“Lovely place to stay. Clean, quiet, bus to the airport and major cities less than 10 min walk away. The owners are very kind.”
“A fabulous hotel with two golf courses. There is an imposing entrance as you approach Breadsall Priory. The main hotel is surrounded by the Priory golf course. It's a testing, undulating course in a mature parkland setting, which was in excellent condition. We couldn't play the Moorlands course due to heavy overnight rain, which closed both courses on our second day. The hotel was impressive too, although it's a bit of a maze finding your room. You can get to your room without leaving the building, but the rooms are an extension of the original building, so there are lots of twists & turns & up & down stairs. My only gripe with the room was the bathroom. After having a shower, there was a pool of water by the side of the bath as the showerscreen didn't seal against it. When I mentioned it to members of our group, they'd had the same problem. Everyone commented on how good the food was. The restaurant was big enough to give everyone space without drowning out people who wanted a quiet evening. Breakfast was a buffet style with coffee & tea machines. Staff were friendly & helpful. There is also a swimming pool & spa facilities.”

“Friendly pub .excellent service .not many off the old regular pubs about had my wedding reception here 37 years ago in the lambert lounge at the back room.”
“Great pub, very friendly landlord and landlady, what more do you need from a village pub.”
“I've stayed at this hotel twice now as it is a good location to stop enroute to seeing family who live in Somerset. Both stays have been comfortable and enjoyable and just what is needed to break up a long journey to the south west from East Yorkshire! Rooms: Comfortable and what you would expect from a Premier Inn hotel. My last stay was in August during hot weather and this did make the room quite warm when trying to sleep. A fan was provided in the room to try and help with this. Service: Friendly, helpful and professional on both visits here. The staff work hard to make everyone feel welcome. Location: Just off the A42 so ideal for anyone looking to break up a long journey. The proximity to a busy road didn't cause any noise issues when staying at the hotel.”
“Roast dinner was great quality. Staff were very friendly too. The inner decor needs renovating, looking very dated but don’t let that stop you from coming. Would come again.”
“Magnificent. Room size ideal and with Dog well catered for. Only small issue was with Dog, and its understandable we could not eat in a normal dining room with the Dog, the room we could eat in had a really low table lounge table which made it difficult to eat which is why we did not book breakfast as we could not leave the dog alone in room. This did not detract from anything but should be made clear that you cannot eat normally with a dog.”
“Great away put for the away fans! £5 a pint little steep but it's a good meeting point before the game! Have tvs with sports on and have a good size beer garden”
“First class stay at Holiday Inn Express, great professional service from all staff members. Room and breakfast were excellent as was the shower and room facilities (tea, coffee, towels and toiletries), maid service daily and carried out at a sensible time too. Although the only slightly negative comment would be if you have booked a room with a door to an adjoining room it isn't 100% soundproof, saying that I didn't feel the need to ask to be moved to another room because of it. All in all a very pleasant and trouble free three night stay.”
“Went for the first time for Sunday lunch. Highly recommend. Food was really good and well presented. Staff were courteous and attentive. Beautiful setting. Appreciated complimentary bubbles for special birthday celebration.”
“We popped in fir a Pizza Pony abd had a drink while we waited. Staff are friendly and there's a good atmosphere.”
“Great stay here! Very easy check in process and was pleasantly surprised with the double room and outdoor area. Hosts were very welcoming when I turned up with a bicycle, which they then allowed me to store safely in my room. Whole experience felt very homely, honestly can’t fault this place and will be choosing to stay here again in the future.”
“Had an amazing experience at the apartment, from booking to check out was so seamless. My kids and I really loved our stay there, it was home away from home. I would definitely recommend sublime stays any day, any time.”
“Stayed here last night with my son, as we're spending the weekend at Alton Towers. Cannot praise Mary enough, she will bend over backwards for you. Rooms clean, nice shower, beds comfy enough for one or two nights. Don't expect the Ritz, it's a 3 star hotel and the building is over 200 years old. We would (and probably will) stay here again if we visit the theme park again in future. Thankyou for a lovely stay ☺️”
“Well worth the price! The beds and rooms were clean and comfy, the breakfast was great, and the people running it were lovely. They even had a bar with some good draft options (just need to stock up on ice)! Would definitely stay again next time we go Alton Towers or stepping stones.”
“An excellent experience at Hilton House Hotel. My sons wedding was held here and we could not have wished for anything better. Attentive staff, exceptional food and great location made a memorable day. The staff did a fantastic job throughout the day, I cannot praise them enough. The chef delivered food that was outstanding. You probably guessed, I cannot fault this venue. Keep up the good work, I look forward to dining there in the future.”
“Always top notch for me I have stayed there many times now I love pretty local on a shared house but sometimes just want my own space. Rooms are always really clean and staff are friendly and welcoming. You really can't go wrong for the price!”
“Stayed 3 nights. Good value. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Really good food. Definitely recommend”
“Managed to get a cheap room fairly last minute there, the front desk staff were friendly, the room was clean and it was a good sleep there, room was nice and warm without being too hot. The only annoyance is that there's no kettles in rooms, so to make teas or anything that needs hot water you have to return to the front desk. Otherwise, it's great and I was happy with my stay.”
“Call in midweek in the afternoon. Great jukebox for a singalong with others locals. The Pedigree is always excellent!”
“Unbelievably happy with this hotel. Rooms are comfortable, clean and secure. Prices are great and all sectors of staff are excellent. The desk staff are warm, welcoming and always happy to accommodate any requests you may have. HK the manager is extremely hard-working and dedicated to customer satisfaction. All in a very easy going place with reasonable prices and a comfortable atmosphere. Close to all local amenities and easy to access public transport with the train station being directly across the road. Have personally stayed here for multiple weeks and will definitely be staying here a lot more when needed. Thanks for a great experience guys!”
“The park is appealing! The cleaner at the moment at the park is very attentive, the best cleaner they’ve had yet! The facilities are always fresh and clean, and the lady does it all off her own back because she likes to keep a clean environment!”
“Cheap as chips, all you need for a night's stay. Close to lots of food places and major road routes. Room was perfectly fine, nothing special but for the price you can't expect any more. If your looking for a cheap comfortable night's stay. This hotel is perfect.”
“Sally was incredibly helpful and friendly, room was immaculately clean, and just so cosy and homely, would definitely recommend and would almost certainly love to stay again.”
“Amazing service beautiful location”
“Super friendly and helpful hosts, great beds and gorgeous linen (guaranteed good nights sleep), delicious home cooked food and bags of personality. This place is a winner. Highly recommended”
“Stayed at the Old Croft Stables for 1 night as we were attending a nearby wedding. The renovated stables building was a joy to stay in, so much character and plenty of space for 4 people. The surrounding garden area is amazing and are well kept. The main house next to the old stables is part Georgian and Victorian and is a well impressive property. The host Angela was very helpful and had great knowledge of the surrounding area and places we could visit. The breakfast provided by Angela was excellent, we would definitely return again and highly recommend the property to our friends and family. T”
“Travel Menorca are simply the best Company to book a villa holiday in Menorca. They hand pick the villas they rent. The service they provide is superb with back up should you have any problems. Thoroughly recommended.”
