Genuinely incredible food, great value and a lovely generous man serving it. It’s a shame we aren’t local as I would love this to be our local spot.”

“We don't find ourselves in Leeds often but when we do we always visit Doner Summer. The food is excellent - the portions, the FLAVOURS so so good. I had the vegan spice bag and the flavour was great. The texture of the fried chicken was wonderful, and I really appreciated the softer tofu chunks for a variety of textures in the plate. My partner got a kebab and he devoured it. Got some tater tots to share and they were also the perfect crunchy but soft on the inside texture. Their own sodas are also incredibly tasty - i have a soft spot for the elderflower and apple one! The staff are always prompt and attentive, and I appreciate being asked if I'd like a to go box for left overs (we only had some tater tots left and were travelling so passed, but still a nice gesture to help combat waste as well). The price is also very fair for the quality and portions. Unsure when we will next be Leeds-way but if we are we look forward to being back again!”

“I have been coming to the salon for 3yrs now started off just being a basic nail paint however one day Scarlett suggested something different for me and what can I say I have never looked back if you want a nail artist who can do a whole range then check her out the atmosphere in the salon is chilled relax and I myself treat it like a therapy session. While enjoying my next design and there is not on thing Scarlett can't do and she is so reasonably priced.”

“Looking for somewhere to eat at the last minute, we stumbled onto the place via Google Maps. Took a chance and walked through the supermarket up to the restaurant. The setting is clean and well maintained with very good spacing of tables. Plenty of seating too. From the minute we arrived we were greeted with a smile and they managed to fit us in without a booking (definitely book, this place is worth its popularity). From that point on, the service was attentive but never pushy. Always with a smile and couldn’t do enough, explained everything and gave excellent recommendations. The food was nothing short of an amazing experience. Choosing every item and able to eat at a slower pace and cook it as you go means more time to spend with those you’re dining with. Or you can eat food ready to go and make it a quick visit. Well presented with a great selection of meat, tofu, seafood and vegetables. 10/10.”

“I was so close to giving up on finding good pizza in Wakefield. When the top-rated options are Pizza Joy, a takeaway using frozen bases, and Papa John’s, a mainstream chain, it’s hard not to lose hope. I had. But I gave it one last try—enter Basebox. This is the best pizza in Wakefield, and honestly one of the best I’ve had anywhere in the UK. I’m not sure what “style” it is, but I’ve only found something similar once before, all the way up in Durham. If the quality stays consistent, this will be my go-to pizza spot from now on. My only minor criticism is that the dip pots are a little too small—one barely covers a slice—but at 75p a pot, I can let that slide. Congratulations, Basebox, on beating the odds.”

“From the warm greeting at the front gate and the sight of that big red bow on the entry arch, I knew I was in for a special treat at Harewood House for their Christmas display. I started with a walk around the grounds and loved the spectacular view of the house from the field near the bottom cafe. I enjoyed a walk around the lake and was enthralled by the walled garden and its sheer size, even if the gardens were mostly fallow. The Stupa is something to see and behold, as is the story behind the erection of it. Finally, it was time to enter the house and to see the Christmas decorations and room displays in all their unadulterated glory! No detail was left untold and the sights and sounds were truly wonderful. Sumptuous is one word that comes to mind when trying to describe the depth and beauty of each and every room. But just as wonderful as the displays was the warmth and enthusiasm of the volunteers who were there. They helped explain many of the details and were experts at taking photos for me! Be sure to step out on the lovely terrace garden beside the cafe in the house for beautiful views of the grounds. I had the most wonderful time at Harewood House and would strongly recommend visiting it not only at Christmas, but any time of the year.”

“Nottingham branch - I am a huge fan of Wawin's vegan take on british chinese food! The menu is great, lots of choice and always delicious. Although on the more expensive side the portions always go really far and we always have enough for lunch the next day. We ordered the salt and pepper chicken, garlic tofu, fried rice, prawn noodles and satay chicken. All amazing, and can't wait for our next order! Please never ever leave Nottingham! We love you!”
