable of the menu and anything regarding our eating experience. I ordered off the lunchtime menu, to start i ordered the Sticky Chipotle Chicken and to say I was blown away is an understatement. The chicken was perfectly moist and tender, the Chipotle flavour was on the money and the chilli jam on the side was a perfect accompaniment. For mains I ordered the filet Mingon and i added the beef dripping sauce. now to put things bluntly I'd say I was being served a michellin star dish. The temperature of the meat was perfect the accompaniments were well balanced and complimented the dish exquisitely. The sauce was something I've never experienced, the levels of flavour and depth gave me pure joy. Finally for dessert I opted for a selection of ice creams and I wasn't dissapointed there either. And I can't finish without a big thank you to our chef today Danny. With skills like that I imagine awards are not unfamiliar to you. All in all a fantastic experience. I will be back sometime, hopefully to try the Wagu.”

“It's Saturday ballet which can only mean one thing, exploring cafes. Today I thought I'd give the Bluebell cafe a try. I had a really warm welcome from the staff, the cafe has a really nice relaxed vibe, it wasn't too busy on arrival with a good few seats to choose from. The menu was really good with plenty of choice. I went for the Bluebell breakfast which has the unique twist of Greek potatoes added. I can honestly say that this was the best breakfast I've had for a while, everything was fresh and tasty, the latte was piping hot (as requested) and quite smooth. Throughout the staff were really friendly, you cannot fault the customer service. Bring on next Saturday because I will definitely be back!!”

“Our usual holiday Chinese was closed. Looked at some reviews for Opium Den and was mostly positive (4.7 / 5.0) so decided to try. We were not disappointed. Food being cooked smelt amazing when walking in. Reception was clean and welcome was friendly. There was an impressive selection to choose from. The food was good value and arrived quickly. We were given free poppadoms and prawn crackers for spending over £30. When unpacked the food was perfectly cooked, tasty and great quality. Will be returning for more of the same. Well worth the travel.”

“What a fantastic lunch. We attended the American Lunch, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Mac and cheese, Jack Daniels ribs, handmade burgers, handmade garlic bread, hot dog with chilli, apple and cinnamon pie, with New York Cheesecake and whipped cream. Fantastic quality, taste, and beautifully presented. We were served by Callum a student at the college, who was wonderful - he hit the balance of being friendly, communicative and being professional perfectly. Our requests were met with an attentive Callum - who was able to explain the menu to us accurately. The team led by Nicola looked after the needs of our vegetarian friends brilliantly, so we all enjoyed our lunch. Nicola runs a very professional restaurant, with high standards - so we will certainly be visiting again. Add to this the value for money - it was around £12 for a 6 course meal with free cocktail. Thank you all, and compliments to the chef (Steve) and his team of students. Service excellent. Food excellent. Young people training, excellent.”

“It is my first visit to Wales and I booked this hotel as the price for one room was good . I received welcome message and instructions and I was nicely surprised that my room was upgraded to a suit with my own bathroom . The room is wonderfully nice and clean . It has TV bar , and everything you need as a traveller . The fridge and microwave is on the second floor with access for everyone . You have plenty of little shops around , lot of take aways and you have also good bus connection of you want to go hiking . The beach is 15 min by foot . The train station is around 30 min. by foot which I had to check myself since on Sunday there is a little problems with how buses are running . The hotel has safety measures in place due to Covid so you can feel safe . You cannot smoke in room but just outside the hotel , there is smoking area so it is not a problem. I'm giving 5 stars .”
