“We held our wedding here, 26 people - the whole experience was outstanding. The castle is obviously very beautiful- it is also maintained so well, and rooms full of lovely touches. Staff are always friendly yet unobtrusive, helpful and efficient - special thanks to Sophie for always being calm and amazingly helpful. The food was wonderful, over all our visits and the wedding itself.. Our day was so very special here!”

“We shamelessly come here at least once a week and really like it. My 2 year old is happy to play without me in the soft play and the people who run it are always very friendly and professional - they have even offered my little girl a sticker when she was kicking off about wanting a yoghurt to help distract her (2 year olds are brutal!). The toilets are clean and the changing facilities are very good. The food is good - they have a small kitchen but actually do really well considering the space they have and they have a decent, varied menu. Would currently highly recommend the breakfast wrap and it’s great value at just £4.50. I am incredibly grateful that this place exists as I don’t know what we would do if it wasn’t here, it’s become a regular staple in our routine and I hope my daughter continues to enjoy it so I can keep enjoying my coffees while they’re hot!”

“2nd stay at midland way, it is such a nice place felt like my own little flat, very welcoming and modern had all the kitchen bits n bobs that I needed. It was very clean. Location is good in terms of plenty of food shops and close to the high street. It can get a busy noisy from the main road but that didn’t bother me to much. Just kept the window shut most of the time. Will definitely be using this place again and definitely recommend. It’s my new go to stay when I come up to Bristol.”

The sandwiches were absolutely delicious - fresh and full of flavour. The selection of cakes was excellent and good sizes. A perfect way to spend a relaxed afternoon. The pub itself has a really lovely garden with children’s play area and a good sized car park. Highly recommend booking an afternoon tea.”

The outdoor seating area is beautiful with a gorgeous view and the food was incredible, we opted for curries and they were so flavourful and well presented, great value for money. The sweet and sour chicken is a real standout: perfectly crispy batter with tender, juicy chicken inside, all coated in a sauce that strikes the perfect balance between tangy and sweet without being overly heavy. Their special fried rice is packed full of prawns, roast pork, chicken, and vegetables, making it a meal in itself. We also love their beef with black bean sauce, where the beef is always tender, and the sauce is rich and full of authentic flavour. “It was perfect. The party of 11 people were all seated together in a lovely private area. They allowed us to put up decorations for my 70 th birthday celebration. I think we all had different meals, but they came out together and we're all piping hot. I had the belly pork and it was simply delicious, I definitely need the recipe for the gravy! The staff were attentive but not pushy. It was a really lovely occasion made even more special by the staff and the food . Well done to you all.”
