Contacted Glen at Washco Appliance Repair before the weekend and boom - dishwasher fixed. Glen arrived as promised Monday morning. Before he came he gave an indication of what he thought it might be and associated cost. Can’t recommend enough - wish we’d contacted him 6 months ago - then again we did get very efficient with using less plates at dinner and washing everything by hand quickly!! Thanks again. I went in and after the initial greetings, I confirmed I was happy browsing for the moment. Once I'd identified my new potential washer, I asked all the usual questions. I learned a lot about the all brands you think are brands in their own-right but turn out to be the same brand, just with different packaging etc. I was shown a different but very similarly priced machine which was in keeping with my requirements. I opted for the one I felt met my criteria (pipped-to-the-post by the machine with real and sturdy buttons, not too much chrome to have to keep shiny, super speedy cold washes etc.), paid for it and then TOOK IT AWAY IN MY OWN CAR within minutes. 2 years down the line, it's still functioning wonderfully.
