“Lovely little vegan restaurant. Quite close to roath park which was very nice to explore and the area seemed quite nice too with lots of other little shops and cafes. I had the quiche which was quite nice! A little salty for my personal taste but quite flavourful. It had a really nice crisp pastry. Would definitely visit again when next in Cardiff to try some of their other dishes. My friend had the Thai curry which was quite nice too. She also had the Pina colada smoothie which she said was very nice. It was fairly busy but we were able to get a table for two without booking in advance at around 12:40 on a Sunday. We did find it a little difficult to have a conversation when the blender was running, but otherwise the atmosphere was lovelt. Can't wait to visit again when next in the area!”
“A really friendly Italian cafe owned by a lovely Sicilian man. Locals use it regularly. It also sells Italian items like pasta, tinned tomatoes and coffee beans. The menu has a good selection of food and drink items. There's not much parking space on the street but spaces may be available in the surrounding area.”
“Possibly The best dining experience I've ever had! From the incredible attentive team who look after you to the fabulous and creative food and expert wine pairing, this was a truly special experience. This restaurant is long overdue a Michelin Star.”
“One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Every dish was immaculate and both the service and atmosphere were amazing.”
“Fantastic as always, the miso burger is 5/5 and the beer battered onion rings are some of the tastiest I’ve ever had. Cucumber salad was Korean style cut and was a lovely papa cleanser between burger bites!”
“Always the friendliest staff, beautiful tasting food which is very good value for money and it’s all for a good cause. A lovely place to sit, relax and have a beautiful curry. I keep coming back again and again!”
“What a fabulous find!! We were staying in Newport just for one night and were so glad for New Ole! We love tapas and this was excellent! The choices looks so delicious and the welcome was so welcome - we decided to leave it all up to the incredible chef! He did not disappoint!! We were spoilt the whole evening by our gorgeous waitress and enjoyed delicious food and wine. Highly recommend and we hope to be back!”
“The Arcadia Coffee House is one of a kind. They serve hot buttered crumpets, which not many cafes serve. The decor is fab and original and there is a great vibe. I love their lattes, which are served with lots of whipped cream and marshmallows. Their lemon cake is to die for! Tangy, moist and delicious. Need I say more? The Arcadia is situated at the forefront of Newport Arcade, and once you have have finished your latte, there are a myriad of little shops for you to visit there - each with their their own quirky style. You are bound to find something you like. Visit The Arcadia Coffee House and the Arcade itself and you will not be disappointed.”
“Lovely food, fantastic staff the owner is so friendly and makes you feel welcome. Had 2 rolls one bbq beef, cheese with peppercorn sauce and other garlic beef, cheese and peppercorn sauce was well worth the money. I think they was £6.50 each and 2 cans drink come to around £15”
“Best curry we have had for ages! Quality of meat seemed very good and tastes were all so delicious.”
“Beautiful flavours. Huge portions. Good quality and priced food. Couldn't ask for more. You can see the chef works hard, she's definitely a fab cook. Fair play, be visiting whenever we can. Nice to have something different in aberdare.”
“I was pleasantly surprised to discover an authentic Japanese dining experience in Cardiff. The flavors and ambiance transported me back to Japan, capturing the essence of true Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended for those seeking an exquisite and genuine taste of Japan.”
“Excellent food and service. Feels like you are eating home cooked food away from home.”
“Mama Mia, that is some fine pizza! Absolute first grade pizzas are being made in this little pizzeria in the heart of Caerphilly, and I want to go back to try the different things on the menu. I think one of the reasons the food here is so good is that they use such high-quality ingredients, so even the most simple dishes taste magnificent. Bravo!”
“Excellent service and beautiful food. Very friendly, nothing was too much trouble I would definitely recommend Jafran Indian Takeaway.”
“This is a gem of a place. Just opposite the Old Rompney Castle in Wentloog Road. The ladies serve a wide range of quality food, from breakfast and hot and cold sandwiches and light brunch such as salads and jacet potatoes. There is a wide variety of hot and cold beverages including iced latte and teas and a good choice of cakes to tempt you. Really relaxed atmosphere and spotlessly clean, you really can't find places like this anymore as the prices are extremely affordable and you can ring in ahead and collect.”
“One of my fave places to sit and catch up on some work or meet friends. Delicious food, including the BEST cakes and cookies - all home made, pancakes are lush, bacon butties you can not fault. I'm a regular now and only wish they were open more often.”
“A small intimate restaurant. The staff are attentive and friendly, the time for the drinks and food to arrive was quick but at no time were we felt that we needed to hurry up and free up the table. And most importantly the food was delicious. One of my party required gluten free. No problem even their pizza tasted like pizza and not 'cardboard'. Can't wait to visit again.”
“Really good food for a very cheap option… we had Thai Green curry and Tom yum fried rice and it was really amazing.”
“Looking for a bite at lunchtime we found Tholos completely by chance, we love Greek, so we decided to try it, so glad we did. The food was incredible, a perfect taste of Greece. The staff were so friendly and helpful, advising us on the size of portions (very generous) as we were eating out with our children. The surroundings were lovely, and the food was out quickly, but we still felt at a relaxed pace. The meal was fabulous, we are so glad we decided to go in. If you are nearby, I 100% recommend a visit. We are returning this week to sample an evening meal whilst we are still on holiday. A wonderful place.”
“Amazing cafe, very good food at very cheap prices! The owner is lovely and friendly, we talked about art, he has his photos up on the walls too, I was impressed! Clean unisex toilet at the back. Really welcoming, friendly atmosphere.”
“One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever visited, it should be since I've been planning on going for 15 years now, such a small place, but with an excellent, authentic atmosphere. Will definitely come again, although always remember to book in advance as there's only 13 tables.”
“A great restaurant for Halal Hot Pot. We ordered the Halal set menu but swapped the Beef for more Lamb. Right from when we were shown our table to when we left with some spare food packed, we received great customer service. Will be returning to Cardiff for this experience again.”
“Chicken Tikka Karahi was authentic. The chicken was well marinated meaning the flavours went inside the good quality meat and as a result it was very tender and moist. The spices were on point. The bindi was fresh and well cooked with onions, tomatoes and spices, so the vegetable was the right consistency, tender but not slimy. The rice was fluffy and delicate and the paratha mopped up the flavours. No alcohol which makes for a pleasant atmosphere although they will serve your own if you bring it, with no corkage charge. Highly recommend,”
“We've been here so many times now and we always love coming back. The staff are lovely and the food is delicious! One of our favourite Japanese restaurants to visit. Very well priced and high quality ingredients.”
“Amazing food. Amazing service. I cannot wait for another visit. Felt welcomed the moment we stepped through the door. The food was to die for and brought back many memories of childhood holidays.”
“Nice beautiful Italian restaurant, Great atmosphere and amazing real Italian pizza made it at Napoli's style. The Pasta is very tasty and very good too!!! To finish with a delicious dessert , my favourite was the warm croissant. All followed by a superb service.”
“My mum and I have wanted to visit this restaurant for a while and we are so glad we did! The staff were lovely and the decor was great. We shared the pizza parma, a mixed salad, and garlic mushrooms and all was amazing! We will definitely be returning.”

“Charming cafe with warm welcoming staff and delicious food, especially the afternoon tea. - Fantastic food with some vegetarian and vegan options. - warm and welcoming staff. - The afternoon tea is amazing with delicious scones, pastries, sandwiches, and free tea refills. A lot of afternoon teas feel overpriced but this one felt more than worth the £20 it cost. - Nice looking interior decor.”
