“What a fantastic find! We aren’t local but were in Solihull looking for somewhere to eat and discovered Mama Earth. First of all, the menu is amazing - it’s difficult to chose from so many delicious vegan dishes. We ended up with lasagne and roast potatoes and gourmet Mac n cheez and both were superb. A similarly wide choice of deserts and some adventurous (for us) mushroom tea made for a very memorable meal. In addition, Stella and Steve are such wonderful hosts, we genuinely felt like friends by the time we left. We will certainly return whenever we are in the Birmingham area.”

“My 17 year old son finished work at 10.55pm tonight and popped to Tom Li to get a takeaway on his way home. Unfortunately he walked out leaving his wallet on the chair containing his whole week’s wages. Before he had even got home in a taxi Tom Li had turned up at my house in Solihull, after finding his driving license in his wallet, and returned it to him with absolutely everything in there! An absolutely lovely man and so nice to see there’s good honest people out there. Thank you!”

“Edit: We have returned to Java Lounge Blythe Valley park today and I must say we have thoroughly enjoyed our visit. My coffee was beautifully made and delicious and the children loved their milkshakes. The bearded cheerful chap that made the drinks was attentive and we felt well looked after. We will be returning in future. Thank you. Original review: We have driven past it so many times on our way to and back from VA, so anticipation was building up. We finally stopped off for the first time at Blythe Valley Java Lounge to have a drink on 24/11/18 at around 4pm. First impression was great - decor is lovely, it was clean and welcoming. My children have chosen 2 milkshakes and I went for caramel nutty latte ( or something along those lines, can’t remember exact name). Kids loved their shakes, but my latte was sickening sweet, there must have been a third of a cup or more syrup there. I could not drink it. I raised the issue at the till with a person who made the drink but he said that’s just how it is, it’s caramel after all. I have had caramel lattes from most other established coffee chains including one that is a fast food and never had to leave the drink barely touched. To sum it up, even though my children loved their drinks, we will not be returning as I left very disappointed.”

“A great place to visit for drinks and food. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. On this particular occasion we went for Sunday lunch, the portion sizes are very generous and well presented. The only disappointing thing was the roast potatoes. Normally they have been excellent, but on this occasion, we found them to be a little bit dry. Fortunately this didn't determine from the rest of the meal which was very good.”

“We had a lovely time this afternoon. Seated promptly and attended immediately, even though it was very busy. We were looked after by the very capable and pleasant, Bella. She couldn't do enough for us, and made our dining experience a very pleasant one. The food was excellent, although we needed a doggy box, for my wife's plentiful, tri roast dinner. We spent post dinner in the beer garden, which is abundant and well set out. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.”

“Newly owned place thought I'd give it a go nice chap in there who's very friendly Have special opening offers going on which will last another few weeks was surprised to see a lot of variety of food on the menu and from what I've tried it all tastes good and the portion sizes are very generous My personal favourite is definitely the chicken tikka panini and fish and chips. Will be coming here on a regular basis as the prices and portions/ prices is excellent.”

“I still remember coming to this little place when it first opened many moons ago. The people were as lovely as I remember them to be and the food was spot on. The schnitzel was perfectly done and the chips were golden and crispy. The bratwurst roll was also amazing and a perfect afternoon snack. If you’re ever in the area, highly recommend checking out this hidden gem and give our local businesses a bit of extra support.”

I've discovered a new favourite dish..the Murghi Special, it was amazing, would recommend..and a reasonable price considering it includes mushroom pilau rice. Offered lime pickle (as well as the usual accompaniments) with the poppadoms, which I love..and the keema naan was also lovely. 5/5 from me....it'll be my new fave place now for home delivery. Check their website, 20% off. Shapla has been here in Shirley for so long that many people forget it's here! Remember it guys, worth a visit!”

“Very impressive restaurant. We love our food from the east but this has recently taken it to another level. I went for a friends birthday party and all I can say is if you want to impress someone with a look of a place this is where you need to be. The food was incredible I think this is probably as authentic as you will get, everything is fresh and the vast range of starters and main courses were amazing. The food was fresh delicious and the waiters were incredible. They explained what the dishes were they were very thorough with relation to allergies as a friend was allergic to a few items however the Restaraunt was fantastic. Starters came out on time hot delicious and enough to feed a group of hungry ladies! The mains were incredible I have to admit the best I’ve tasted. Parking was ok as you can park in the centre car park which is joined with tesco this was ideal as straight after the meal I got to buy a few baby essentials which was very convenient. Overall I can’t believe the amazing work of however designed this place and thought the colours and atmosphere is amazing. Highly recommend.”

“The entree was AMAZING ☺️ Very friendly atmosphere. The staff accidentally flipped the open sign 20 minutes early because they were cleaning, but let us sit inside reviewing the menu while they finished opening. It's a hidden gem with great food, worth checking out. Only downside was parking, it's really limited out front, the near by supermarket parking is too short a duration, but the menu mentioned restaurant parking at the rear, though we didn't confirm how much was there ourselves.”
