“Place has improved ALOT since the last time we ordered. My Chicken balls and chips were more crispy and fresh, unlike last time where it was soggy and wet. My sweet and sour sauce was good as usual, and the chicken noodle soup was excellent! Will be ordering again.”

“*Update* - Had lunch there again today. Really lovely experience, thanks to Tonya. We had the lamb rump, fish and chips and the sweetcorn fritters. Such friendly service! Absolutely recommend! Really great find, just outside Cannock on the A5. Awesome parking (lots of disabled parks and parks for people with kids). Very friendly staff, great menu, very clean and welcoming. More like a restaurant than a pub (in a good way) but has a really well stocked bar, which I'm sure you could enjoy sitting up there with a cocktail or two. Dog friendly, in a sectioned area (which is great for those of us with dogs and also for those not wanting to dine around dogs). Toilets were clean and presentable. The food was very good, we had the chicken supreme, the corn fritters and a steak. All were really excellent. The service is efficient and professional, we had Steph & Suzie looking after us. We will definitely be back!”

“What a great Venue. I visited here as a direct recommendation someone who had posted on line called Karen Jones who shared details about the friendliness of the venue, and that alone was enough to draw me in, but then i tried the food and was blown away. Doing the basics, really well is what it’s all about for me, with the use of High Quality, delicious ingredients. Such a great Vibe, with people and pets, children and adults being welcome. It’s great to see a venue function so well, with a great inviting atmosphere, non pretentious. So many venues these days make too many adjustments for the random occasional immunocompromised that places lose what it is to be a venue of great food, great company and great memories. I’ve found my new favorite place”

“This cafe is unique, and hidden away overlooking a large lake. I visited on a rainy day and had a lovely brunch. I can imagine during the summer months given its setting it would be even nicer to visit and sit outside. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I ordered a pot of tea and a small breakfast (see photo). All delicious! The cakes on display looked beautiful but I resisted temptation as I was full from my breakfast. 5 stars!”

“Came here for a pub tea after a busy day. Pub was small but cosy with a good atmosphere. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was really nice, hot and plenty of choice on the menu! Really worth a stop for some food and a drink or two!”

“The posada is a stunning Victorian era pub with mostly original interior, including tiled walls and bar fittings. The pub is of national importance. There is an excellent selection of beers larger and cider, including four hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, which were in excellent condition when we called in. There is an outside seating area behind the pub. Regularly featured in the Camra Good Beer Guide. A great pub highly recommended.”

“You will enjoy this lovely bar. Restaurant. We called in for dinner. The food was exceptiinal. Many srlections of beers lagers and wines. Landlord welcomed us, reminding us that a welcome smile and chat is still available in pubs in this area Hope you try tgere veggue ootiins. I am not a veggie but it seemed a waste not to try domething differrnt. Just guve it ago and enjoy a relaxing evening or weekend treat. “The jerk chicken is an absolute blast – perfectly seasoned, The portion was solid, you definitely won’t leave hungry. The oxtail was amazing – the meat was tender and falling off the bone, and the sauce was full of flavor. Everything was fresh and smelled delicious. “Dropped in for Sunday Dinner, randomly as we were passing by, when we arrived at about 5:15 the barmaid said they were closing early (service usually ends at 6pm on a Sunday). It turned out the landlord had a family emergency to deal with. I thought fair enough and said no worries, we would go elsewhere. Anyway, the landlord insisted we stay and reopened the Carvery, it was lovely and the Staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was nice and despite it being right at the end of service it still tasted fresh and delicious. The chef did us a fresh batch of Yorkies which were excellent.”

“Pool tables are mainly American style with one British reg table. Dart board and loads of screens. Cost of pool is a bit pricey, worked out at about 2.50 a game for the time we were there. (Played at a casual pace - cost for tables is by time) reasonable priced drinks and a great atmosphere. Will visit again for sure.”
