“I cannot recommend Browns Restaurant enough! Absolutely fantastic service- the host was amazing- so attentive. The food was top quality, freshly cooked and excellent value for money. This was a celebration for my Husband’s birthday and Browns went above and beyond to make it special. We are definitely returning very soon!”
“Lovely atmosphere for get together. Food was really nice huge portions and well worth the price. Service was pretty good and very friendly. Definitely be returning.”
“We use Love Curry at least twice in a month & have done for the past 5 years. But this weekend they were exceptional!! We asked them to cater for over 30 people, sent them a pre order & asked a time for it all to be delivered. It was all correct & piping hot. We all enjoyed our curries & Pizza's. Keep up the good work Love Curry & thank you for helping our engagement party go brilliantly well.”
“Chopstix Derby (St. Peters street)– A Great Spot for Tasty & Affordable Food If you’re looking for delicious and budget-friendly food in Derby, Chopstix is definitely worth to visit. Everything about this place is great – from the food to the service! The restaurant has a dine-in area, so you can enjoy your meal comfortably. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. As for the food, there are plenty of tasty options to choose from. My absolute favorite is the Fire Cracker Chicken – it’s spicy and full of flavor.. If you prefer something sweet, the Caramel Chicken and sweet and sour chicken are a great choice. The Salt and Pepper Chicken has the perfect balance of seasoning, and the Chinese Chicken Curry is another must-try, with its rich and flavorful sauce. Moreover, blue light card holders can get 20% off and for the students can get 10% discount. Overall, Chopstix Derby is a fantastic place for a quick, tasty, and affordable meal. Highly recommended...”
“Wow! Caught a last minute booking for the ten course - yes TEN - tasting menu. Fab-u-lous! Something so wrong yet right about starting with the unmistakable taste of a Big Mac from the first course but we then cantered through so many creative and sumptuous dishes, each painstakingly presented and introduced by her enthusiastic and friendly team. Start with a cocktail and then enjoy taking your time with the wide choice of wines to suit all tastes (and budgets). We went with a Montrachet as it was a special occasion and the food deserved a wine to match. But please don’t make a reservation - it was hard enough to get one this time!”

“As outsiders to Derby we came here after reading such great reviews online. This place did not disappoint! The food was delicious, the staff helpful and accommodating and there were lots of veggie options. My jalfrezi was nice and spicy, just a shame i couldn’t finish it or take it back to our hotel. Thanks!”
“Great little place and good range of tasty food, made one mistake ordering the white bait as not my thing but was actually very nice. Lots of variety of food and it comes out fresh out the oven or pan which is nice. Very cosy and busy so best to reserve a table”
“Visited for the first time this week. It is clearly a favourite with many as diners were very familiar with the owners. The food was amazing. We each had the Thalia and it was delicious and great to try a range of dishes. We will definitely be back.”
“Friend took me here last night on a Xmas trip up to Swad for an impromptu curry night and have to say was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The red onion pickle tray pot is a delight and my garlic chilli chicken was delicious. Meat was cooked perfectly and very well spiced. Would deffo eat there regular if lived nearby.”
“The Bridge Inn is an awesome place, located near the canals, it has an amazing view. The food is Italian. Today we had the Bridge Inn special which is fantastic. Really recommend this place.”
“Food was amazing. Service was fantastic. Was very busy. Only thing I could fault is the lighting. It's not bright enough. Would definitely go again.”
“Great looking menu pity we were the only gusts there at the time. Would loved to have had a chat with the wonderful Polish people. We intend to visit Poland on our next adventure and would have liked to have had some tips and pointers on places to visit and food to try. We'll go again for definite and would recommend it to anyone. Cheers!”
“Have just returned from eating dinner at Eastern Spice. The food was absolutely beautiful, staff very attentive and I think it was v reasonably priced, £26 for poppadom/ pickle tray, pint of larger and a mixed Korai (chicken, lamb, king prawn, kebab) amd pilau rice. Can't recommend highly enough!”
“Can’t say enough good things about this place, which is under new management. Extremely welcoming hosts, serving delicious and authentic Indian cuisine that is second to none. Delicate flavours, spiced just right while not being oily at all. Have been twice already just this week and will definitely be going back for more. Give it a try and you’ll be going back for more!”
“This is our favourite and go to for a breakfast. The food is always consistently good. The staff are friendly and approachable. Great if you have children as well. It's usually quite busy because it's popular - BECAUSE ITS GOOD. Would recommend to others. Good prices as well. ❤️”
“The food in Ebi is superb. This is one of the best Japanese restaurant so far I tried in UK. Assorted Sashimi is the most I like, make me feel like dining in Japan. Chef and staffs are Japanese too.”
“We have used Yam Sings for 20 plus years, always have a good takeaway from here. Never eaten in the restaurant. Food is always good quality, hot & tasty. We tried another Shepshed takeaway last night, as Yam’s is closed on a Monday. It very was a poor second, won’t be moving my custom away again, I’d rather wait an extra day.”
“Absolutely excellent pub. Service really was first rate, Michelin star-like. Goats cheese starter was very fresh. Can’t go wrong with a pint of Marstons Pedigree. Two EV chargers in the car park.”
“Been there 3 times now and can say everytime I have gone the food has been amazing! I have been with company too. We've tried the pizza, burgers, hot honey chicken, beef stroganoff and all of it has tasted so good. The chef's are so talented. For the cost and for what it is, it's just presented perfectly to me. Keep going!”
“Great little Indian local to Donnington park. Not licensed but happy to bring your own or even bring in from pub next door. Friendly staff and good food.”
“Second time with family we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, great taste, cool staff 10ish of 10 thanks”
“pleased to see this pub open its doors again — and it’s better than ever! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a great mix of traditional charm and fresh energy. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely excellent — beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and generous portions that offer real value for money. You can tell there’s real care and pride going into the menu. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual drink or a full meal, this place delivers on every level. Great food, great atmosphere, and fantastic value — so good to have this gem back in the community! Highly recommended.”
“This is our favourite indian restaurant in Loughborough. The chicken is so soft unlike other places where it can be a bit tough. Never had a bad meal here and always come back. We enjoy eating in as the inside is really modern and the staff are great.”
“Wow! Absolutely wonderful meal, great little find in Burton, licensed as well. Wife had the Bengal Chicken with mushroom rice. I went vegetarian with the Channa Palak (Chick pea and spinach), with 2 chappattis. Both were mouthwatering and large portions. Wine was perfectly chilled to boot. Will be coming again and added advantage of having parking at the rear of the restaurant. Behind the Magnet showroom. Seemab is a journeyman waiter, attentive, without disrupting the flow of eating and makes good suggestions for alternatives. Will definitely be back!”
“Food was excellent and good value, the spare ribs were very meaty, we will visit again for sure.”
“Excellent pub, fantastic range of real ales.”
“First time ordering here and won't be the last. So many chineses fail on chicken balls, but these where delicious! Noodles where also nice and tasty.”
“Visited for Sunday lunch. It was excellent. We had the gammon and the pie. Food was all cooked perfectly. A great selection of vegetables. Roast and mashed potatoes. All food was piping hot. Staff were all very good, helpful and attentive. First visit for food - been before and sat outside for a drink. Will definitely return as this Sunday lunch was amazing.”
“Great bar and restaurant, really enjoyed our meal in beautiful olde world surroundings. Friendly staff too!”
