After dropping by the store unannounced to look over the displays it quickly became clear that the quality of the product is higher than the run of the mill Wrens and Magnets out there. This excited us and we decided to book a sit down appointment with Egle and Shahab. Fast forward 6 months and an extension later and we have the kitchen of our dreams!. While I am yet to receive it, and see the final product in...flesh, so to speak, I feel compelled to review my experience already. In fact, I couldn't recommend David and Theo enough. The lads have been awesome in helping me throughout the process - from the initial design, to accommodate a last minute necessary change to it. They were always available to help, saw me with very short notice and genuinely did their best to make sure everything worked for me. They provided also very valuable suggestions. “We had our Sigma 3 kitchen installed this summer at the tail end of a building project to extend our home. We absolutely love how it has turned out! Our kitchen designer was Dean Walton and he did a great job in advising us on both the practicalities and the design touches. Nothing was too much trouble as we discussed ideas and tweaked the design until it was just right, including a larder cupboard and banquette seating with storage. He helped us to choose the right appliances as well as ensuring we fitted in all the elements we needed to suit the way we live. Dean, Craig and Jamie at the Colchester Avenue, Cardiff branch were all fantastic in looking after us well and ensuring we had a great experience in choosing and completing our kitchen. Everyone we dealt with was lovely from our initial visit all the way through to the delivery drivers and fitters. We were so impressed we went back to them for our utility room too. “A very large shop and the only IKEA in Wales. The shop sells a wide variety of things for the home, including furniture, soft furnishings, bedding, storage boxes, crockery and kitchen utensils, lighting, rugs and much more. Most of the parking is underneath the shop (very useful on a rainy day) with some disabled spaces and electrical vehicle charging spaces located near the shop entrance. There are lifts, stairs and escalators providing access to the main shopping floors. The second floor is home to the main furniture showroom with the rest of the shop accessed via the first floor. If you don't want to look around the showroom, you can access the shopping area directly from the first floor (behind the stairs). If you are looking for anything in particular, I'd recommend checking stock online before visiting. The website will tell you whether the item is in stock here, how many they have and where they are located. They also have computers available at the main furniture warehouse which you can use to search for any items you need to find. The IKEA app offers a useful'scan as you shop' which is very useful to speed up checkout at the self-service tills via a dedicated express checkout. The shop includes a small restaurant and cafe (where IKEA Family members can claim a free hot drink), a small shop selling a selection of mostly Swedish food items and snacks and a children's crèche.”

“Dan was very knowledgeable about the various items I showed an interest in and also offered tea, which was very welcome after a long walk. He checked in occasionally while I was browsing, but wasn't pushy at all. Although much of the sofa stock was bigger, depth-wise, than I needed, I found a recliner chair that was ideal and look forward to it arriving in due course. Dan also demonstrated the Fama sofa options on the screen, which was very interesting.”
