“We love love love Old George at Heritage Mills! Ever since they opened we have been coming here on little brunch dates or with our little man and every time is a great experience. When we have friends or family visiting from out of town we bring them here knowing it’s great every time. The team are welcoming and friendly, the menu is spot on every time and the coffee (well this is the biggest reason for the shower of love - they know what they are doing)! We also love the tech approach with ordering food and drinks and rewards program for repeat customers is just a great bonus. Special shout out to the Kidlet Pancakes (with a portion of marshmallows) - love from your number one 6 year old fan!”

“We ordered a large takeaway (20 people) for collection when we were staying nearby. The staff were all lovely to deal with beforehand and on the day itself, and the food was delicious - would definitely recommend. Thank you!”

“Only had cake, coffee and toasted currant tea cake, I can't comment on their other food. However what we had was lovely and the coffee is great, always our first choice for coffee in the area. The staff are lovely and service great, what more can you want.”

“Great food and friendly service. Was a little chilly when I went so it would have been good if the heating was up a little bit. The Beef Stroganoff was excellent and the fish and chips are decent. The chips are cut thick with a crispy exterior. A good quality pub… just get the heating up when it’s cold out. ;)”

“Dog friendly, Child friendly till 8pm, Lots of choice in beers, wine, spirits, bottles and soft drinks, 2 darts board and a pool table (free pool after 6pm on Wednesday) Jukebox (free alday on a Wednesday) 5 TVs with Sky sports on. Friendly staff, Lovely beer garden.”

“Still the best pub in the village, great outdoor space, loads of room inside, a massive selection of drinks draft, bottles and spirits. Bar staff are great and on point, definitely suggest this place to go have a drink, relax or have a laugh.”

“Can't rate food as we didn't eat here. Atmosphere was vibrant and locals are lovely. Staff are also a credit to this lovely pub. Very clean and modern with a cosy oldy world feel.”

“It's moved next to or part of the shepherds arms in cowersley, you can get drinks from the pub and walk through. Been twice in, first as a couple, then a group of 8. Everyone enjoyed a good meal and not much of wait. Book ahead if there's lots of you or drink in the pub, which is also very pleasant. Prices good too..”

“Came for food, all I can say is wow, had pie chips and veg, it was beautiful, the pie was home made and full of meat and potato, and to the brim with tasty gravy, beautiful home made chips and fresh veg, not frozen FRESH, the food was hot, and it even came with a jug of thick gravy. 10 out of 10, would defo come again There were few regulars in who were extremely friendly, the lady behind the bar was extremely polite, and great at her job. Keep up the great work”

“First time visit for a colleagues retirement do. Plenty of parking, really nice interior and staff super friendly. Very busy on a Thursday evening which is always a good sign, had entertainment later on as well.”

“Just eaten here tonight as it was recommend by our Air B&B. Seen a few reviews on here stating the service was poor. I've no idea what went wrong, but the service me and my wife had was great. Polite, professional and service with a smile. The food was very nice, especially the pork belly bites appetiser. We went on a day where the Burger was buy 1 get 1 free, which we thought was great value at £18. The burger was nicely made, and we both liked the fact it wasn't "stacked" like most burgers usually are. We could actually fit it in our mouths. We would definitely go back here. Can be seen as quite pricey for some dishes but after the experience we had, I'd pay that again.”

“We have been thoroughly enjoying our recent visits to this deli/cafe, primarily for lunch and coffee. The premises are are clean, well served with sanitizing points. The food is excellent and freshly prepared. We would recommend these premises to anyone. It was a pleasure for us to go there today at lunch time.”
