“Stylish, clean accommodation. Appreciated the room upgrade. Good facilities, great bathroom. Parking on street. Staff friendly, didn't eat, but cocktails in bar were well made and good value. However, for two night stay we only received £10 Gregg's voucher for breakfast. £2.50, not even sufficient for coffee and a roll. Please will the owners of the Bistro realise they could upgrade to a realistic value. Or maybe send customers to local cafes and thereby support local businesses. Maybe this could be reflected when booking i.e. an optional upgrade when booking online? Feel sure it would make the whole experience nearer the 100% I'm sure you all want and deserve.”

“My daughters and I have Paula cut our hair. Paula is amazing she listens to what you want and does it one of my daughters is autistic and she literally went from shoulder length her to a pixie cut and she loves it . My other daughter has really curly hair and she cut it really well with a little undercut it always looks amazing Paula not only fab she’s quick and great at her job”

“Wonderful 70th birthday celebration. Treated royally by professional approachable attentive but not overbearing staff who provided expert explanation of all courses appropriately. The flavoursome food was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection everything was a highlight, high level cookery on offer, the Chefs at this establishment are top notch. My birthday experience was recognised upon arrival by our servers and enhanced sincerely with a superb miniature chocolate & passion fruit cake which I very much appreciated.”

“We visited yesterday and I had the poached eggs on sourdough bread. I have to say these poached eggs were the best I have ever tasted in my life. They were cooked to absolute perfection. The yolks were perfect, just the right consistency and totally delicious. I'm not a great fan of the white preferring the yolk, but these whites were delicious too. The addition of the sourdough bread as opposed to ordinary bread added to the taste also. I don't know how your chef made this simple meal so exquisite, but please pass on my compliments to him/her. My husband enjoyed his omelette too. Will be back!”

“I had a very unusual bed order, king size base in Newport East, accompanying mattress near Newport West. Beechwood Beds sorted it all out extremely efficiently. Courteous service, excellent product and they took old bed base and mattress away. Highly recommended”

“They recently upholstered an old armchair for me. I took the chair to the shop and chose fabric that was already there. I chose 4 fabrics and gave them artistic licence over how and where to use the different fabrics. The end result is amazing!! “The Cross Inn is a hidden gem in Cardiff! Stopped by recently and was really impressed. The pub has a great traditional feel with a modern touch – cosy, clean, and full of character. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere from the get-go. The drinks selection is solid too, with well-kept beers and a good variety behind the bar. Plenty of seating inside and out, and a lovely spot to catch up with friends or enjoy a quiet pint. Definitely one of the better pubs around – will be back soon!”

“I guess that’s why they call it the (Bombay) Blue(s?)! The menu here is a joy to peruse - written with style and panache, it’s clear the author has a bit of personality! We always have a smile on our faces reading the descriptions. In the current climate of clinical and corporate menus it’s refreshing to read one that brightens up the often tedious ordering process. After analysing the menu we came to a matching consensus - we weren’t in the mood for messing around with poppadoms. We were going straight for the jugular. I opted for a Chicken Tikka Garlic Chilli Masala. Rice & Chips. Peshwari Naan. Cobra. The curry was flavourful although I expected a tad more spice. Nothing to write home about, but a very nice, solid ruby. I’ve had Madras and Vindaloos here in the past and they were right on the money. A game changing feature to highlight at this curry house is the option to order a portion of rice AND chips half and half. This totally eliminates the awkwardness of having to share portions with the rest of the table. More curry houses should implement this innovative idea, so kudos to the pioneers at Bombay Blue(s?)! The peshwari naan was delicate and moreish. Hats off to whoever was manning the tandoor! The cobra was ice cold. My fellow comrades went for the Jalfrezi, Murgh-E-Bahar and Korai. All polished off with zero complaints. This establishment isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel - which is a good thing. It offers consistency, value for money and good service - which is why we frequent it on a semi regular basis! I’ll conclude with a question for the ages - is it Bombay Blue or Bombay Blues? Either way, we’ll return to discover the answer!”

“This is the premier sports bar in Cardiff. Nicely located opposite the castle and away from the chaos when you leave the train station talk up st Mary street.food and service is spot on,and every seat has a television to watch any sport you want.”

“New Yangs is a buffet place, where you order and eat as much as you can, as long as you don’t waste food. A lot of options, always nice food, quick and polite service. I love the lemon chicken and the crispy duck. Would be shocked to hear that somebody went there and didn’t enjoy their food. Have been many times and will go many more.”
