“Stayed here for 3 night from the 28th of July 2025, was made welcome from a lovely guy called CHRIS who assigned us room 103. I've stayed in many 5* hotels in America, Asia and Europe, and although this was a budget hotel CHRIS was by far the best front of house staff we ever encountered. Throughout our stay CHRIS was so helpful for any information we required and couldn't help us enough. We came as guests and left as friends. Thanks CHRIS.”

“A review worth sharing, yesterday (Summer bank holiday) I must say the care and quality of food throughout the crowds myself (gluten free) was very pleased to see the offer of GF and to be able to eat, enjoy with family was very pleasing. Quality of GF I must say BEST FISH AND CHIPS I have had period! Shame it’s a 2 hour journey haha. Hearing locals in cue saying they’ve tried all in Barry and this was the ONE. “We were a table of 4 for Sunday lunch. We arrived early and were nicely invited to have a drink at the bar while we waited. When we were taken to the table by the host Chris, he introduced our sever as Mitch who was really personable and positive. It is unusual to have professional and enthusiastic service at restaurants nowadays, so Mitch was a refreshing change! The chefs serving the carvery were great as well, the food of exceptionally high quality with vegetables not being stewed or cooked to death, but actually fresh and inviting. If you like a carvery, this is superb and at less than £20 per head is great value.”
