βThey were really good with my doggy, she had an infection and they were so careful with her, after one week with antibiotics she is completely fine now. I'll definitely choose them as our veterinary for Freya.β
βFirst time me putting my cat in a Cattery and I was so nervous. But she settled in really well and now she will not stop meowing and leaving our side. Highly recommend and will be back for our next holiday. Thank youβ
βI have been a client of the Avenue Vets for 50 years, initially in Saltaire and now at Bingley. They are a lovely team and take good care of my waifs and strays that I take on.β
βMy Puppy Tilly went for a trial day today before her holiday in November. The staff were so lovely and welcoming to both of us. I collected her and she looked really happy, in fact didnβt want to get in the car but wanted to go back through the gate to see them all! Thank youβ
βThe team at Donaldsonβs have been totally brilliant with my young working border collieβs recent paw injury. Pip was in pain and very scared and so difficult to deal with but at every stage this was worked around and managed brilliantly. All vets and nurses were so thorough, professional and kind, and Pip was treat like a VIP. Communication was great, a CT scan and surgery were arranged really quickly, any questions, concerns and needs acted on straightaway, and everything possible was done to minimise stress and handling. The surgery was precise and fully successful, post-op bandaging was particularly impressive and didnβt move a millimeter despite his ... energy levels! Pip is recovering super well, back loving life in the fast lane. Huge thanks for helping my crazy boy. β
βWhen our dog sustained an injury recently we needed to visit the vetβs. The whole experience and process of initial urgent appointment to being referred onto a specialist hospital for surgery was excellent. All staff were compassionate and caring to us as owners and to our dog. Communication was brilliant in all aspects of explaining the injury, costings and the referral process for getting specialist treatmentβ
βConsistently excellent service from all the staff involved, ie, front of house staff, nurses and vets. They all have an excellent ethos of care and standards. Reception staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. Booking appointments quick, easy and they respond to issues raised speedily. Staff involved with insurance claims via Vetsure are the quickest we have experienced. All of the vets are friendly, professional and put the owners at ease. Everything is explained throughly regarding treatment plan and costs. Throughly recommended.β

βI brought my cat in to be neutered and couldnβt be happier with the care we received. The staff was professional, compassionate, and clearly experienced. They made sure to explain the procedure thoroughly and answered all my questions with patience and kindness. The surgery went smoothly, and my cat was back to his usual self in no time. I really appreciated the follow-up instructions and how easy it was to reach out with any post-op concerns. Itβs clear they truly care about the well-being of their patients. Highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for quality veterinary care!β
βWe had an african grey, budgie & a rabbit in to be looked after while we where on holiday, they seemed to come back very happy and well looked after! Staff are extremely friendly and will go above and beyond for you! Will definitely be using them again for pet sitting if needed.β
βGreat, knowledgeable people who care about animals. They have x-ray facilities and do some operations on site. Part of a local chain, with an animal hospital in Halifax for out-of-hours services. Offers a 'pet plan' for a direct debit of about Β£14/month, which includes all flea and worming treatments for the year, and also the annual vaccination. The practice was recommended to me by a friend, and I have recommended it to others.β
βTweed house vets were very helpful. Max is a very anxious dog and they were kind and caring and looked after him very wellβ
βMy dog was due for a 6 monthly checkup and annual vaccinations, as well as a Citapoint injection and the administration of her flea and wormer tablet (which she wonβt take from me). We received a warm welcome at the Reception Desk, with hugs and treats for my dog, and an excellent session with vet Stuart Black, who made my dog feel very much at home in the surgery, and not only conducted the procedures very efficiently, but gave very helpful nutritional advice.β
βAmazing staff! Taken my dog a few times over the past few weeks. Even with the restrictions, they made us both feel welcome. After the cancer diagnosis they were warm, friendly and knowledgeable explaining next steps in a way i could understand.β
βGreat vets. Been going with our dog since he was a puppy. Heβs now 14. Would highly recommendβ
βWeβve been using Wharfedale for many years, we have family in Australia so we tend to visit for long periods at least once a year, although itβs hard to leave your dog for long periods Wharfedale have always taken really good care of Barney and we are happy to recommend them.β
βI took my cat to see Kevan for a second opinion regarding my older cat, he was amazing, he explained everything very clearly and reviewed Ollie within a month of his initial consultation. Kevan is definitely a cat person, he did not charge for the follow up appointment and his bedside manner was excellent. I really would recommend using this vet.β
βHad to take our collie to the Burnley practice, this morning, and kind of "knew" that we wouldn't be bringing him home. We don't know the name of the vet who dealt with us, a really young guy, who was lovely to deal with. He was gentle and kind with our dog, and sympathetic, respectful and clear with his explanations to us. We were obviously upset but he made the process as bearable as these things can be. I hope he gets to read this review, or at least is told about it. He's a credit to the practice, and needs to be held on to (take note, managers). A kind professional, good with upset clients and lovely with animals - Burnley's James Herriotβ
βGreat support in the treatment of Harry and in the different decisions that were to be made. Laura the vet was extremely understanding with the situation.β
β2 of my fur babies were kept in here last year when they were seriously poorly. The staff there were amazing, they gave them lots of attention, as well as keeping me regularly updated on how they were and what they were doing treatment wise. Even stressed and worried sick I was still reassured that they were in safe hands β€οΈβ
βThe staff are amazing, caring people. The vets very knowledgeable. Have been coming here over 30 years.β
βLisa the nurse at Donaldson Vets Sowerby Bridge was outstanding. I needed advice about my 15 year old dog who was dying at home. Even though I wasn't registered with this practice, I just needed guidance and advice from a professional. Lisa without hesitation assisted me and was very knowledgeable and reassuring and gave me the answers I needed to my questions. Lisa is a truly caring person and absolutely a credit to the Veterinary trade. Thankyou so much Lisa and all the best for the future. Jasonβ
βThanks for sorting out our beddy whippets problem on the eve of daughters wedding Wedding was fab and the pup had fab time too Very relieved all round!β
βStaff very helpful, gave good advice for wasp stings for my dog and saw him quickly when his eye was swollen due to stings. Thank you for helping Barney xβ
βBrilliant kennels, my dog loves going and has never shown any issues after. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and very accommodating.β
βI have nothing but praise for this practice. They are so caring for your pet and also for their owners/parents. We are not insured and they worked with us through a very difficult time and minimised the costs of treating our very poorly Westie. I am really grateful for the care they delivered and I can recommend them highly.β
βFabulous staff! So helpful and clearly adore their patients. The vet was very understanding and gave me some excellent advice. Receptionist was wonderful and smiley. Only issue is parking, but not much can be done about that!β
βMet with Vet Rory who was one of the best vets I have seen in a long while. Took time to listen, was lovely with my 12 year old dog, Elvis, didn't recommend any unnecessary procedures, talked me through my options and gave advice on each one. I didn't feel rushed (even though they were busy) and came away feeling much hopeful for my older animal getting what he needsβ
βSince moving vets this is the first time I have had to bring one of dogs. He is usually a very nervous dog but right away, we were met by friendly staff who put ourselves and Archie at ease. This was continued when we met the vet who made archie feel comfortable, didn't try to push products on us, explained possible treatments and costs, and was knowledgeable and friendly throughout. We ledt feeling like even the vet had Archies best interests in mind opposed to trying to rack up the highest bill. Best vets visit since he was a pup, now he's 8! Would definitely recommend.β
