“Great little sandwich shop. Always a pleasant service and good value for money. Recommend!”
“Great place to stop, incredible breakfasts and coffee ☕️”
“Came in only for coffee. Was lovely and chilled place to sit down. Lots of plants! The coffee was delicious. Had a selection of cakes !”
“Beautiful setting in the remaining standing part of the old castle. Fairly short menu - mainly toasties and sandwiches - alongside cakes, crisps and hot and cold drinks. Decent outside seating area to enjoy during warmer weather. Shared a bacon sandwich with the small child - impressive amount of bacon, and toasted local bread. Toilet was a little grim but otherwise all good.”
“City Cafe acts as the pumping heart of my chosen city - Bristol. It would be easy to boil this down to the large range of affordable delicious options they offer (both meat and veggie) and the unbelievably quick service they provide, but even this praise would be selling it short. I can say without hesitation that what makes City Cafe truly outstanding is the personable and charming staff and customer service provided without fail. Ahmed, Murat, and Soloman (and that's just to name a few) are genuine guys whose hearts lie with their business. Along with all of their fresh quality ingredients, you'll find yourself tasting something a little bit unplaceable spread evenly throughout your beautifully jam-packed halloumi wrap. This is in fact: love. If you're looking to challenge yourself in 2025, try this. Place your order at City Cafe, have a chat with those blue-polo-shirted studs, and try not to fall head over heels for them! Mark my words, you're bound for failure. But not before you're bound for a mouth full of exciting flavours and tastes. Get down there as soon as you can and show some support to the soulful staple of Bristol...City Cafe. Maybe I'll see you there...who knows. City Cafe is what dreams are made for, and I'll tell you that for nothing.”
“Cafe Amoré is the most iconic cafe in Bristol, with stunning decor and a large open space. The cafe has many options to choose from from different beverages and coffees, to sandwiches, pizzas, breakfasts and many more. The food is always great quality here. There is plenty of seating in the main area, upstairs and also outside.”
“A little gem in front of college green serving an excellent coffee. The coffee here tastes different and refreshing. It's a small independent outlet run by lovely welcoming people. They also have excellent food options with snacks and lunches including a full vegan menu. The interior is beautiful and done tastefully, there is bigger space downstairs which can accommodate more people. Do visit this place to have an excellent coffee when you are in the heart of the city and in middle of all the action, it's quite a refreshing break.”
“We visited the Bistro after a quick shop around 4.30ish today. I just want to say the lads behind the Bistro counter downstairs were so kind and welcoming, best customer service we have received in a long time. My daughter spilt her drink and was a bit tearful with embarrassment however one of the lovely guys helped clear it up for us and made her feel at ease. Sorry I didnt get your name but you were fab!”
“I don't very often go to the M&S cafe because I thought it would be overpriced but I was pleasantly surprised when a slice of cake and a cup of tea came to approx £5. The service was really good. I was feeding the baby at the till and the lady offered to bring my drink and cake over. A chap brought it over in the end but he was very thoughtful and got me some sugar too! Will definitely be returning.”
“Didn’t stop at the cafe for a drink but I had walked about 10 miles on a very hot day. I asked the waitress behind the bar if they could fill up my bottle and my dogs and they were all very kind and happy to help and very sympathetic. I’d recommend going as the staff are lovely and do a great service!”
“Great local fish and chip place with really lovely new owners. These fish and chips are as good as you'll find in the area with excellent homemade mushy peas and tartar sauce. Large child friendly restaurant to eat in or take away. Try them out!”
“Used for the first time, not disappointed at all. Very friendly staff.”
“Great Cafe, very busy but the wait to place the order was still quick and was still easy to find a clean table. Had only been sat for a minute and the breakfast arrived. Breakfast was pleasant as was my latte. There was constantly someone clearing tables. Busy cafe but very well run, the best supermarket cafe I have been in by far”
“Went here after 5 days at the green gathering festival at chepstow race course. We were starving and at the start of a 4 hour drive, the food was reasonably priced good portions and I was given gluten free toast with m breakfast. Which was a bonus.”
“Lovely location serving Great food & Cakes including Gluten Free choices and excellent coffee highly recommend”
“Local favourite venue. Excellent coffee, great food, slightly expensive. We paid £25 for two flat whites, a wrap and pulled pork with chips. Biker's hang out, mostly older guys, not too noisy. Recently expanded and much bigger than was. Lots of outdoor seating when it's nice. About 20 car parking spaces. OK weekdays but likely to be full at weekends. Enjoy!”
“Went to get food and had the pup with us, asked if it was ok for her to come in, which they ladies said yes. Got a lovely baguette and the most amazing nutella brownie. Will defo be going back!”
“I wouldn't consider myself a coffee snob but I've had lots of coffee around Bristol and this is by far the best! Had an Iced Oat Latte with Honduran Coffee, super smooth and perfect on the scorcher of a day it was. We didn't eat there but know the bakery they source their Vegan bakes from (Forest Bakery) and can say without doubt it would have been delicious. First visit, very impressed, will certainly be coming back.”
“one of the most favorite cafes where you can enjoy cream tea. The staff is very nice. ❤️ The only thing I don't understand is their work schedule. Because they are closed for more time than open, and I specifically go to them, and then fault.”
“I would highly recommend The coffee shop. I've visited many times for lunch during a dog walk. There is a good choice of food to suit most people's taste. My favourite food at the moment is the fish finger sandwich. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Popular with my dog who loves visiting for a doggy treat.”
“I came by a few hours ago and had a really great experience. James served me a lovely latte — smooth, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the service was friendly from the moment I walked in.”
“Lovely jacket potatoes, just had a lovely lite breakfast x service always good x”
“We stop here quite regularly. Always great toasties and really good coffee. A bacon and cheese and a Brie and cranberry in the photos.”
“Nice little coffee shop, popped in on our travels for a takeaway coffee. Few seats out the front as well, which was nice as the weather was calm. Lovely Flat white and speedy service with coffees being brought to the table”
“Great local cafe, service is great and the food prices are super value with a good choice. The best point is they are flexable to help with your food requirements if you want to swap something they will. a local cafe you must try”
“The college is the best place ever and the staff are amazing and the students are funny to be with”
“Good food, Friendly service and a clean tidy place to eat.”
“I just think this place is just perfect to go work at, have some quiet time or just enjoy the sun ! (I’m advanced at tuning out the sounds of excitable children who they have an unfair amount of)”
“Set in a lovely location in a wood. Very rustic tea room with outside seating in the woods. Cakes were delicious”
