“Ideal location for our needs visiting family in York. Decent sized room with very comfortable beds. The shower room smelled fusty (as it did on a previous visit. I think it's a drain issue). Good buffet breakfast with a good choice of hot food. Free parking.”

“A new store opened and brought local co. op. Goods near to where I live. There own brands are good quality and fair priced always good value for money. Big store fresh produce and both manned check outs and digital check outs giving you the choice there. Near the city centre but local enough to buy a few items saving longer journeys. A handy friendly and helpful store. Visit it you'll like it.”

Quite heavy solid build and good instructions (took two to lift it into place once the back was on . Draw runners were metal not cheap plastic ones from other suppliers. “I’m a local driving instructor so pop into the Co-op shop on Hull Road several times a week. Usually to shop, sometimes to pick up students there and sometimes to use the loo. The recent improvements to the car park, white bay markings and pedestrian crossings are excellent making it a safe place to shop. The shop itself is always clean and tidy, the staff are always friendly and helpful and a good selection of food and other items such as flowers, take away coffees, lottery tickets etc are easy to find and purchase. All at a reasonable price. I have a Co-op Member card, which cost me £1 some years ago and regularly receive additional discounts through the membership. Today I bought some items, milk, bread and some sweets and used the loo. The usual 100% satisfaction was experienced and I must say the loo was spotless. Well stocked with paper towels, soap etc and I have no hesitation in awarding five stars!”

That left me with several large serviceable but now unwanted pieces of furniture. The chef Luke came out to explain a number of the dishes personally and was incredibly helpful. We have tried to book for the next Vegan week but they haven’t released the dates yet! I am fortunate enough to have eaten all over the world in some incredible restaurants, this beats them all and it is in our home town!”
