Very patient with my son, who's been complaining about his school shoes, it turns out they aren't the wrong size and gave us very good advise about helping stretch them out a little to stop the area of complaint rubbing anymore. “I recently travelled from Canada to the UK for my sister-in-law's wedding. I brought a frock with me but wasn't entirely pleased with the fit. On a whim, I popped into Hobbs, Brighton, on a 'just in case I see something' basis. Well, thank goodness for Lorraine. In the end, I threw myself on her mercy: "Please help!" Having lost my shopping 'eye' some time ago, I asked Lorraine to suggest some things for me and ended up trying on quite a few different dresses, jackets and so on. Including things I would not have picked out for myself. Lorraine displayed the patience of a saint and, when I asked her for it, gave me her honest opinion about what looked best. In the end, it came down to two options (both gorgeous and very flattering). I um'd and ah'd until I remembered that the joy of being a menopausal woman - who can't make a decision and has long since forgotten how to shop - is that I could afford to buy both. Many thanks to Lorraine, and her lovely colleague whose name I didn't get, for such friendly kindness and expert advice.”

“Absolutely top class service; so very helpful. Guided to shoes that would give me the support needed. The colour of one pair was not in stock, was ordered for delivery at home and with me within a couple of days. The other shoes were in stock and taken home. Trying shoes on (with help!) and feeling the comfortability is the way to go. Most pleased.”

“I went to Clarks in crawley last saturday to get some school shoes for my sister, and it was pleasant there. The store was clean, the workers there were kind and helpful, and the fitting service was even better. “I go in this shop now and then they alway do special offers in their and prices are reasonable at the moment they have a great number of xmas items on the shelves all different Santa's elves reindeer i bought a small data figure and another santa soap dispenser only £2.50 and the other figure £3 would make great presents for people the store has a mixture of clothes toys cologne after shave perfumes kitchenalia sweets etc the shop is on ground level the girl that served me was so helpful and smiling naturally seemed to enjoy her job....Easy access to shop but parking can be a bit tricky but apart from that all very good.”

“I needed some cheap shoes to wear for the next few months, and I found what I wanted in less than 3 minutes. The stores is organised well and the staff are friendly. The shoes themselves are a little rough at the back, but they can easily be modified to be comfortable. Will go back again.”
