“Just had two sofas and a chair delivered by Gem Upholstery and I was delighted at the superb workmanship. Joe has managed to change a twenty year old, black suite into sofas that are going to give me a life full of joy for many more years to come. I chose magenta and green and I have no idea how to submit a picture so you can see how beautiful they look. Joe is a lovely man, he arrived when he said he would and delivery was about five weeks. Definitely recommend.”

“Cornicing looks great, we got a new design, some repaired and some matched to existing cornicing. We had a tight window for getting cornicing in and the team managed to work with our builders to make it work, they were very helpful when I couldn’t decide what we wanted and easy to contact. Travel to Dunblane was no problem. Highly recommend”

“I am genuinely in love with Godshot. After my first visit, it quickly entered my coffee shop rotation (along with Amulet, Zennor, and Kahawa Mzuri) and I have been back a number of times. The place is immaculate and serves a ever-rotating selection of speciality coffee and drinks. I am constantly impressed by the wide range of espressos from various roasters, it feels quite cliche to say, but there really is a flavour profile that would suit everyone. The staff are absolutely fantastic and are, of course, polite and friendly, but really show they understand great service in how helpful they are, and actually do try and connect with customers on a human level rather than being nice for the sake of it. They are efficent when the place is busy, but still make time for each customer, and allow themselves to connect more when its a bit quieter, which really shows they are comfertable in what they do. Godshot is much more than just coffee however, as they also offer homeware, beauty and fragerence products, and macrons. It totally fits the space and the ethos of the shop, and is just refreshing from the point of view of giving you something to browse while you wait for your coffee rather than staring aimlessly at your phone, even if it means you need to use all of your will power to stop you from buying the Malin + Goetz cannabis parfume that you constantly convince yourself that you need. This review is already far too long and I have just scratched the surface of why Godshot is one of my favorite spots in the southside. If you havent been, go. Take the plunge. You will find a new favorite spot if you do.”

“Had our new kitchen / utility installed by Wrighton in October. Got to say from the initial discussions on layout and content Greg and the team have excelled in every aspect of the project. This was a fair sized kitchen and I admit to being unsure as to whether, rip out, plastering, electrical, joiner work and installation could be done in 5 working days. Amazingly by Friday pm we had a fully functioning kitchen and all dunnage removed from the site. I would thoroughly recommend Greg and Wrighton to anyone thinking about a kitchen project, attention to detail, great help and support, delivered as promised in military style efficiency,”

“As soon as we arrived in store we were greated with a smile. We were offered to try 4 different mattresses that suited or needs. We found the tempur mattress was the one for us. The assistant Sheryl from the Uddingston store explained all the advantages of this mattress whilst drinking our coffee. The pillows she gave us were brilliant to try on each mattress. She informed us after we chose the tempur mattress that the pillows came free which was great as they are £149 each, but they are the most comfiest pillow I have ever used. Cannot wait for my mattress to arrive and we have upto 100 days to try it to see if we like it and if not we could return it and choose another mattress. Overall a great experience in the store.”

Yes, they are a bit more expensive than some but that reflects in the quality service. Everything from getting the quote to having the work carried out took less than a week. The chap that arrived to do the work, who's name I have forgotten was in and out in no time having done one of the neatest bits of plumbing I've ever seen. Derek, who dealt with my enquiry and emails was incredibly helpful and even allowed me to pay for the job on the day with when I had mentioned that paying up front made me feel a bit uneasy, however not a concern I'd have again in the future. “Lovely garden centre with a gigantic range of home and gardenwares, and the flowers are always beautifully arranged and affordable. The cafe isn't anything to rave about, but the shop itself has absolutely everything a gardener could dream of, from tools to flowers, bulbs, seeds, decorative wares and furniture. The grounds surrounding the garden centre are equally as lovely and well worth walking round in good weather, plus or minus a fluffy friend (dogs are very welcomed in both!)”
