“What an incredible find! Shifnal is housing a fabulous little restaurant immaculate interior with wooden beams and Harry Potter under stairs toilet it’s quirky! From steamed table cloths lovely cutlery crockery and glassware it’s floorless! The food was incredible great flavours and really felt like the chef was taking time to create every dish. Nice wine and tasty passionfruit martinis. I think it’s our new favourite. Definitely an adults only escape for couples and small groups not for loud people!”

“Excellent English breakfast. I highly recommend their Full Monty breakfast. 3 sausage, 3 bacon, 2 eggs, black pudding, hash brown, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried bread, 2 toast, and a cup of tea or coffee all for £6. Great value.”

“Friendly staff and COVID safe. Wasn't able to try their breakfasts or sandwiches, as after noon Sundays they only do Sunday roast. It was good and hot-- though a few of the veg were too done for my tastes. Still very good.”

“What a find! Our usual café of choice for brunch when we are down in Tettenhall was fully booked so we tried Vanilla. We were given a very warm welcome, were seated immediately by a friendly & efficient waitress and we both thoroughly enjoyed a delicious & generous full english. We returned 5 days later and had the same experience. On this occasion I had the avocado smash & my husband a breakfast sandwich. Yummy & great VfM. They have a loyalty coupon too. We'll definitely be back to our new café of choice!”

“My wife and I made our first visit to 'The Stump' ( Mount Pleasant) since the 1980's . After a recommendation on Facebook we decided to call in for a late night drink after playing Bridge. The Mount Pleasant is open until 23:00 and serves until 22:45 . We had checked on the Real Ale Finder site that the Mount Pleasant regularly updates and found that they had an interesting Abbeydale Hazelnut and Coffee Stout on. They regularly change 9 of the real ales that they have on offer and a chalk board lists the beers and prices . The Mount Pleasant has a long ( thin) layout with a car park ( also long and thin on its right hand side ) . We accessed the pub via a rear door from the car park . A covered smoking deck is at the back then the single door access ( with a single step) leafs into a corridor that runs the length of the pub with single doorways to enter the front and rear bar rooms . The pub was warm and friendly with a group of people at another table enjoying snack type food . We had a half of the Abbeydale Stout and were pleasantly surprised by the price of only £3.90 for a pint of this 5.2% strength Stout. We enjoyed it so much we squeezed in another half before closing time . The service was friendly and when I mentioned that the last time we visited the Mount Pleasant was in the 1980's the landlady jokingly replied that she was not even born then. It is not surprising that The Mount Pleasant is in the 2025 Camra Good Beer Guide . We both enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend The Stump as a 'must visit ' if you are in the area .”

“My sister and I enjoyed a lovely meal with you at the hundred house. The staff were professional and were really lovely despite it being so busy and they were so attentive. I have the salmon starter as a main and my sister Gill had the Christmas dinner and my sister had the cheesecake and I had Christmas pork with brandy sauce all completely lush! We can’t wait to come back again with our family and friends and will certainly be recommending you to everybody we see. Kind regards”

“We stayed here for 2 nights for a friends wedding, the very kind receptionist upgraded our room and the room was absolutely lovely. Jacuzzi bath, very spacious, the bed was so comfy. We had dinner when we first arrived and it was one of the best meals we have had, food was excellent, service was superb. The atmosphere and decor was fabulous. Such a lovely place to stay or to just have a meal out. Thankyou for a lovely stay!”

“Came here on Saturday night for the first.it was a lovely evening..the food was so nice I had a mixed grill with Stilton sauce my partner had T bone steak..desserts I had banana dessert and the other half had jam roll poly and custard..honestly it was such a nice ambience family friendly.the staff were efficient and helpful..The young boy who served us and took our orders he was so polite came back too check if the food was OK.. all in all.a 10 out of 10 the food the service the friendly atmosphere we will be back. thank you for such a great night xxx”

“Superb meal served by Ronnie. We had the Sunday set menu: Calamari Chipotle chicken with chilli sauce 8oz ribeye steak 9oz rump steak Unfortunately didn't have lemon tart in stock so had the Raspberry Torte which was superb Sticky toffee. Pudding. Although it was only mentioned in conversation that we came here today as part of a birthday celebration. Ronnie went above and beyond to bring out a special birthday brownie treat. Highly appreciated. Loved the food and the atmosphere and the service was spot on.”

“Great place to enjoy a meal that you know the meat portion should be great being next to and part of the butchers shop. Meatballs and pasta for me and vegetable lasagne for my friend who is a vegetarian, yes it’s a butchers shop restaurant with vegetarian options. Lovely owners, a recommend stop to your tour”

“Had a mega breakfast with fried bread, it's was lovely and plenty of it for £6.50 with a cup of tea. Was really busy and the food came out in no time. Would highly recommend them”

“This was a very surprising find.. by the name you would think it's just a sandwich shop but is in fact a quaint little restaurant with some really great tasting Romanian food.. I had the platter for two and everything was just fabulous, I cannot fault anything. The meat was well seasoned, well cooked, tender and tasted absolutely fabulous. Family members had chicken, skewers, ribs and burgers and no one complained. Even my picky son ate the crispy chicken kids menu with mash, really nice mash by the way. I would definetly recommend going here. The service is good, we did have to wait quite a bit for the food but everything is cooked fresh to order and it tastes that way to. I will definetly be returning here.. I'm always looking for a nice little place to eat when in town that is not the same old place and this might be it. The pictures are not great as I was so hungry by the time the food came so kinda started and remembered after. But definetly try this. And reasonable priced to on average £10- 15 per main dish £6 kids menu - only one option.”

“Drove all the way from Birmingham to try their famous Milk Badam and Rabri Falooda, and must say it was worth the trip. The milk was on point and falooda, while a bit on the sweeter side for me was very nice and authentic in taste. What topped it all was the great service and the uncle at the counter gave us their Punjabi gajarhalwa to try and it was amazing, proper home cooked taste. I would come back just for this!”

“Lovely little shop on a main road. Very welcoming people, very pleasant, polite and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was delicious, and hot in temperature when served. Portion size was excellent. The food itself was delicious. Definitely going back.”

“I've been waiting... impatiently, it seemed, for Zaffran to open, driving passed it daily whilst under going renovation and always looking for hints of the grand opening. Well the doors opened on 29th April 2019 and I had to work lates! Almost 1 week later my wife and I finally got to experience Zaffran's fine cuisine, friendly staff and cosy fresh atmosphere. It was a pleasure to see so much more on offer than the usual dishes and they were truly delicious. As with a lot of restaurants nowadays, it's worth remembering to bring your own alcoholic beverages, though they do sell a selection of soft drinks. Looking forward to frequenting Zaffran soon.”

“After finally being allowed from Boris to eat out, I got a chance to pop in and try some tasty Indian food. Once ordered, drinks, popadoms and a selection of sauces were brought to our table. Followed by our hot food ordered which looked amazing, extremely tasteful, plentiful and totally delicious. Staff were so friendly, will most definitely be visiting again to try out some more of the menu, the alcohol drinks at the bar looked very appealing, definitely for a night out soon.”
