“Went to the Wildflower for Sunday lunch today. Despite the website advertising that the 2-course pensioners menu is available every day, it's actually only served Wed - Saturday. Turned out to be fortunate for us though. Cannot rate the food highly enough. Delicious! Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely ambience & we were lucky enough to get a table beside the log burner. We will be back.”

“I had a wonderful first date here at Muriel's, and the ambiance and selection of this establishment undoubtedly contributed to its success! The pear-tini in particular is excellent and refreshing, and the spicy margaritas pack an excellent punch as well! Would recommend this place to all :)”

“Absolutely loved it here, lots of different food stalls so loads of choice on what to eat, I opted for the taco’s from Sicario’s, which were huge and really tasty. The only downside in my opinion is there aren’t enough bars inside which means you can queue for a while. Great atmosphere inside and really good vibe around the place, well worth a visit!”

“We have now officially adopted The Poet as our wee “local”. We’ve called in a few times over this past year for a quick pint after a long day out with the kids and ordered a few starters & kids meals. Our most recent visits we’ve sat for longer and ordered 3 courses. Each time we’ve visited we haven’t had a reservation but the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or welcoming especially catering for three kids. It honestly has a great wee cozy vibe, it’s just nice to sit with a pint at the window and watch the world go by. The food is always incredible especially their wings, prawns pil pil and prawn cocktail (Sunday only for PC) we’ve had a variety from the menu and it has always been outstanding quality and generous portions. We’ve enjoyed their Roasts, fish and chips, pork belly and their chicken stack etc. Also, a variety of kids meals which went down a treat especially the kids pasta dish with garlic bread. Oh and that sticky toffee pudding is to die for, it’s amazing! Such an underrated wee place. Good atmosphere, great prices and superb food. Thoroughly enjoyed our random wee visits. Some of the nicest and friendliest staff. I cannot recommend The Poet enough.”

We had a family dinner together in LeWinters...and there were no complaints...we each had something different, possible because the menu is so varied! Great place, great service and great prices! “Absolutely some of the best food we've ever eaten! My boyfriend and I came for a meal this evening and were greeted with a lovely warm welcome from Ethan who served both our drinks and food. The service was 10/10, Ethan was so polite and friendly. We had squid and mac and cheese to start (both absolutely beautiful), followed by chicken and chorizo cajun pasta, and a ribeye steak. The steak was cooked to PERFECTION, it literally melted in your mouth, the best steak we've ever had for sure! We'll 100% be back if we're ever in Bangor again, 10/10 for everything, no faults whatsoever! Xx”

“I haven't been in eight south for some time, and I can't remember why that was so, because after having a lovely family dinner for 5 last Saturday, I will certainly be back again soon. Great food, excellent service, and more than satisfactory prices made our visit an absolute pleasure. Yes Saturday afternoon is quieter than busy times like Friday or Saturday evening, but from my visit last week, I cannot recommend eight south any more highly.”

“Was over in Belfast for a concert, and popped in here for tea. Expected nice pub grub...but it was far better than that. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the food utterly delicious, the best food I've eaten in the four days we had been away by far. Would recommend, and next time we are over here, will definitely call again...cheers!”

“I don’t come to Northern Ireland very often but when I do I always park in Lisburn. My colleagues recommended The Cardan and I must say I have not been disappointed. The food is absolutely amazing, well cooked and excellently presented. From the moment I walk in I am made to feel welcome. Something you don’t get from a lot of places. If I was to recommend anywhere to eat and drink it would be The Cardan. Fantastic place to meet, eat and drink. Thank you to all the management and staff for making this an ideal venue.”

“Went here for the Sunday sharing roast board and it was delicious. We went for the rump board and the lamb board. I personally wouldn’t choose lamb but this one definitely trumped the rump. Between us we had the mushroom starter it was full of flavour, the chicken wings had loads of meat and the vegetable tarts which initially wouldn’t have been something I would have went for it was super tasty. Every waiter and waitress were very attentive, friendly and provided five star service, fantastic service.”

“Popular and warmly welcoming bar/restaurant at Ormeau - Belfast South. Tempting but still not pricey menu, friendly staff, well chilled Guinness and more craft samples on tap. Good live music on regular basis. Can be pretty busy during weekends so resevation is recommended.”

“Lovely little bar in Bangor. Parking is a tad difficult but a side street does the job and no need for a parking ticket either. Food was excellent and was brought out quickly. Service initially was a tad slow but not enough to hinder the experience. The area we were in for food was quiet enough but definitely seemed like a lot of life in the next room (maybe the main bar area?) Anywho, would highly recommend for a feed. We got 2 courses for £19 each on a Saturday night and was very happy with that. Fish was absolutely fantastic and a great homemade curry to go along with it. Salt and chilli beef to start was great too, not chewy at all and full of flavour. Would highly recommend”

“We just love this honest wholesome bar. The punters are welcoming and a good sort. The drink is always tasty and flowing while not damaging your pocket. Juke box on point and the atmosphere is generally what keeps you there for just one more, or two.”
