“Great place. Walked in and was seen to straight away. Staff were all very friendly and when they saw we had a dog with us, they offered to get a bowl of water straight away. Food was really good and they have a good selection if drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic. They had a nice choice of food on the kids meals too. Would go back to eat there again.”

“"Regular" portion sizes are massive. Great value for money and great food. TV screen so you can watch the news if your eating in. Staff, although not unfriendly, could do with some more chat with customers.”

“Great menu selection and will remove veg, onions if you ask. Great value for money. Konpo chicken is tasty with a kick. Noodles with beansprouts and onion is a nice change from llain noodles. Friendly service and staff always police and welcoming.”

Sweet and Sour King Prawn was light, wasn’t greasy, piping hot and tasted delicious. The sweet and sour sauce was on just the right side of tart instead of gloopy and too sweet. Beef chow mien is genuinely the best I’ve had in this area. Non of that wet gloopy noodles with loads of wet sauce and large chunks of carrots and broccoli and stuff. This was Beef Chow Mein as it should be. Nice flavoursome dry thin noodles with spring onions, fried onions and bean sprouts and plenty of beef. Fabulous! Can’t fault them at all. Great food cooked the way it should be, arriving piping hot, great friendly customer service that is sadly lacking these days, and very quick delivery despite me living quite a bit away in a place most won’t deliver to. Five stars all the way. Can’t recommend them enough. Well done A Taste of China xxxx”

“A delightful little cafe in the heart of the city. I’ve been twice now and I have no doubt I’ll be back again. A friend and I were enjoying the sun at Union Terrace Gardens when we both fancied a coffee. We went to Common Sense, but just they had closed. Very kindly, they still served us coffees to takeaway, which we very much appreciated and enjoyed. I went back on my lunch break a couple of weeks later and got a double espresso, curried vegetable soup and cheese scone to takeaway. The food was delicious and after having worked as a barista for a few years, I consider myself to be a little bit of a coffee snob. I was far from disappointed with the espresso. Perfectly balanced and brewed. £10.25 in total and of course more expensive than a now almost £4 meal deal in the supermarkets, but a wonderful treat. Although small, there is still a good amount of seating considering and I’ve found the service to be second to none. An absolute gem to have here in Aberdeen.”

“Went there for a cup of tea and they have so many différents things, I am pretty convinced everyone can find what they like. The staff is super nice and the prices reasonable - and the scones are terrific, definitely a must-try. I spent a great time there!”

Served by a young gentleman who was working on his own, there was a queue but he kept calm & spent time with each customer & made sure the drinks were not rushed and made properly. He deserves credit as not everyone takes the time to do it properly, i would rather wait to have nice service & drink rather than being sub-standard. I always have had good exeperience in this cafe, however only ever been for coffee, so cannot comment on the meals.”

“Food was lovely, we had a great time. Only confusion was online Christmas menu said 1 bottle of house wine per 4 people with meal, if booked in advance but when speaking to waitress wine was not being offered .We did get a bottle of wine. ( maybe you need to update menu online)”
