“We had a wonderful night, full of laughs and so many magical moments... We visited with our 8 year old son who adored the evening. Billy Kidd was a wonderful host and amazing magician.”
“You won't find a nicer shop anywhere for children's toys! There is such a good range of lovely, carefully curated and thoughtful gifts for children of all ages, and a very good selection for neurodivergent children. You can just tell the owners really love and understand children. Everything bought online arrives beautifully packaged and is delivered quickly. It's my go-to place every Christmas and I recommend it to everyone!”
“What a wonderful bit of nostalgia. The little theatre is tucked away but smack bang in the centre of Bath. Mondays appear to be the cheaper nights at roughly £9 a ticket. Inside it really is like stepping back in time. The seats are comfy and if you ask for seat recommendations, the staff are lovely, friendly and honest. We had a great time and it reminded us how much we loved the cinema before the big chains came in!”
“Such a lovely little theatre hidden away in a lovely part of the beautiful city of Bath. Intimate, comfortable, friendly volunteers to greet you and serve drinks from the licensed bar. Definitely worth checking what’s on as the shoes are so varied there’s something for everyone!”
“A great little theatre with steeply tiered seating, meaning you get an excellent view.”
“Genuinely brilliant. Lovely staff, lovely food.”
“Really great venue, such a unique space. Huge room with dramatic sky light. Nowhere else like it in Bath. Coffee & juices excellent. Enjoyed my bacon bap with great hash browns. Young staff but very much on the ball. Recommended.”
“Love rose cottage so much. Everyone is so friendly, the food is great and theres a Brilliant play area for the kids to run around on a nice day.”
“Beautiful National Trust site. Excellent walks with stunning views. Dyrham Park house is just stunning with beautiful gardens, church, and ponds. You have video history, tea rooms, and a mobility bus for the elderly and disabled. Really helpful, informative staff. We would highly recommend.”
“What a wonderful place for little ones to have fun! Today was our first session at the play hub and we loved it! I have a two year old, but it’s suitable for younger babies and toddlers alike. Such a lovely, open and safe space for little ones to play freely with lots of different sensory bits and pieces as well as a little sandpit, my daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself! Hot drinks are served in spill proof flasks, which is perfect keeping the little ones safe and there’s a great menu for little ones, with lots of options to choose from for a lovely little lunch! Also a lovely selection for the adults too! I will definitely return for another play session in the future!”
“Smart, slick and the coffee was pretty good and at a sensible price. The cakes looked good but I didn't try them. Ever since Liz Truss was in power coffee has gone up, chocolate too, I can't think why. But at £2.40 that's good compared to some places at £3.45.”
“I've been wanting to visit for a while and had no regrets, there's loads to see, the festive decor was great and we heard a volunteer give a talk about Salem Witch Trials which we didn't know was happening that day and really enjoyed! Would definitely come back in better weather to enjoy the gardens.”
“Great central location with convenient parking within walking distance. Perfect size venue for watching ABC. We would definitely come here again. They also book a great variety of artists and acts.”
“Nice modern build. Used downstairs room which has a bar, disabled access, no parking structure in area of residential only parking. Free on street parking further up the hill, its a steep hill too.”
“Saw Good Bye Mr Haffman. From start to finish a fantastic experience very moving thought provoking and funny to boot. All the actors made this play come alive. Nice theatre sat in the stalls third row and had a good clear view of every thing. Sell out every seat taken great atmosphere.”
“Great local community hall with lots of varied activities. Accessible. Baby change and toilets on site. Tiny car park is often quite busy, spaces are on the small side.”
“Lovely little theatre I have a seen a great amount of shows in. The visibility is good no matter what seat your in as its almost every row is elevated. Building also has an intresting history to it (was once an old church)”
“Stunning store set out like a home with every room styled.”
“This is a community centred project hiring people who would not otherwise get able to work. Turn up on your own and I would guarantee someone would chat to you within 5 minutes. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the location as close to Southgate shopping area. Well worth supporting.”
“Improv Lab is just outstanding. The ‘facilitator’ Ash was perfect, gave us confidence and inspiration to enjoy every week of the course; never a dull moment. It was a fun (usually hilarious) but meaningful experience for me as well as the other participants who were , without exception wonderful people. Highly recommend it to build confidence and forget your troubles!”
“Lovely place. They had toys for my children to play with lots of atmosphere with people coming in and out discussing music and having lessons. Limited food menu of toasties and cakes etc but nice.”
“We hosted our wedding reception here. It was a lovely day and a great venue. We rented out an additonal side room as a kids room which i think the parents liked more than the kids as they could play but still be nice and close to be monitored. The team were really helpfull getting us booked, up and running and also with the clean up / packdown.”
“Just a unique experience which is all about freedom, creativity, spontaneity and real connection with nature. The whole enterprise is infused with the boundless benevolence of Rachel and Edward. I'm so glad my children had a chance to be part of Swainswick Explorers.”
“I can’t thank the kind staff and volunteers enough for the care they offer to their community. Mum loves her days there and looks forward to the contact with all her Peggy Dodd friends.”
“Southside soft play is an amazing place to take toddlers and have breakfast/snack and coffe while they play!! The staff are very friendly and helpful great for mums and dads with toddlers or just wanting a chat with other parents!!!”
“Our Choir booked out some rooms for rehearsals over a weekend, and we had a great time in the spaces provided. The staff was incredibly kind, and even provided tea and coffee for those attending. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for hireable spaces in Bath.”
“I am just about to enroll my third child into Little Willows nursery. A new nursery has opened much closer to me but I still want to make the journey across town to Little Willows because I know and trust them and can't fault the way they run the place and what they have done for our children so far. All the staff are polite and friendly and seem to love working there. They are all friends with each other and that really creates a great atmosphere. I value their opinion and often ask them over my health visitor!! They were as excited as my family were when we told them no.3 was on the way! Very flexiable - you can move or add days if there is availability. They really get to know your children and how to handle them to help them grow. Thank you Little Willows! Keep up the good work x”
“Booked with my two kids (10f 7m) and my parents to go in the afternoon on a weekend. There was plenty to do as we walked around the park. Kids never stopped and were never bored. The adventure playground dominates the main field with plenty of things to climb, swing on, or slide down. Other activities the kids enjoyed were peddle karts, climbing wall, feeding the goats, mini golf, and the slip n slide and pools (summer only). They had a great time and I thought it was definitely good value.”
“Steve recently completed a full bathroom renovation for us and we could not be happier. We’ve used Steve’s services for many years now and never been less than satisfied with any job he has done for us. Steve is an expert at what he does and will always give you honest guidance and advice on the best way to use your space. He’s reliable, trustworthy, friendly and always on time. Cannot recommend more highly and definitely worthy of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanks Steve. Lisa and Ant.”
“A beautiful spot to tour and relax in Bath. The entrance is an easy bus ride or an uphill walk. Staff and volunteers are friendly and informative. I went at opening time and had the place mostly to myself for a bit and it never became crowded. The walk around the park is nice and worth doing, but not a must-do. My favorite part was sitting in on the reclining chairs reading and enjoying the view and the birds.”
