“What a pleasant surprised. Trying to find a table for 5 at midday for a spontanous roast is a tricky find when you call up most places and theyre fully booked until 5:30pm that evening - we were so lucky that wasn't the case with La Piazza and I imagine its because no one would think that this resturant would do such a great roast! Hoenestly - the portion size inceedible, the beef thin, the pork belly wasn't too crisp that we couldn't bite into the top, so yummy and the chicken was also really really good! All five of us were really happy with our choice. Would defintely go again and recommend to others. Really lovely variation of veggies too.”

“Really liked this place. Came here on a Wednesday evening with booking a table beforehand. I would suggest you'd do the same as it was full for a Wednesday (always a good sign). We ordered drinks, two small plates and two large plates and it came out of the kitchen really quickly (we were eating main meal in the next 20-25 minutes). After that we decided to have a dessert and with that it took one whole hour to order, get the desserts, finish and pay. So the service was a bit slow in the end but nothing to complain about as they were really nice and friendly. I loved the food, fairly priced and loved the fresh ingredients. One thing that bothered me was the lamb's lettuce on everything. Could be at least flavored, or maybe not there at all? I loved the atmosphere of the place, pretty decor, nice music...somebody really thought this through. Overall a great experience and would definitely visit again.”

“My fiance surprised me with a trip here for my birthday, and everything was perfect! The food was amazing - he had the chicken teriyaki ramen and I had the Unagi Don rice bowl and both were delicious. Definitely the best sushi and ramen around here, we'll be going back again as soon as we can. Thank you again for a great lunch!”

“Hidden away, this gem of a rock bar is definitely one to visit. The bar area is fairly small, but they have an area upstairs that houses bands. Didn't have time to go up and have a watch, but sounded good. Drinks were cheap and the music was good. Next time I'm in the area will definitely be visiting again.”

“Had two really lovely pizzas last night. The menu is extensive, with meat, vegetarian and vegan options, as well as pasta, salads and sides. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They are still getting themselves sorted as they have only been open a matter of days, but I really hope it's a great success.”

“Had a lovely evening at pizza express being served by the lovely Paulina! She was bubbly and attentive, helping us sort out issues with the app and so we were able to utilize the deals available. Manager Jim helped us out too, and was confident and reassured us we would get everything we wanted, and we did! Food was great, came out super speedy, thank you chefs!”

“Can't find anything to complain about this independent Italian restaurant. Food was superb and the range was excellent. You can tell when everything is freshly prepared and piping hot. Staff were attentive and friendly. Prices in our opinion were very reasonable especially when you consider the quality of the food. Well worth a visit if ever in Hove.”

“Came here this afternoon woth my partner and was greated at the door by the manager who showed us to our table, we were promptly served by mitch who acted professionally and welcoming. The pizzas were delicious, large with a good ammount of toppings, the doughballs were hot and fluffy and the halloumi bites were well seasoned. The passion fruit cocktails were lovely and sweet with a good kick to them. For gluten free dining i cant recommend this place enough, the staff took great care and all gluten free food had stickers making them clearly marked. 10/10”

We happened in on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed the Sunday roast along with l excellent service. Everything was delicious and top notch. We chose our table, the decor was really cool, servers were exceptionally friendly and when the food came out, it was excellent. Reasonably priced and great quality. Served with a smile. “Thank you Hove Place for a wonderful Christmas lunch! Here goes a gushing review… Today my partner and I had booked in for Christmas Day lunch and it didn’t disappoint. We thought the £145 price per person was a bit steep (especially as there was a £6 supplement on the steak), but we’ve eaten in there before so we were confident it wouldn’t disappoint, and it didn’t! Firstly, we were greeted warmly by all of the staff, I thought they might be a little jaded after the first lunch sitting, but they were all full of energy and festive cheer. We enjoyed every single course; I loved my venison starter and the Christmas pudding dessert. We both agreed that the turkey was the best we’ve both ever eaten. Neither of us are huge turkey fans and I only eat it once a year at Christmas and generally regret it. We were served one thick slice of turkey each, in a stack with stuffing and a Yorkshire pudding, so we both anticipated to experience a mouthful of dry meat. How wrong we were; it was succulent and moist (yes I said that word). The food came out a good pace and the service from the lovely Courtney, our waitress, was great. The ambience of the pub is perfect for Christmas so we’re definitely going back again.”

“Atmosphere was a bit quiet as there was a huge storm outside so it was less busy than usual. It's normally lively and enjoyable though. Food was exceptionally good, as it always is here. Great value, especially with the annual members card. Fantastic variety, catering for veggies and vegans too, yay! Would love a bit more vegan protein that isn't fake meat, but hey, I'm not complaining, just gently suggesting! Staff are always friendly, capable, available and competent. All in all a reliably fantastic restaurant with great prices, wonderful food, super service and a friendly vibe. Highly recommended!”

“The salad bar is my favorite. I appreciate the wide selection of vegetables with several sauces to choose from. I also recommend the pizzas; there are eight varieties to choose from, and they are delicious. Drinks and desserts are not included in the price and need to be purchased separately. Very kind, friendly service.”
