“Had chicken and lamb sish kebab combo and I can say it was extremely delicious. Service was wonderful and very quick. Also with complimentary dips and salad. Excelent chef and professional staff. Say no more! Highly recommended.”

Very reasonable prices. Great fast friendly service and our food was delicious and plentiful. Well worth a visit ...”
“Quite possibly the best cafe I’ve ever been to in 20 years of working away. A workman’s cafe not a fancy Dan snobby place! Clean! Lovely food! Fair prices!”
“Excellent Full English Breakfast. Came with a free drink (nice milky coffee). All served with a smile. Highly recommend.”
“We’ve been coming here quite regularly for the last 2 or 3 years. It’s the best coffee in town and if you like dogs then you’ll likely meet a few friendly ones. Highly recommended!”
“Superb sandwich cook to perfection brilliant service thank you,”
“Had a party Saturday night, catered for by Suzy. Excellent food there was plenty, more than enough. Everybody loved the food! Brilliant as always x Sam & Family x”
“Clean place with plenty of seating, flavourful nicely cooked large full English, pleasant friendly owners/staff. Little pricey compared to elsewhere in the UK, but good food is good food so it doesn’t go against them.”
“Excellent food at great prices, highly recommended!”

“Absolutely a great cafe to spend time and eat especially for children. Very friendly staff are so welcoming and you certainly enjoy your time if you visit. Food are great and great quality despite the prices are so low compared to to other cafe around Boldmere. Highly recommended.”
“Was in the area for the weekend, had a sausage and egg sandwich 1 day and dined in and had a full English the second and was sadly closed (expected) on Sunday. Food sorted me right out and the service was good. No complaints other than wish I lived closer to make regular visits.”
“Wow! What a gem on the Hagley Road! My partner and I had a late breakfast here on a Saturday, and what a joy it was. My partner ordered the Saganaki omelette and I ordered the Feta omelette. We also got two black americanos. The food arrived quickly, and was sublime. Both omelettes came with a lime wedge, a pickled pepper, raw onion, fresh mint, fresh basil and fresh flat leaf parsley. I greatly appreciated the herbs as I love them all, and I personally seasoned my omelette liberally with them. The omelettes also came with sesame flatbread, which we used to mop our plates clean! The coffees were great as well, with my only very minor note being that it would have been nice to have them in a glass with a handle, as they were too hot to handle for about 10 minutes. There is a single loo, which is accessible and well-maintained. Bonus points for a lovely sink basin. I'm including photos of the menu, which we were told has been recently updated. I think the prices are very reasonable for such good quality food. The cafe is decorated very nicely, and my only note about the general ambience was that the music was a very slight bit too loud for my taste. The staff were friendly and helpful, and created a friendly atmosphere. We will be back soon for a lunch and / or dinner - thank you Cafe Rumi!”
“Amazing little cafe in Selly oak. Great atmosphere, delicious food. Ample portions. I had the Halal breakfast, can't move now!”
“Spectacular 2- and 3-layer cakes, with at least one vegan and one gluten-free option every day. Matcha Chai latte and Ruby Hot Chocolate, White Hot Chocolate, Greek Freddo Espresso and Freddo Capuccino are also available. Has an extensive savoury menu as well with a vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free selection. Make sure you try the Avocado Halloumi Pita and the Shakshuka Eggs.”
“First time at this lovely place. I can't speak too highly of it. Nicollette was a lovely host and the cafe had a great atmosphere although we were a little loud I fear! The food was gorgeous! Loved by all and lots of it too which is always a bonus.”
“Best coffee anywhere. Food is great and all at reasonable prices compared to the usual big chain cafes. Staff are very friendly and eager to please. Great atmosphere, dog and child friendly.”
“Good breakfast. We came quite late in the day, she threw on an extra egg. And the lady gave us each a sample of brownie and cake too. Lovely people”
“A charming, smoky atmosphere. Great, attentive service by a well rounded group of service orientated staff. I would recommend, just a shame its not open for evening service, as i would fine there for dinner too ….and plenty parking for my big rig!”
“Found this place by chance on my day off. Did not disappoint. Food was lovely and reasonably priced! They allowed swaps on my breakfast which is always a bonus. Tucked away in a nice lil spot on a business estate. Food came quickly and well presented. Will definitely be returning!”

“What I call proper home cooked food, we had cottage pie and a steak & kidney pie. Good choice of veg, both meals were hot and plenty. If still hungry puddings available. They also have a good menu catering for most tastes. A very short walk off the main road and bus station. Lovely staff”
“I have consistently received exceptional service and high-quality food from this cafe since becoming a customer. The convenient pre-ordering phone call and pickup allows for quick and efficient service; I highly recommend this café.”
“Afternoon Tea as pre-birthday treat for my son. Excellent selection of food, well presented and good quality. Helpful staff, good atmosphere. No complaints at all. Would book again.”

“We have been here for several times already, very good dinning experience! Tasty foods, excellent "stir-fried Chow Mein" and "fried rice". Traditional Hong Kong milk tea, Cappuccino with cream.....all with high standard. Last but not least, the restaurant staffs are polite, we appreciate and thanks for their hospitality!”
“I was so happy to see they have a gluten free breakfast. It was very tasty. It does come with eggs. I just can’t have them so they do substitute”
“My favourite breakfast spot in Bham. It has a really nice decor. I always come back for the saffron tea because I just can’t find it anywhere! We had the breakfast meze and it was such a feast! We chose the baba ghanoush, Shakshouka, damascena fuul and falafels. Had a party in my mouth dipping flatbreads in the different dips. The falafels were beautifully crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. And it’s also not heavy on the pocket.”
