We asked them to cater for over 30 people, sent them a pre order & asked a time for it all to be delivered. It was all correct & piping hot. We all enjoyed our curries & Pizza's. “From just looking at the menu the food seems really basic and overpriced and I do find it difficult to justify spending £9.95 on lunch (with the small portion option) but while the ingredients are simple the portion you get for small is filling and as they say the ingredients truly are fresh and delicious. My favourites were the daal and hot potatoes. The main protein I had, chicken breast, seemed bland at first glance but actually tasted very good. Unfortunately I forgot to take additional pictures below the top layer. I think I'd only get this for lunch on special occasions but I think I would get the better value medium for dinner more often, I can't imagine finishing a medium bowl in one sitting. 2: I finally found an excuse to go again and it was really good. I had the salmon this time, which cost £2.50 extra ! It was quite good, a touch fishy. I had the daal, chicken curry, beef rice thingy. It was all quite filling and good.”

“Book a table! We visited on the strength of other reviews and it was excellent. No pizzas on the menu (unless we missed them), which pushed the kids to try some of the pasta-dishes, which did not disappoint. Finished off with some proper gelato (can recommend the coffee flavour).”

“My partner and I rang up to book a table late on bank holiday Sunday and luckily they squeezed us in. First time visiting and it is a lovely setting a small restaurant, it doesn't have much branding on the outside but looks like they have a lot of regulars! Staff were lovely prices were very reasonable and the food was lush! Good portion sizes too! My only quarrel is that the steak cheese burger I had said it was American cheese but it was more of a sauce (see in my photo) than a cheese slice which wasn't to my taste but that is more of a preference and just something I thought I'd make people aware of. Lovely restaurant!”

“Have just returned from eating dinner at Eastern Spice. The food was absolutely beautiful, staff very attentive and I think it was v reasonably priced, £26 for poppadom/ pickle tray, pint of larger and a mixed Korai (chicken, lamb, king prawn, kebab) amd pilau rice. Can't recommend highly enough!”

“Perfect! My first time ordering from Billy buns and will definitely be ordering again. My partner and I are picky eaters and we thoroughly enjoyed everything! We had the chicken tower burger meal, the jerk chicken burger meal and the beefed up burger. WOW, AMAZING portion sizes and proper thick cut chips cooked perfectly. A bit too much sauce for my personal preference, but if you like sauce then you're in for a treat! Good filling meal. Delivery was also fast and friendly.”

“We have used Yam Sings for 20 plus years, always have a good takeaway from here. Never eaten in the restaurant. Food is always good quality, hot & tasty. We tried another Shepshed takeaway last night, as Yam’s is closed on a Monday. It very was a poor second, won’t be moving my custom away again, I’d rather wait an extra day.”

“Wanted to try something new so me and the mrs went to this lovely establishment. Greeted as soon as you walk in, friendly, very welcoming. The food was amazing. Will deffo go again and I recommend this to anyone! Even if you don’t like fish, they have a vegetarian option! Plenty of drinks to choose from. I had the strawberry milk tea with cherry balls and a grape juice with grape balls. My Mrs had chocolate milk tea with chocolate balls. Absolutely unreal!”

“One of the best places in Derby to grab delicious authentic Samoas! Highly recommended if you visit or live in Derby. The place is on Normanton Road. Been visiting for 15 years, no one can beat the taste! If driving, recommend parking a bit further away and walking to the store. E.g. Lidl (2.5 hours free parking) or the council car park just opposite of Lidl.”

“A small takeaway, tucked aside on the high street, no longer Chellaston's main road. The quality is A-mazing! The satisfaction is in every bite. We were set to go off to fetch cash, but they allowed us to do a direct bank transfer instead which worked well. We're not often in the Midlands but if we are, this is where we'll come.”
