“Popped in this morning after a long, hot bus ride and fancied a cuppa. Decided on a sausage sandwich and a coffee. Both arrived quickly and the sandwich was amazing. A lovely, small cafe with great, friendly staff. A very pleasant find, will definitely use here again.”
“Great atmosphere, staff and beverages. The hot chocolate we had previously was great. The mango smoothie we had this time around was fresh, sweet and lovely.”
“We drove in from across the border for this coffee shop and it was very worth it. Such a cool interior and a great sunny space to sit outdoors. An ideal cafe for reading a book. Coffee was tasty, but the flat white had too much milk (more like a latte). Friendly staff.”
“Great café! Everything was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were friendly. A nice place to enjoy a relaxing breakfast or lunch.”
“Just exceptional as always. Never fails to deliver on all fronts. Good and drink selection and quality and just wonderful staff. We now live an hour away but will continue to frequent this wonderful venue”
“Called in to order a takeaway. Fantastic service and food was generous and authentic.”
“Please please please come to this place. Absolutely everything I ate was bliss. The waitress was friendly and sweet, the chef was friendly and sweet, and beyond bloody talented. I am on cloud nine eating here, best experience in Chester for my entire life. FYI: it's literally off the beaten path, you have to go down the cobblestones for Rufus court”
“Had a lovely breakfast this morning. The service was so friendly and welcoming. The coffee was exceptional. We will definitely be back!”
“The food at Guroma is excellent. I particularly love the tandoori chicken and the sauce it comes with. I haven’t had anything like it and crave it when I’m not in town. I told my friends I want to marry the chicken wings! The staff are lovely too and the food is prepared with love and care. Definitely recommend!”

“Been going to the zoo for years and wished I knew this little gem of a cafe was here before now. Found by chance. Fantastic friendly service, brilliant tasty food with a big selection of choice, quantity and quality. Would definitely return again”
“Best breakfast in the port and opens at 6am so I can get a breakfast on my way home from doing a night shift”
“Brilliant little place, lovely beers and people”
“A lovely store where a warm welcome for dogs and humans alike is guaranteed! My labrador Busby and I both love popping in regularly to stock up on his treats and we always enjoy catching up with Josh, Casey and the rest of the knowledgeable team, for whom nothing is too much trouble.”
“Had Sunday lunch. We had the roast beef. Came with 4 veg, + roast and mash potatoes. Food was hot when arrived ***** stars. Staff friendly and efficient. Well done, will return”
“This is my top restaurant in Liverpool — a Greek place with really nice staff and reasonable prices. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been there! It’s my go-to spot whenever I want to celebrate something. I highly recommend this restaurant if you haven’t tried it yet. The meat sharing platter is one of my favourites too!”
“Best coffee in Chester! Delicious batch brew and pastry on this visit. Stylish coffee shop with a great atmosphere and all the staff were friendly. Lovely to be able to sit outside and watch the world go by too.”
“One of the more consistent coffee shops in Chester. The drinks are all uniform, a very good standard expected and delivered every time. There are some pretty nice batch brew and hand brew options. Toilets are always clean, great baby changing facilities, too. What makes it for me though is the staff, always friendly, always accommodating, we never feel rushed to order or finish our drinks despite how busy they are, and it does get busy. I'll be honest, we have never tried the food, but it looks nice”
“This place is wonderful! Great price for the stay, well worth it. The included breakfast was phenomenal. The grounds are breathtaking. The gym and leisure club (pool, steam room) were very nice. The sauna needs (technical) work, because it wasn’t really heating well. Did not have a chance to place golf, but it looked to be in pristine condition, and challenging. Rooms are clean and very well kept. The towels were plush, pillows and beds very comfortable.”
“Been here many times now and always have a good time. Staff are friendly, vibe and music is great - and a lot of love and effort goes into the menu. Big recommend. Plus occasionally get to see a cool dog.”
“Came here for my brother’s birthday and so glad we did! The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. The chef’s fire show was great fun — loads of energy, laughter, and interaction that really brought the evening to life. It wasn’t just dinner; it was a proper show! The food itself was delicious too — full of flavour and cooked perfectly in front of us. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a really memorable night. We’ll definitely be coming back!”
“The best Thai ever! The food and the service was fantastic, couldn’t recommend enough. The portions are massive and there is a wide range of food to choose from. We will definitely be back”
“Blue Bell is an absolute gem! Housed in a charming Tudor building, it offers lovely, cozy vibes and the food is simply scrumptious. We especially loved the tapas—highly recommended! The entire experience was elevated by our cheerful hostess, Lilly, who made us feel so welcome. Overall, a fantastic visit and a definite must-try.”
“Stopped by on a work trip to Chester - the hotel restaurant was busy and they recommended this place and I am really glad I went! The food was lovely - everything tasted very fresh and authentic. It was really busy but they were still able to find a table for me, and the food came out very quickly. Despite being busy, they were very attentive. I ordered the linguine al pesto and the tiramisu and both were fantastic. If I'm ever in Chester again, I'll be sure to pop by again!”
“My friends and I ate here last night. The food was delicious, the atmosphere spot on and our waitress a gem! Felt the price was fair, obvs we would always like it cheaper but you definitely get what you pay for here.”
“This place is consistently spectacular. Amazingly authentic Turkish food, family run by the most beautiful friendly people and an incredibly fun and vibrant atmosphere. We come from Manchester every year for our wedding anniversary and this place never disappoints. We had the mixed meat platter for 2 and wowzers, come hungry because the portions are huge but so so delicious. We finished the evening talking with the owner into the early hours. She is a lovely lady and we will be back next year”
“Came back here as I remember really liking the place as a child and was still amazed with how good the restaurant still is. Me and my partner came into the restaurant at 19:30 on a Friday and greeted by the staff which were super friendly. The restaurant was very quiet as well which was very nice to see so we had no problem being seen when we needed to by the staff. Great selection on the menu and we chose the Seafood platter which we both really liked the look of as well as some extra garlic bread. We both really enjoyed the food. Although we would suggest avoiding the garlic bread as it was £4.70 and we only got two small pieces which we didn’t think was too great. Although we thought the seafood platter was really good for the price. We both really enjoyed all the food and would definitely come again.”
“Mark is a legend! Happy funny & efficient. Made our night 100% better. Food was great nice little plate so you get to taste everything.”
“Absolutely delightful pub and setting, we stopped off after a short walk on the canal. As my daughter loves live music they let us stay for a little while to little while and listen to it. We are very grateful to them, thank you. Is probably more catered to the hipster student types but if I was 15-20 years younger I would have loved it there. Excellent.”
