“Took my little boys for pizza after school today, owner kindly suggested having the margarita pizza in a cute bear shape. He also kindly let me try a bit of the pesto sauce on one of the “ears”. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza. Both were fantastic, perfect amount of sauce and cheese! I’d pick fireaway pizza over the other two market leaders any day.”

“We were hoping for something a little different for a treat and after finding this place rang before ordering to check they could accommodate a very picky child. They were incredibly friendly and polite on the phone, the food was still hot when it arrived and was packaged really well (even the hot chocolate survived an uber driver getting lost). It was absolutely delicious, roasts were crispy,meat melted in your mouth, and the gravy and Yorkshires were perfect. Honestly couldn't fault a thing if we wanted to.”

“I went here at around 11:30am for a Breakfast Cob, I had 2 hash browns, bacon. All was cooked amazingly, hash browns were wonderful and soft and bacon was probably the best I've ever tasted (no joke). Please go here if you need food in Tutbury!”

“Friend took me here last night on a Xmas trip up to Swad for an impromptu curry night and have to say was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The red onion pickle tray pot is a delight and my garlic chilli chicken was delicious. Meat was cooked perfectly and very well spiced. Would deffo eat there regular if lived nearby.”

“Fantastic food and atmosphere for our wedding anniversary dinner. Nothing was too much trouble, my wife is gluten free and they were able to do her a gluten free base pizza. Definitely order the olives as well! Loved the fact that this was a family run restaurant and you can really see the effort put in especially into the food. “Have just returned from eating dinner at Eastern Spice. The food was absolutely beautiful, staff very attentive and I think it was v reasonably priced, £26 for poppadom/ pickle tray, pint of larger and a mixed Korai (chicken, lamb, king prawn, kebab) amd pilau rice. “We booked for a 1pm lunch as were told can be very busy, and they were! Very attentive and friendly staff. Top quality food, all homemade, with good serving portions. Good tea and coffee, with a generous size tea pot! The puddings are fantastic. I can recommend the cornflake tart with custart or ice cream. There is a little farm shop there and the pricing was very reasonable which resulted in us taking a few items home for another day. (A lot of farm shops I’ve visited can be very, very expensive). Carparking in a little car park at the front just off the road. It is some what limited, but road parking is possible. The facilities are modern, clean and kept in good condition. It’s a really nice place to eat looking out at the ponies in the manège. Ideal for anyone who loves ponies. Dogs are welcome at the seating outside, there are quit a few places to chose from. Some under cover. We’ll definitely return. Can recommend.”

“Stayed her one night, also had dinner and breakfast Accommodation was first rate starting with a warm greeting. The room was well appointed, clean and quiet. Would definitely stay here again. The dinner was top notch gastropub with great service and food. The bar well stocked with great wines and real ales. Breakfast was amazing and well beyond the normal fry. Would definitely eat here again.”

“Came here for the first time tonight after the refurb, Finn is an asset to the team, he went above and beyond. Great at delegating professionally to make things run as effectively as possible! Only thing I would say is that the chips could be made more crispier as they were on the dryer side. I do hope Finn gets the recognition he deserves for providing excellent customer service.”
