“Been using the Chinnar for the best part of 20 years, so have all my family, I have never once had a bad meal either eating in or takeaway, everyone I have ever taken there has loved it! Owner is lovely will do anything for you so will the staff, I have been to hundreds of Indian restaurants and we still have never found anywhere that matches their sheek kebabs! The chicken tikka is the best iv had, most place its little red tint bits of chicken the chinnar do it properly! I do agree with takeaways when spending a bit we should get free popadoms, but honestly the naans, the curries, the mint sauce and deffo the sheek kebabs are some of the best iv ever had and this is not a fake review like some suggest, I honestly love it there and we go there at least 2 Thursdays a month”

“Food alone doesn't make a restaurant; the welcome and service goes a long way too. Hilal and the team at the Ameena were charming. Advising us on veggie options and taking seriously our nut allergy dining options. The paneer was sublime in our balti and the stuffed pepper and onion bhaji starters were delicious. Our new local - where we were welcomed like old friends.”

The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and every dish was full of flavour and served fresh. Our whole group thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and we’ll definitely be coming back. “Had a smash meal with Mac and cheese fries. Food was delicious, fresh and cooked perfectly! The staff were very friendly and a pleasure to deal with too. The only shame for me was the small gang of moody dudes chilling on the car park taking up two spaces per car and giving my wife and I weird, prolonged looks while we waited in the car for the food to be done. This is by no means the fault of the restaurant though so no stars lost today. I only stopped by because the smell caught us as we drove past, but I'll definitely consider putting in some future just-eat orders and trying more of their menu in the future!”

“Came for a meal on a quiet Sunday evening. 4 of us got a table straight away. Food was, as always, fabulous, with very good, friendly service. Brought our own drinks, as they are unlicenced, but they will happily provide glasses for beers, wine glasses are already on the table (for water). Only marked down for atmosphere, as it was quite empty/quiet - apparently there was a ladies football match on the TV that evening! Highly recommended.”

“Best Indian in Blackheath. We turned up here unannounced after leaving the Dilsjad due to poor customer service. However 6 adults and 2 babies was not a problem to the staffvhere and they were able to accommodate us straight away. Staff are friendly and can have a laugh with them. Food is really good and you can tell top quality meat is used in their dishes. A little more expensive than the other restaurants in the area, but is definitely worth it.”
