“As soon as I found out I was expecting our third baby I also knew it was also going to our last and I wanted to honour the experience more than I previously had. After meeting Melanie I knew instantly that she would be the perfect birth partner to help support me. However what I didn’t expect is how much support Melanie would provide antenatally as well. By the time the day came for my baby to make his way into this world, Melanie’s support was already worth her weight in gold! I thoroughly enjoyed all the antenatal visits she provided, I never felt rushed and she would come and sit and chat for hours making sure I felt comfortable and informed. During my pregnancy my plans for birth changed multiple times and Melanie was always there to support me and make me feel safe. Towards the end of my pregnancy I started to receive a lot of pressure and fear mongering and Melanie was my sounding board and strength during that time when both my husband and I were confused and a bit scared. My labour was fast and intense and Melanie was right there through it guiding my husband which was so useful to him compared to feeling a bit helpless during my previous labours. After our baby was born, Melanie was so incredibly helpful and just a wonderful energy to have around. I was so happy she was there, she made the whole experience calming and positive which is just what I needed to close this chapter of birthing in my life. I can’t recommend Melanie enough!”

“I was shopping for a pushchair and car seat for our first baby. I had a vague idea what I was after but Hannah helpfully guided us through the options and gave useful tips on what features would be important. We managed to pick out a car seat and pushchair that suited our needs, and even better it was delivered the next day. It was a non-pushy sales approach and we were the only ones in the shop, having booked an appointment online. Would definitely recommend and will use them again for anything else we need.”

“Big thanks to Karen for her help!! I bought a mobile from Argos at the end of Feb 2024. It had an intermittent fault with call quality that I thought would be fixed by a software upgrade. It wasn't, so I got my carrier to check the line and for the phone manufacturer to give me any suggestions for fixing the problem. The line was fine and the manufacturer's "fixes" didn't work. I decided to go to my local Argos store, in July, to see how they could remedy it. I spoke to Karen who understood the problem and suggested that I brought the phone into the shop with all accessories and delivery note. I also spoke to Hassan who made some sensible suggestions as to what I could try to get it working. I took the phone in and Karen checked if the phone was repairable. It wasn't. She offered me an exchange or refund. I've bought many items from Argos over the years but have never returned anything. I'd expected some difficulty because it was 5 months since I'd originally bought the phone. Karen made the process easy and treated me kindly and professionally. I'm very grateful and remain a happy Argos customer.”

“My now-husband had a surprise bouquet arrive on the morning of our wedding day from Pam’s Florist and they couldn’t have been more perfect. The bouquet was stunning and even had some pops of blue which was our wedding colour. I appreciate how early in the morning these were delivered, shows how above and beyond they go! Thankful these were delivered before my makeup as they had me in tears. Thanks a bunch!!”

“A lovely store. Generous sized isles, always well stocked with interesting items - everyday goods are especially good value. I always stock up on their packs of batteries, for toys and, for example, at Christmas, for all their battery operated lights, which, incidentally, at a pound per set, just cannot be beaten for value. There are two Pound Shops in Solihull - one on the previously named, High Street, which is a little smaller than the newer one, in the walk-through by Sainsbury's and M and S. The latter is more spacious than the former, but both are well worth a potter around.”

“Visited today to have a bra fitting. Age 25, I felt nervous and embarrassed by not knowing my size. Grace was absolutely amazing. She made me feel at ease, was very supportive of my feelings towards different styles of bra and didn’t pressure me to purchase anything that wasn’t right for me / that I didn’t want. She listened to my concerns over tightness and explained sister sizes, meaning I was able to adjust to my comfort but still have a bra that fits. She is welcoming, friendly, bubbly and so good at her job. She was my own hype woman and made me feel so good. She’s a credit to the store and I now feel super comfortable and confident getting a bra fitted.”

“Friendly service. Close to the local schools. Can get a little to packed around school finish times and not much room down the aisles but it is a small corner shop. The staff and service I can't fault. Recommended to go to the store before the kids leave school or after 4.30pm.”

“This is a lovely store with friendly, helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble for the manageress in helping to find what you are looking for. The store is always very clean and tidy. Staff clearly work very hard at keeping displays neat and items displayed in appropriate, ascending size order. This makes is very easy to find what you are looking for. Also, clothing is displayed alongside items that compliment each other making it simple to put an outfit together. Such a pleasure to shop here when other clothing stores can look like jumble sales”
