“I've just moved to the area and this may be my new favourite supermarket!! Sheer range of items from home to food to clothing ✅ Cheaper than my normal Tesco shop ✅ Massive car park with many spaces ✅ And the chefs kiss, I originally went in to the store for only a couple of things, managed to do a big shop and the staff were so friendly they helped me get a trolley for my items and helped me pack them at the end!! 10/10! Thanks ASDA!”
“This is a great little shop. Staff are always helpful and friendly, it's actually one of the main reasons I go in there as it is out of my way but well worth it. Good choice of items.”
“Visited Co op, Hangleton Road this evening after Tesco, for Daily Mail. Tesco papers all tied up, couldnt sell me one. Lovely guy at the Co op. We have one left and i will re pack them. Fabulous service. This has happened before too !!! Well done Co op Customer Service. Im a great fan !!!”
“Excellent international food in London Road Brighton stop very polite shop fridge very clean absolutely delicious excellent everything or organised stuff very helpful and very patient assisting all the customers and answering all the question. Price very good The Shop is very easy access thank you so much”
“I had a Yodel parcel re-delivered to Blueberry’s in Brighton after a failed delivery to my property. Strangely, Yodel does not generate a collection code when you re-route a delivery to a shop a completely flawed system, considering you’d need a code to collect from a shop, not your home! Despite this, the team at Blueberry’s Jack and Eli took the time to run through thorough (and very time-consuming) security checks to make sure I was who I said I was, and still handed over my parcel. They didn’t have to do this, especially knowing they wouldn’t get paid for the collection and would have no proof I even received the parcel. Yodel’s system leaves them open to people falsely claiming packages were never picked up yet they helped me anyway. Yodel, frustratingly, accepted no responsibility and kept referring me back to the seller even though it’s Yodel who generates (or in this case fails to generate) the collection code! Massive thank you to Jack and Eli for their kindness, professionalism, and for going out of their way to help. Blueberry’s Newsagents deserve every bit of support. It’s a small local business doing a big job with integrity.”
“Great morrisons store with underground parking, lifts to and from the store, a wide selection, no clothing section like some of the larger stores but Great for grocery shopping.”
“I found this store very useful, personally. it certainly had everything i needed for a quick stirfry and drinks- it also seems to have a good selection of lunch options and even had wrapping paper and seasonal items- i think for the space allowed, they have good selection of essentials- also wheelchair access via an inside ramp with metal bars.”
“Great selection good local shop”
“Always have what I need. Friendly helpful staff. One young lad in particular always very cheerful and chatty. Clean store”
“Phill on the Friday night late shift not only helped me get through a seamless nectar point fulfilled checkout but recommended me to the double decker duo that I truly appreciated, plus he enjoyed my dreadful "dad-like" sense of humour at 1:40am. He is the true avenger in this infinite war against post - beer thanos like hunger. Yay Phill.”
“Friendly staff and good hours, the only downside is being a small store the stock can be 'variable' :-)”
“The staff at this sainsburys may be the best staff of all time. They're also all very good looking and intelligent!”
“If you live locally and are not too fussy you just might find the food items you are looking for. Not a place to do the weekly shop and pick up the offers. Alternatively, there is another mini supermarket 100m down t'road”
“Exellent staff, professional, friendly, helpful and ALWAYS cheerful. They make this community feel cared for. Strong leadership from their manager.”
“Why bad revews i have always found them helpfull my local petrol station n booze”
“Happy and helpful staff serving all types of customers. The good, the bad and the plain stupid !!… 5 stars”
“Security guard here who wears a cap and is in his 40s - 50s looks like he's ex Russian para military. Always standing to attention makes me feel as safe as houses.. Always greets me and me partner and has the eye of an Eagle. Also some of the lads behind the till have some quality banter. Girls are alright n all. Keep It up x”
“This place is actually really good. It’s clean, organised, and has pretty much everything you’d expect; snacks, drinks, random essentials, you name it. Everything’s easy to find and well-stocked, which makes quick trips super convenient. The staff are nice too, Friendly, not overly chatty, just the right vibe. Prices are decent, nothing crazy. It’s one of those places you can count on when you need something last minute or just want to grab a quick bite. Not much to complain about, honestly. It just does the job well, and that’s all you really want from a convenience store.”
“My hunger went on strike after visiting here.”
“My parents opened this shop in the mid 1950’s and we lived in the flat above, no.3. All of my childhood memories revolve around here up until I was 10 years old. The store’s name then was A&J Pickerill, we didn’t have a car and my mum would walk with deliveries every lunchtime to customers. My father was able to start the business thanks to a loan from Sir Frank Sanderson who lived in the Manor House down the lane (now converted to flats) where he is buried in the private family plot at the church. My father was chauffeur to Sir Frank before that. I believe the loan was £3,000 but I might be wrong. It was interest free and repaid within 3 years.”
“Great selection of food, especially if you want to buy something for a long train journey home - you do have to go outside of the ticket barriers - you should be able to do this if your ticket is valid. Good value and quality of food from M&S as it should be - handy for the station too”
“Always very friendly and helpful staff I have always been able to buy what I want here. A good selection for a small shop”
“Good selection, clean, well stocked, presented and rotated. Nice to see security on the door. Staff are usually upbeat and a couple even break into song on occasions which brightens my stop on the way to work. Friendly, well run store.”
“There’s a new guy called Josh and he was really helpful and kind. You need more staff like him Sainsburys!”
“Karina is a smiling bundle of joy the best staff member a company could want and a credit to the coop should be working in a fish and chop shop full time instead ✌️”
“Bought petrol and see served by a lovely friendly woman”
“Great petrol, great selection of vapes and delectable onion rings with minimal staleness, scoffed them all in my car before I even got home !”
“I have no clue as to why other reviewers experienced such a lousy service. It is true that this coop is definitely not like the other larger super-stores, but what you do have is PEOPLE. Lovely service staff who carry your shopping to the car if you are elderly, staff who will, from their own pockets, help you out if you are a few pennies or pound short. The staff in this establishment will always try to help in any way possible and will take that extra step just because they WANT to. This is a Co-Op and as such the shelves might vary but invariable most of the shelves are restocked daily and, as far as I have noticed, Thursday and Saturday nights the shelves get a good clear out and then re-stocked in bulk. There is a handy toilet just outside that is cleaned hourly, and there is also a cab office in case you needed help getting home with your shopping. The quality of the produce is of very high standards, particularly their organic range. There is also a Peacocks within the store and fresh bread and pastries are baked every morning. The parking is plentiful and there ARE street lights so you can see where you are going, its just that these people respect the surrounding nature and do not have the huge sodium or halogen lights other establishments have, this supermarket is, after all, found at the back of a field and nature reserve, surrounded by large trees and spectacular greenery; the amount of birds that nest there is surprising and exhilarating, I am guessing it wouldn't be the same if the trees where chopped down to put up flood lights just so that you can go from your car 10 meters to the entrance of the store. Finally the whole store is sparkling clean and there is also a general post office that you can do your bank, such as deposits and withdrawals along with depositing checks etc. 5 stars CoOp Peacehaven Meridian”
“Nice grocery store, staff are helpful. Located right in front of the hotel.”
