“While visiting, I forgot that I am actually on my holidays and not at war time. Impressed by this fort. I takes you through the times of both world wars and the history of wartime Britain. It's a dog friendly place but be aware that all the ramps are made of steel and they get extremely hot in summer.”

“Got the feeling that it had not been open long. A work in progress or perhaps it was just the time of year. A lovely place for families there was something for everyone. Well stocked garden centre and the staff were very helpful. My only criticism was the moss on parts of the outdoor paths which could prove a slip hazard. I didn't go in the cafe as it was half term and very busy.”

“This 24/7 Mc Donald’s saved me when my ferry arrived 4 AM and while waiting for the train for an hour. A pity they only start the breakfast dishes at 5 AM not before ! Never mind, got a Big Mac and it was excellent !”
