“Great facilities, cheap refreshments, and a decent show with cheap tickets to spend some time between drinks :-p Very broad range of shows, comfortable seating, and well tiered so you have a good view from further back. Seats to the left and right of the staging area may have a restricted view depending on the use of the stage area by the show you're there to see.”

“I visit here very regularly due to myself being a member of ACE Drama Group as we perform various shows which we have been doing now for 6 years and I can definitely say that the staff here all go out of their way to help with any various requirements that you may have and the owner Martin is amazing as he allows us to use this amazing place for our shows so many thanks all at Valley Community Theatre as you are all fantastic and great”

“We had our sons Christening event here and it was a perfect venue for our large group. Even though they don't do catering they allow you to bring in your own food and have an bar they can open should you wish for your guests. Would highly recommend this place.”

“Nice theatre. Seating is comfortable and it's a nice size, not massive but big enough for two tiers. I've seen a few performances here and I have no complaints. Bars for drinks and snacks. And they have a restaurant attached but I've not tried it myself.”

“First time visiting this venue for a live event. Loved the acoustics, the layout of the venue, and the good sized bar. They take cash and card payments and the toilets are clean and functional (unlike some places I've been to). We would happily return for future gigs, even though we were visiting from Yorkshire.”

“Saw Tim Minchin at this wonderful place. There was a bar like a shipwreck. Blackpool is a bit grim, this place still has magic. I'd go there just to spend time there. The opera house stage and Theatre was special. A wonderful place. Seats raked so you could see over those in front of you. If you get the chance go here. It's top”

“Fantastic place with loads of eating places and accommodation at different levels,we stayed at the Motel and the room and services were brilliant.The area surrounding is excellent with great walks and very flat making getting about for older people like us lovely. The speed limit is very low on site for traffic meaning it feels very safe.”

“A group of 8 of us went and had a fantastic evening, The food was exceptional very tasty and of good sized portions. Only thing that let it down was we wasn't able to all sit at one table, we were next to each other but slightly apart . “Been to a few shows, most recent was quite far back. Was expecting poor view, but nope - absolutely brilliant!!!!! Staff were helpful on the phone prior to booking, very respectful re my questions re. partner needing minimal step access to the lift etc Lovely theatre, with many big names appearing. Long may it continue!!!”

“If you're after a fun event space that oozes character, then try Alexander's Live. We're local to Chester so we were already familiar with the venue from our visits to their weekly Comedy Club (they're excellent too!) and decided that we wanted to host our wedding there. Our conversations were with Jamie, the venue's owner, who was faultless in his accommodation of our needs and wants for the big day. I was so pleased to hear that I could hang my homemade bunting up! We found him to be openminded and responsive— just what you want when you're organising any event! Jamie coordinated well with our other vendors too, ensuring they had all the information they needed to get set up for the day. The same can be said for all the staff at Alexander's Live. They gave impeccable service on the day - in fact, we can't praise them enough, they were such a dream: attentive, accommodating and pleasant. “My time with Abbey has been so good I’ve decided to extend another year. The house is really well maintained and they have been very responsive when any faults did crop up. Helen, Kaci and Sonia were all fab to deal with in the office. Overall couldn’t recommend enough, and I have made sure my cousin coming to Chester will use them too!”

“We took the family to see the Christmas panto Dick Whittington ages range from 6 to 69. We all had a fantastic time. It was absolutely brilliant. The children loved it, we all did. !! The performers are all excellent but a special mention has to go to King rat & Idle Jack . They are brilliant. We've been to their pantos for the last few years & we'll definitely be there next year.”

“What a great venue, however if you have any mobility issues you will need to be at the front, so you don't have to climb any steps. Lift is quite spacious, toilets are clean, although there aren't many. The drinks are expensive in my opinion...a 250ml of pure orange was £3, as was a diet coke. Water is free though. Parking after 6pm is free on Le mans crescent, quite a few disabled parking spaces outside the main doors. Security will check your bags.”

“Lovely place to see a pantomime. Large foyer. Clean throughout. Looks new. Cafe on ground floor. Auditorium was spacious. Seats reasonably comfortable but like most theatres was a little tight on leg room for tall people. Wheelchairs allowed at front of stage. Toilets excellent.”

“Attended a Daniel Kitson gig today. Practicals: easy to get to and ample free parking. 5 mins walk from train station it seems (met Daniel on his way from the station !) So why 5 stars? The staff. Simply lovely people who not only were personable but wanted to chat and were so proud of their venue and town. Went to the bar to buy water and even the barman said "you know there is a water fountain over there?" I decided to buy just to support them. Will keep a look out for events here simply cos of the lovely staff.”

“I visit B&M Stores from time to time in various Locations. For example Skelmersdale, and Leigh and Westhoughton, all in Lancashire County. They are excellent retailers, and I come away feeling satisfied I have got some well priced goods and have seen a well stocked range of household needs.”

“Never been before - loved it. It is also accessible which was great for me. I'm not sure if there's a ramp somewhere but I could manage a few steps to get in and then I had access to a lift. Staff helpful and lovely.”

“A small range of large shops to shop in. The cinema and bowling alley are good and a few large chain restaurants too. The car parks are free and right outside the shops and restaurants. It can get very busy in the holidays. Would recommend. It’s also walkable from Cheshire Oaks if you don’t mind a ten minute stroll.”
