“Overall, our experience at Taka Tak was enjoyable, with delicious food and good service. However, we were disappointed by the unfriendly attitude of the staff. Additionally, there were limited options to keep our children entertained, such as a shortage of crayons or pencil colors. Despite these shortcomings, we would still recommend Taka Tak for its tasty cuisine.”

“We had a lovely prosecco afternoon tea Tuesday for my birthday which my friend brought me. The ladies were very friendly, we couldn't eat all our lovely cakes so brought them back in a box. “Lovely warm welcome into an absolutely beautiful historical building. We came for an afternoon tea, portions were very generous with plans in place to expand the offer and make more of it in house in the future. The fire was alight and cosy. The table next to us was eating the main food on offer which also looked delicious and they also asked for takeaway boxes because of the generous portion sizes. Lisa was so welcoming and friendly and let us have a look upstairs at the amazing original tiles and stained glass window, events space and room where Laurel and Hardy stayed. The playlist was also great. So much history in a pub like this - so good to see it back open!”

“Great food, service and dog friendly. We booked a table in the bar area late afternoon on Saturday 25th January. Good time to go for us and with our dog as not too many people in the bar area. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We ordered three sides, a burger and loaded fries. Food was delicious and there was plenty enough for two. Left feeling very full! Our dog had lots of fuss from the customers too which he loved.”

“I decided to pop in here for a Christmas eve breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I have the breakfast Galette which was cooked fresh to order, arrived in good time and tasted delicious. I had a couple of americanos to accompany it. I had a nice chat with the owner who was telling me about how he uses quality backwheat imported from Brittany to ensure authenticity of the product. It was nice to have a French meal, in a French cafe, cooked by a Frenchman right on my doorstep in the heart of Moseley. I will need to go back to try the sweet crepes which all sound delicious.”

First class meals and would definitely come back again. Update I tried their breakfast on Friday 14th march £10.99 for unlimited eat as much as you like from English brekkie including cereals, juice, tea or coffee etc also unlimited. A must for the hungryest of people.”

“First time visit on a Saturday. We booked, as table was for 7. Extensive menu. All the favourites. The 'signature dishes' were all unique as far as I could tell, and from this I chose Chicken Chemali. Which had a sort of soy, honey,sticky vibe, and utterly delicious. Signature dish meant it came with matched rice and a triangular plate. Standard dishes had circular plates.... Nice touches included....trolley bringing food to our table included a gas hob to ensure perfect temp for the dishes......waiters asked how much of your dish you wanted to start with on your plate, and measured it out for you.....free shots at the end with a choice of sweets/after eights/aniseed. Wonderful service and a pleasant setting right near the huge free car park of Olton Station. Update 14/1/23. Another Very Successful takeaway. Now our go-to Indian Restaurant Update 19/9/23. Another excellent meal in the restaurant. All others are now compared to this one, as the benchmark. Look out for special offer when you dine in off peak. Update 5/2/24. Still great. I think the plates are a bit bigger? We were all stuffed. Saturday evening and it was packed, but still great food. Update 22/9/24. They've updated their menu. All the old favorites of mine, and some new ones to try over coming visits...... All with dish names I don't think I've seen on a menu before. Check it out! Just remember to book on Saturdays. PS, there's currently 25% off food when you dine in Sunday to Thursday”
