“I used to be a chef at The Royal School for the Blind in Surrey. Their taste was heightened and it was a challenge. With that experience I am hard to please when it comes to good food. We had aromatic duck pancakes. Duck was beautifully done. Ribs absolutely delicious. Light fluffy rice with generous meat. Chicken satay had a light kick to it, succulent and really nice. We are very critical of takeout food because it's often rushed and it's annoying when something is missing. But these guys really hit the spot. A birthday treat. Really loved all of the food. Top marks from both of us. Thank you.”

My Mum came down from the midlands recently to visit and ordered the chow mein which she said was the best she'd ever had. “Really good! We had a lovely meal here. We were a party of five, all vegetarian. There was a big selection of vegetarian food, lots of tofu dishes, loads of vegetable dishes and rice and noodley things. They have nice soups too. The food comes out lightening fast and is super fresh and hot. You can order as much and as often as you like. Just make sure you eat it all. Recommended.”

Very friendly staff, very reasonably priced, very efficient, the quality of food was fantastic with generous portions & remained hot by the time it arrived home. We were also given a free bottle of Coke, prawn crackers & mini spring rolls. The takeaway runs very smoothly, especially as it was Chinese New Year. “I've been visiting Sky High Fish Bar since childhood, and it remains a standout. The family-run establishment is always welcoming, offering delicious food with impressive efficiency. It's also very affordable, especially compared to other fish and chip shops in the area. A large cod and chips costs just £10, which is fantastic value. The current staff are lovely and provide excellent service. I highly recommend Sky High Fish Bar.”

“This was my first Chinese takeaway since moving to the UK from the US, and it did not disappoint! I collected my food 10 minutes after the order was confirmed, and everything was ready and still piping hot by the time I walked back home. The beef with ginger and spring onions was the standout; I bet this preparation would be good with any protein. The chicken soup with mushrooms was delicious, and I also enjoyed the chicken with mixed vegetables. The bag of shrimp crackers--a freebie for orders over 15 pd--was a lovely surprise. The food didn't come with complementary white rice, and I'm not sure if this is standard in the UK or just this place. If you want rice, be sure to order some. A tasty meal. I would order from here again. (Google makes you rate the atmosphere, and as this is a takeaway, there is none. But eating at home is good atmosphere!)”
