“Best Pasta in Brighton hands down!! Mama mi truly is one of Brightons best hidden gems. Giuseppe (the main man) is incredibly kind and charismatic and clearly loves what he does! The whole vibe of the restaurant is great too, really feels like you're back in Italy. The bruschetta was the tastiest I ever had in my life (I've had a lot) and the food overall was incredible! Shame about the opening hours but I heard they will do evening service once a week in winter.”

“We hadn’t reserved a table and we were sat quickly. We ordered 2 delicious cocktails which were good value. We ordered the Ortolan with a gluten free base and the buono and bello . Both were awesome. The service was speedy and efficient.”

Billy and his staff are very warm kind hearted folk as always they come out and say helllo the reception on arrival never disappoints the food is brilliant good sized portions that will full up the greediest of whats inside us all. Lovely melted cheesey garlic bread to start so Yummy 2 portions and a Lovely choice of food and deserts just add to its flavour and balance and cooked fresh what more could you ask for. “Love this local gem. Dropped in this evening after a long day of cooking roasts ourself. New menu item was deep fried olives with a tangy dipping sauce. I could have eaten a whole plate. Pizzas fresh and tasty and burrata the perfect accompaniment Harvey our server was friendly and welcoming just adding to a lovely experience as always. Highly recommend”

The shakes are thick, creamy, and full of flavour, made fresh to order with quality ingredients. Whether you choose a classic or something indulgent like Nutella or Biscoff, they are the perfect sweet finish to your meal, and the prices are very reasonable too.”

“If i could give service 10* I would. I've been 5 times over the years and the manager is just the nicest man you'll ever meet. Really passionate about his job and has this Italian charm about him. The food of course is exceptional with each pizza becoming more difficult to choose because they're all so tasty. Not greasy either which always sits heavy in my stomach. By far, the best branch in the UK.”

They went over and above to make our experience great, catering for my fish-like water drinking abilities and recognised my cluelessness in finding a toilet in record time without me asking. Seriously though, the staff made our afternoon :) The food was your classic brunch with a few little twists here and there. Both the dishes were tasty, with my only nitpick being that the garlic and herb beans were really just tomato ones. Otherwise, delicious! The coffees were decent too, and although there are some mega specialty places in Brighton that might pip it, it was a tasty brew! All in all it’s the perfect spot for a casual brunch or cafe for a chat. I do recommend”

“Can't find anything to complain about this independent Italian restaurant. Food was superb and the range was excellent. You can tell when everything is freshly prepared and piping hot. Staff were attentive and friendly. Prices in our opinion were very reasonable especially when you consider the quality of the food. Well worth a visit if ever in Hove.”

“We came here for dinner on a Thursday for a birthday meal. Our Server Michael was amazing and really gave us an outstanding service. One of our group has a Nut allergy, and they were happy to give us the booklet so we were able to check what she could eat and the food came with a sticker to show it was nut free meal. All the food was delicious and they even gave our friend a small happy birthday treat. Thank you for making it such a special meal!”

The food was fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care – everything from the starters to the mains tasted amazing. Prices were also very reasonable, especially for the quality you get, which makes it a great value spot. If I had to point out one thing, the atmosphere wasn’t quite as charming as the food and service – it just lacked a little warmth compared to other Italian places I’ve been to. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!”
