“Honestly, I tried all the places in Halifax and i can say that Mrs B’s deserve the 5 stars, and i will advise any one who wants to taste the actual homemade food to go there”
“A massive choice of amazing sandwich of all sorts, wrap, panini's, bread sandwiches rolls. Today I had Jamaican Jerk chicken toasted wrap and it was amazing. It was a shame I don't live local otherwise I would be there everyday. Can't recommend enough and will be visiting next time im in Halifax which may end up being sooner rather than later to have a good lunch :) super friendly lady that works there too. It did only seem to be a takeaway sandwich shop rather than somewhere you eat in.”
“I stumbled across this delightful, well stocked and different from other Health food shops this week whilst having some time to kill! The owner Natalie was so helpful and friendly it was hard not to leave. I had an excellent latte and enjoyed browsing round the shop for gift ideas. Loved the idea of plastic free products and organic fruit and veg. Bought some of their homemade peanut butter which was delicious. I will certainly be visiting again and trying the organic veg box. Well Done Natalie and family for bringing something different to Halifax.”
“As in the area popped in for breakfast. Was pleasantly surprised large breakfast as pictured £7.00 was cooked fresh and everything was hot unlike a lot of cafes. Sausage budget however was edible. I would visit again if in area”
“Excellent food excellent service excellent staff what more do you need!”

“I’ve gotten the Turkish breakfast from here twice with a mocha, such a great deal. Everything tastes delicious, and the service is immaculate. Very friendly owners and the place is so cosy.”
“Food was delicious, Ladies were friendly, helpful and cheerful. Very clean and I would highly recommend for breakfast and lunch. 5 Stars.”
“Great cafe Good varied menu, veggie options. Very good pleasant staff. Food and drinks great. Good relaxing atmosphere”
“Had the breakfast in Brow cafe. Food was delicious, very nice atmosphere. Our server Tony was brilliant, great service. Thank you”
“My favourite place to brunch. The Farmhouse Breakfast is lovely, myself and my son always love to get that, and my mum and other son are big fans of the fluffy pancakes. The portions are generous and the quality is amazing. The food menu is value for money. I always judge whether to visit a breakfast spot by the sausages on offer because decent butchers sausages always tell me the food will be good because the establishment cares about quality and the sausages here are proper butchers sausage. (I did ask for well done scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage on the accompanying image). I notice they have vegetarian options too. I've been here so many times now and it never disappoints. I always book in advance online with the easy to use booking system as they can get too busy for walk ins (shows how great they are) and I always ask to sit at the window (table 10/11/12/13) which overlooks the countryside view. You also get bookings for 1.5 hours so no rush to eat and get out. The staff are also very welcoming and friendly whilst remaining professional. Would highly recommend and continue to return time and time again.”
“My go to local place for a breakfast and a hot Spanish latte. The breakfast bun is full with flavour and is always my go to for a quick breakfast/lunch. Not to mention they do the best smash burgers!”
“Great place to eat in Halifax. Very prompt and welcoming service. Food was wonderful especially enjoyed the rid stack. Special mention to Natasha and Stephen our servers, going above and beyond to make our visit so special.”
“Just moved to the area and heard cafe no10 had just opened.. Great service and great food. Has highchairs which is easier for me and the kids. Seating in and out. Will definitely return!”
“Admittedly I hadn't been to Shibden Park in about 30 years, so it was nice to call in here for breakfast on our bank holiday weekend visit to my homeland. My partner had the large breakfast, which for the price was excellent. Lovely hashbrown! My teen daughter had the medium and I had a bagel and creme cheese. We have cappuccinos and an English tea. Plenty of seating outside and in, dog friendly both inside and out too. I am pleased I got to experience the cafe and park again in a less busy climate. Beautiful place full of memories ✨️”
“Delicious bacon butty and a brew reasonably priced whilst waiting for car to be MOTd”
“First visit for Sunday lunch. Had roast beef and chicken Sunday lunch platter for 2. Plenty food, jug of tasty gravy each. Absolutely so tasty traditional Sunday lunch, great presentation, great value for money, lovely friendly staff Nice size bistro with lovely decor, We enjoyed so much we have rebooked for next Sunday !”
“For a coffee place it should go without saying that the coffee here is excellent (and it is!), but the brunch/breakfast options here are what make this the kind of place I wish we had round the corner - had probably the nicest almond croissant I've ever had here, and that was essentially a starter for this banging brisket eggs benedict. Sometimes an eggs benedict can be disappointingly dull, but they nailed the hollandaise and every element was spot on. Looking for an excuse to find myself in Halifax again!”
“All I wanted was a soup to go . If you have ever requested this , from anywhere . It's not also available. Even rarely. There was tomato and chilli which I have. With brown bread and plenty of butter. Just how i like it . Or chicken and sweet corn . Again another top soup I would choose. Then the sweet slice . Mint cream . I had to get it. And the display then just shone. Everything looking more delicious then the next . I ended up choose a honey comb , road or something and a chocolate covered flap jack . And of course coffee to go”
“Now the Engine Room & a totally awesome place to visit, serving breakfasts, brunch, lunch & much more beside. Prices are incredibly reasonable too, with seating indoors & outdoors.”
“Lovely cafe in Westgate nr the Piece Hall in Halifax. Seating upstairs as well as downstairs. Fabulous food, I've been twice now and each time the food was delicious, especially the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel. I can also recommend the halloumi burger with fries. The staff are helpful and friendly and Luke, the chef, is great. I definitely recommend you try it.”
“Visited on bank holiday Monday with my friend and my 10 month old son. We sat outside so their was plenty of room, there didn’t seem to be high chairs here but that wasn’t much of a problem as my son just sat on my knee. Lovely food and a coffee. Really well priced. Incredibly friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.”
“Came today for Breakfast. Beautiful Restaurant and staff. The Breakfast was bloody lovely. We will be back in your delightful Restaurant very soon for the steak pie . Were so glad we found you ♥️”
“THE ENGINE ROOM - Best Full English in Halifax, perhaps even Yorkshire. When I first looked at visiting Halifax in mid-December, I thought it looked rather bleak. But all the old wool carpet mills have been turned into an array of offices for various companies with cafes, restaurants and bars on the ground floors, and a Travelodge, where I stayed, at one end of Dean Clough Mills. The Engine Room is typical of finding a great cafe that really doesn’t look like much from the outside due to the stone built exterior and you wouldn’t know it’s a hidden gem. Inside there’s a large easy to read menu but best of all the prices for the food you receive, are absolutely worth every penny. I had been in an another cafe further in the town centre the day before for an all day breakfast but it was twice the price and nowhere near the quality of the Engine Room Full English. Tell me where else can you get what’s in my photo for £6.50 plus a hot drink for £2.60, all for well under a £Tenner these days? Food quality, the Full English is cooked to perfection. The mushrooms and small grilled tomatoes are a great touch, not swimming in tomato juice. Two lovely sausages and everything exactly as you want a cooked breakfast away from home to be. The Travelodge doesn’t do a cooked breakfast but it couldn’t compete with the Engine Room, if it did. Could anywhere in Yorkshire? There’s a challenge. I know where I’m going for breakfast, midday snacks and lunch the next time I’m in Halifax - The Engine Room.”
“I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Tristan and Liam at Halifax Costa — absolute stars! From the moment I walked in, they were welcoming, professional, and genuinely friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It’s not often you come across such genuine service. Their energy and customer care really made my visit a great experience. Keep it up, guys. you’re a credit to the Costa team! Will definitely come again!”
“Had a wonderful meal here recently. Food was fabulous and the staff were great and very helpful with my gluten free needs. Thank you, we will definitely be back”
“Literally the best matcha in Halifax! Emma and James are amazing xox”
“Nice well stocked store. Had a really nice breakfast from the cafe, but the touch screen ordering is frustrating. I think it would be better speaking to a real person.”
“Came in for breakfast, I had eggs and salmon on sourdough, husband had full English, both were beautiful, really tasty and perfect portions! Coffees also really lovely, very friendly staff wil definitely be coming back!!”
