“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another Fantastic Visit – Incredible Team at Toby Carvery Cardiff Gate! We came back to Toby Carvery Cardiff Gate, and once again, we were absolutely delighted by the exceptional service—from Bron, her manager Ben, and her lovely colleague Caitlin. Bron continues to shine every time we visit. She’s so kind, attentive, and effortlessly warm with everyone she serves. Her ability to make every guest feel welcome and looked after is truly something special. It’s clear she puts her heart into what she does, and it makes a huge difference to the overall experience. We also want to highlight Ben, the manager, who sets a fantastic tone for the team. He’s approachable, supportive, and clearly leads by example. The atmosphere here is so positive and well-organized, and that kind of environment starts at the top. Caitlin was equally brilliant—friendly, upbeat, and always ready with a smile. She worked seamlessly alongside Bron and Ben, helping to create a genuinely warm and welcoming vibe even on a busy day. The food was as delicious and satisfying as ever—hearty portions, well-cooked roasts, and all the trimmings. But it’s truly the people at this location that make it stand out. The care, teamwork, and professionalism we saw today were absolutely top-notch. Thank you again to Bron, Ben, and Caitlin for another memorable visit. “Had a fabulous 2 night stay at this hotel. After initial hiccup (2nd floor + no lift + bad chest) this was resolved immediately and was put in a much larger closer room on the 1st floor. The staff couldn’t be nicer and more accommodating from the front desk to the cleaners to the housekeeping staff. Not modern but that suited me nicely. Brilliant location and more than value for money.”

“Tried Curry Hut last weekend with some Malayali friends, and we all agreed it’s the best place in Cardiff for South Indian style spice. The mutton curry reminded us of nadan curry from Kerala, rich with coconut and perfectly spiced. Their kottu roti is something different but still familiar, almost like Kerala beef fry with parotta mixed together. If you’re a Malayali missing proper heat and homely food, this place won’t disappoint. I've tried other places in Cardiff but by far this is the best Kerala food out there.”

“Good hotel located in the center of Cardiff - but close enough to the harbor and coastline. The quality is what you expect from a Park Inn. The rooms are well fitted and clean. Service was very good and breakfast was good. One star goes away because my room had a window to the lobby - strange!”

“We visited the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill several times during our stay in Cardiff, as it was part of the Indigo Hotel. We had breakfast and lunch there while staying at the hotel. The restaurant is centrally located in Cardiff, but it can be a little difficult to spot because it is located on the 6th floor of the Indigo Cardiff. Upon entering, you are greeted by a very stylish and modern restaurant with a lovely grand piano and plenty of seating for drinks before or after your meal. Breakfast was a very pleasant experience. There was a range of options on the continental buffet, and you also get a choice from their breakfast menu. I had "The Favourite," which is smoked salmon, eggs, and avocado on sourdough. It was divine. The continental buffet had everything you would want, including fruits, cereals, pastries, a variety of breads, and more. We then stopped for Sunday lunch, which I have to say was absolutely fantastic. I started with French onion soup, which was sensational. Then, my husband and I both had the Sunday roast. There was so much of it that I couldn't quite believe it when it was delivered to the table. There was so much meat, and the beef was amazingly tender. There was pretty much every side you could want, including Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roast potatoes, and a huge array of vegetables, including amazing cauliflower cheese. The service was also fantastic from start to finish. The whole team was highly professional and approachable. I personally cannot fault anything that we had, and every aspect was top quality. I would certainly recommend a visit if you're looking for a fantastic Sunday roast—but make sure you come hungry!”

“We did Canyoning with our guide Neil who was great. The route was the right level of challenging - few tight squeezes and some decent jumps. The water is as cold as it looks and really does make you feel alive. It’s not the cheapest activity but worth it overall as it was lots of fun and everyone had a great time.”

“Absolutely superb dining experience. Thank you to Donna, Clare et al, for making my 50th birthday so very special. Scallops to start, the Lamb for my main and a treacle tartlette for dessert with an additional birthday surprise. They accommodated my daughter's special requirements and indulged me one of mine. This is something I'll not forget in a hurry, if ever. The staff go above and beyond with the bonus addition of three gorgeous spaniels who were super well-behaved. Highly recommended gold star!”

“After walking around Cardiff market and heading upstairs I stumbled upon this pizza place and there was no way I was walking past without giving one a go. I’m so glad that I did because what fantastic pizza! The pizza was cooked to perfection and full of flavour and all of the menu was reasonably priced. There was a long wait for the pizza to arrive and the extra topping I asked for the guy did make up a price on the spot at £4 which I thought was a little much. But overall I would recommend as it’s some of the best pizza around and it was also great to see this type of place situated in Cardiff market.”

“Great pizza served in a very friendly atmosphere. We have been here in a small group and also a very large catered group (30+) and both occasions, the food was fast, hot and delicious. Save some space for the excellent fresh cannolis - this is definitely not the place of you are counting carbs! Recommended and have returned.”
