“We arrived thinking it was a sit down restaurant (duh!), but decided to do takeaway anyway. Fantastic food, generous portions, wonderful friendly service. They went to the trouble of making a special chickpea side dish for us (as vegetarians) which was amazing. We were provided with cutlery and napkins and went off with our food to a local part with fantastic views over Barry and the sea. What's not to love?”

“This place is great! Passed it at lunchtime on the way back from the Barry recycling centre. Friendly staff, good menu, good value, clean and most importantly, very tasty food! Even little things like having bamboo cups instead of plastic was a nice touch.”

“Went for breakfast this morning at 9.30am and I was so impressed! The food was delicious and good value for the quality they are offering. The lady who served us was so welcoming and helpful. We had children with us and she was really good with them and tailored our order. The mystery to me is why it was quiet. There was one other table occupied when we we there and as we left at 11am another table was being taken. The Gallery is clearly Barry’s best kept secret and really deserves to be busy because the food and service and surroundings are perfect. I will definitely be back and would recommend it to everyone.”

“Booked here for a birthday meal as my dad likes tapas, wasn't expecting much as small bowls of food are not my thing but... Wow! Great menu, good portions that are very well priced and everything was really tasty. Pleasant and attentive service too, already planning to return.”

“I came here years ago, and recently heard that it's still good, so, when I was unable to eat at a nearby restaurant, I decided to check Raj Kinara out again. I'm so glad that the other restaurant has stopped serving food! My wife and I knew that this place was special the moment we walked in. The fountain in the centre and the decor were really beautiful, and a glimpse at the great experience that was to come. The complementary poppadoms and chutneys to start were very welcome. The tandoori mixed platter was large and tasted so good. The rice sides tasted great as well, but unfortunately we accidentally ordered more than we could eat (post-gym hunger convinced our brains that our stomachs were bigger than they actually are) so we did not manage to eat as much as we wanted. Fortunately, the excellent staff came to the rescue! One of the waiters suggested how many bags and containers we would need to pack up our food, so we were able to take our plentiful leftovers home. I can't wait till tomorrow to finish off what we started this evening! We're definitely coming back. The price is well worth the quantity and taste of the food and the excellent service you receive. Edit: I just came back a second time and the poppadoms are definitely not complementary. The food was still good, and I will be coming back again.”

“We visited yesterday and I had the poached eggs on sourdough bread. I have to say these poached eggs were the best I have ever tasted in my life. They were cooked to absolute perfection. The yolks were perfect, just the right consistency and totally delicious. I'm not a great fan of the white preferring the yolk, but these whites were delicious too. The addition of the sourdough bread as opposed to ordinary bread added to the taste also. I don't know how your chef made this simple meal so exquisite, but please pass on my compliments to him/her. My husband enjoyed his omelette too. Will be back!”

“Great little find! We followed the signs on the main road and was hoping for a homely pub. This pub was exactly that! Friendly staff, Great food and exactly what we needed after a long day being tourists around barry island and cardiff! Would highly recommend.”

“Really nice beach side coffee shop. Went in for a drink to take for our travel home. I got a kinder latte and my friend got a chai latte (?) With oat milk. The gent that served us was amazing and even asked if the alternate milk choice was a preference or an intolerance. When told it was an intolerance he told us it would be done in a seperate jug and cleaned twice. Very good with allergens!”

The food and drinks are fresh and tasty, perfect for a relaxing break near the beach. It’s a great spot to sit, enjoy a coffee, and watch the world go by. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!”

“Super lush vibes! Why have I never visited before? I needed a place to go for an hour or so whilst sorting my car out and I came to Caesers! I have walked past a lot and has always been busy and I have never been in until today, and its lovely! Super welcoming team, nice and clean place and the coffee selections is great! (Lady with multicoloured hair gave me the lowdown of all the syrups and thank god as what I was going for was not what I ended up having as they had my fav Mint!) I had a coffee (which was huge) and a toasted teacake and both were stun! I will be visiting more often now as I so underestimated this place and I am sorry for that!”

Bubbly, bright and easy to talk with. The delivery arrived in about 25mins, the quote was “within the hour” so we were pleased. As for food, quality, quantity, everything absolutely great. “Stayed here for 3 night from the 28th of July 2025, was made welcome from a lovely guy called CHRIS who assigned us room 103. I've stayed in many 5* hotels in America, Asia and Europe, and although this was a budget hotel CHRIS was by far the best front of house staff we ever encountered. Throughout our stay CHRIS was so helpful for any information we required and couldn't help us enough. We came as guests and left as friends. Thanks CHRIS.”

“This is a great Chinese takeaway. For me, it is the best in the Vale of Glamorgan. I have tried many, but for me, you get great service and excellent size portions. Their chips are without doubt the best and again a great size portion. The food is always cooked fresh and we have never had reason to complain about anything there. The only slight issue for some people is that it is cash only, which to me is good business sense”

Their food is amazing , the best I ever had, truly. Yesterday takeout, which is extremely rare for us, was planned but it didn't happen. It made a rough depressing day much harder.
