I highly value transparency both in terms of work quality and the estimate, and that's where I rate them high. Before any work was carried out, I was provided with a detailed estimate, the parts, and their associated cost. I think this helps customers to make an informed decision. Generally, I am cautious about the mechanics carrying out the work, for the sole reason that I don't want an untrained and inexperienced mechanic to mess up my expensive and well-look-after car. I have no doubt and confident to say that their mechanics are highly trained and their expertise speaks through the quality of their work. I felt confident that my vehicle was in capable hands. My concerns were addressed before the car was handed back and tested. Overpricing in the auto garages is a big problem, but I have never felt that I have been overcharged or charged for the work that never took place. This shows their honesty and integrity. Yes, they are a bit more expensive than some but that reflects in the quality service. Everything from getting the quote to having the work carried out took less than a week. The chap that arrived to do the work, who's name I have forgotten was in and out in no time having done one of the neatest bits of plumbing I've ever seen. Derek, who dealt with my enquiry and emails was incredibly helpful and even allowed me to pay for the job on the day with when I had mentioned that paying up front made me feel a bit uneasy, however not a concern I'd have again in the future. Recently I had went to a “tyre specialist” who snapped a bolt in my tyre without informing me which left me in a dangerous situation. The staff at Clyde auto parts spotted this and managed to fix all the problems it had caused. Having something like this makes you realise how important a good trustworthy garage really matters.
