“I recently returned to Clayton Cars after 10 years, having just bought a Mini that needed a handbrake adjustment. Walking in and seeing Lee again felt like catching up with an old friend—such a warm and welcoming experience! One of the younger mechanics (I think Pip’s son) took care of the handbrake and jokingly reassured me, “It’s good for handbrake turns now” The level of honesty, integrity, and customer service here is truly outstanding. They also helped me order some parts and will be fitting them soon—just another example of their fantastic service. It’s so refreshing to find a garage where you feel like more than just a customer. He also advised me they had a garage and given my car required an MOT I booked in. He did a wonderful job with it and was far more reasonably priced than any other garage I have been to in bristol. “Fantastic service. I visited to buy a fire extinguisher because my brake had seized an I was concerned about a fire issues. No garages were able to fix the issue immediately in order for me to return to Cardiff. The assistant manager phoned around for me and arranged for a mobile mechanic to fit a new caliper outside their shop. Truly tremendous service and the repair was excellent value too. “I had my old car serviced and MOT'd here, the guys were always friendly and helpful, during my service it came to light that I needed a coolant pump replacing which wasn't ideal, but I knew it was likely as I was losing coolant. The price was reasonable, and the work was carried out as fast as they could get the part. Where they really went above and beyond was 6 months later when I started to notice coolant loss again, I took the car back having had a look myself and seeing there was liquid dripping from somewhere. They called me up and told me that the head gasket was going (was something I was worried about as I had noticed excess smoke out the back but hoped it was just the time of year) rather than charge me an arm and a leg to replace the gasket or fix it temporarily for cheap they advised me to get rid of the car. Then when I went to pick the car up, they didn't even charge me for the time they spent, they did me a real solid and have probably saved me a lot of money in the long run. I wouldn't trust my car anywhere else.”

“I struggled to find an "all-in-one" garage near Filton, but stumbled across GR Auto Services that listed they could do most work on cars including head gasket. They are located just as you enter Yate and just a 25 minute drive from Filton. I phoned up and was greeted politely and felt my car would be in good hands when dropping off. I explained about a potential misfire with our 2016 Ford Focus and they were able to squeeze in diagnostics within a few days. I was greeting by a friendly receptionist and doggo and immediately put at ease. The issue was diagnosed and fixed the same day as drop off! Misfire was being caused by sparkplug or ignition coil. 4 sparkplugs and an ignition coil later and the car is feeling smoooooth again! Location is right next to Yate train station, so after drop off I was able to jump onto a train back to Bristol. Would recommend and will be back for any future issues with our car(s) - Thanks again!”
