“I attended both the Daisy birthing classes and the active birthing workshop with Kayleigh Burton and found them both excellent. The Daisy birthing classes helped me to prepare mentally and physically for the birth of my baby, through learning breathing techniques to use in labour, and movements to help get my baby into the optimal position. I also learnt about how my body works, which helped me to understand how to get the best from it during my labour. The classes made me think about what choices were available to me, including where to give birth and what type of pain relief to use. The active birthing workshop reinforced what I had learned, and gave the opportunity for my husband and birth partner to gain the same understanding in order to best support me on the day. It also helped him to prepare mentally for what to expect, and gave us both confidence in the decisions I had made. I think if I hadn’t attended these classes the birth experience would have seemed a lot more confusing and scary. Kayleigh made the antenatal education both memorable and enjoyable and I can’t recommend her highly enough.”

“We have been absolutely thrilled with choosing this nursery for our daughter. The team always go above and beyond and have helped our daughter to settle into nursery so quickly. E started nursery at 23 months and they quickly got to know her and her interests. They enhance provision areas based on the children’s interests and move the children’s learning forward by their skilful addition of selected resources to complement these interests and work on their next steps. E is very happy to come to nursery and always has so much to say when she comes home. She clearly enjoys coming and her speech is developing so much since starting in September. At pick up and drop off, the team are great at handing over any information, communication between the setting and families has been fantastic. They have shared pictures of E with us and it has been lovely to see her having so much fun whilst learning in Nursery. There is also a closed Facebook group for current parents that you can join and these posts are informative and support parents with their child’s development whilst also sharing photos and videos of the children at work! It is clear that a lot of thought goes into these and as parents, we find this a very valuable resource. We are so thrilled that we became part of the Kirkgate family!”

“I kinda love it yeah like proper love it so 5 stars”
“Staff friendly and always happy to see you”
“Can't fault this place for kids, especially on a rainy day. £6.50 entry free for 3 years old plus, with unlimited time allowed here, so that's a bargain. The menu choices are surprisingly decent, and portion sizes are big. They have a kids menu too, and not everything on the adults and kids menu is unhealthy food. Prices for food are really reasonable, which is nice to see in these times. Sometimes, older kids play in the toddler area, which is annoying, and i would have preferred it if the staff were a bit more vigilant with regards to this. That said, the staff, mostly young people, were all very friendly and polite. I liked being allocated a table on arrival, that's a good system here, particularly when it's so busy.”
“An excellent place to start a child's learning journey. A solid foundation.”
“Friendly, small school, open to all. Good staff. Very happy.”
“Great school. Friendly teachers. Very family friendly feel where all the children know everyone.”
