“Fantastic staff warm atmosphere bar totally upgraded plenty of TV's for music horseracing football etc Friday Saturday Sunday fantastic music home from home”
“Small 60th birthday party but perfectly formed, great wee night.”
“Fantastic exhibitions and really interesting art!! Incredibly informative and friendly staff. Best value for money cup of tea at the Cafe ☕. Lovely few hours spent and such a beautiful building.”
“Great service, wonderful restaurants and bars, excellent location, and nice rooms. We stayed for a few nights and took advantage of all the restaurants and bars and we're very pleased. The staff is very professional and well presented. The room.we had was large and comfortable if a bit garish with the English Baroque decor. The bathroom was amazing - large, warm, and full of amenities. The breakfast in the Great Room restaurant was very nice. Dinner in Bert's Jazz Bar was great. Afternoon tea on our last day was our first proper English tea and, to our surprise, we were quite full at the end. The staff there were particularly warm and friendly and always met every need with a positive attitude. You may want to ask for a room away from Skipper Street as there is an outdoor bar that plays music well into the wee hours.”
“Absolutely brilliant…. A free place to hear others speak about life’s challenges and fun! Wednesday night once a month is an excellent opportunity to listen and gets you out of the house!! Clean toilets, there’s a bar for those who want too indulge. Highly recommend!”
“I wouldn't recommend it specifically for jazz but the service was impeccable, food and cocktails delicious! Music was fine but nothing special as artists seemed quite bored or tired.”
“What a gem , what a fab restaurant- great service, great staff and fantastic food. I have eaten in many Michelin star restaurants and this could be ranked at that level. The food was exceptional! Good choice of drinks and pleasant atmosphere, would definitely recommend when in Belfast.”
“Great venue for live music, although very small. Staff are always helpful and polite. They even formed a great band, which is actually rather good. Parking can be an issue but only 5 mins walk from York Street train station. Have been there many times, last Sunday was our latest visit. The food is rather good too. Well worth a visit at anytime”
“Highly recommend this place from outstanding service to quality food. Great choice for our Sunday dinner and nothing was an issue while catering for my son and niece for the kids menu. Sea food pie was something else, delicious. Veg came separately and there was plenty.”
“Great staff and bartender, cute patio out back and plenty of room to dine or drink and listen to live music”
“Had an excellent meal at the Parlour Bar. The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Expect a very large portion for a reasonable price. I'd advise making a reservation if you're planning to attend on the weekends. Overall a very excellent meal and establishment.”
“What a beautiful place to find on your birthday weekend. Didn't have a booking & it was busy as, nevertheless, the staff welcomed us in, found us a table, & we had the most stunning meal that we've had in a long time. Definitely 1 to search for if your out on your travels & looking a quaint eaterie. Delicious.”
“Enjoyed the Bull Stack burger and fries. The burger was cooked nicely but not too well done and I liked the slightly charred bun it was served in. It was really well filled as well. The fries were pretty good and not too big a portion. The service was on point throughout and it had a fairly nice ambience not too loud.”
“Great coffee Lovely fresh tray bakes Friendly staff Great location All round a really nice place to visit. Easy parking Lovely stunning views over Strangford lough”
“Found this absolute gem while on a walk through Dundalk, it's extremely cosy, has a lovely covered outdoor seating area, and the selection of different draughts is great. Extremely friendly staff, would highly recommend.”
“Amazing pub food, great people. Perfect for a Sunday morning.”
“Wonderful, Warm, Friendly & Professional Service. Food Was Absolutely Delicious And All In Totally Relaxing Surroundings. Can Highly Recommend”
“A very nice elevated burger joint. Service was very good, the food came quickly and was delicious. We had the Korean chicken dirty fries and Korean chicken burger with sweet potato fries, then got a milkshake to go. All the fries were perfectly crispy and the sauce was tasty. The prices are reasonable. I would definitely go back and would recommend it to others”
“Reliable favourite. Absolutely flawless food, seasonal flavours and always a warm welcome. Alistair just made the evening. Good value for money when it comes to quality and service. Great wine menu.”
“Traditional pub with delicious food, cosy atmosphere with open fires going in winter time”
“You know your onto a winner when the que Is out the door. Hard to find a nice chippy in lisburn, definitely the best fish and chips I've had in lisburn in a long time. Food was spot on nice crispy batter on the fish and not swimming In grease when we got home. Really busy, but they got through the orders really quickly, and the orders kept coming. Will definitely be going back again.”
“Great place, very friendly customers, manager was great”
“Been in a few times when over with work. It’s very much a community bar but the inside retains an all wood interior making it visually very unique. Very reasonably priced drinks, friendly locals and the live music was great. Read my book a few times with the football also, haven’t tried the food but assured it’s very good.”
“Great wee bar, friendly staff, good atmosphere, and the best pint of Guinness you'll get in Belfast”
“Easily the best bar in town. Great service, fantastic food, friendly atmosphere and always enjoy our day's/nights out here”
“Went for Sunday dinner with my father, the menu covered all bases, had the set 3 course menu, and was reasonably priced. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Enjoyed immensely, will bring him again as he found it easy to manoeuvre his wheel chair and found the atmosphere relaxed.”
“Brilliant Sunday lunch at a fair price in good surroundings. Only small issue is possible more training for the staff. They could be a bit more helpful, I asked about the menu unable to answer. Asked for the bill and I ended up have to go and get it myself . But other than the staff a great meal and I would return in the future hopeful staff will have a little bit more training.”
“Friendly pub both staff and customers alike. Had some entertaining lunch times in here when working nearby. Always a character, always a story. As good a bar as you will get in Belfast. Sun out? Hideout beer garden! TV / jukebox available but best to just sit, relax, chat and enjoy the craic.”
“Great wee local pub.bartenders great Gary the owner is a good lad.”
