“Ordered 2 mid week specials tonight for our family, order was delivered on time and nice and hot. Food was delicious, better than a lot of restaurants we have been to. Highly recommend, excellent value for money. Will definitely use again.”

“You know when the smell of food, just pulls you in. It definitely did with me and my wife. Chicken pieces of all different recipes, with tasty spicy gravy, chicken nuggets and two chicken strips, including a tin of orange each. The lady who served us, virtually could of sold me the shop. We both sat in the car, and polished it off in record time. Delicious doesn't seem to give it justice, it's definitely a must for those who love good wholesome food. Thankyou Roast.”

“17th December 2025 Wandering Wednesday took Hubby and I not too far away, to The Rams Head in Grappenhall, Warrington. This picturesque little, tiny cobblestone village is so beautiful, especially when it’s been snowing, picture postcard and I’m sure filming has been done there in the past, only a couple of pubs, couple of houses and a beautiful church. The menu has plenty to offer but with it being near to Christmas, we both decided to go with something lighter as Christmas is full of rich heavy foods…. So on that note we both had the same: Ole faithful…. Fish and chips, accompanied with minted mushy peas, curry sauce and creamy tartar sauce, we both ordered a couple of slices of bread and butter. Our servers were very professional, polite and attentive, I only got the name of one of the ladies, Lauren…. Who is a totally credit to this establishment, thank you for today Lauren. Food was piping hot and tastsy.”

“Every time we have a take away the meal is excellent. We had Chicken Bhuna with egg rice, starters we had popadoms, chutney and mint sauce plus meat samosas and chicken pakora. The staff are always friendly.”

“We've been In the Rope and Anchor a few times as a family and had food. Each time we've really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was brilliant, the service and food was amazing, but most importantly the landlord was so engaging, friendly, and tonight my son and partner came in, and the landlord encouraged my son to play darts with them, he's buzzing and really enjoyed himself!”

“I wandered in on a silent Friday night at approximately 20:28 on the 2023rd year of our lord. My thirst was unimaginable, however the bar staff used their arcane knowledge developed over decades of research to help me quench my hefty thirst. “Well what can I say I didn't even know this Chinese was even there i found it tonight. Well this salt and pepper chicken is absolutely brilliant it the best tasting chicken I've had from a Chinese and usually in small tatty pieces this was a good sized portion with good sized chicken bites. I will be coming here again.”

“I had the Ramen with pork belly. Simply yummy, but if you can't eat spicy food, let them know. It's a very big portion, perhaps a little too much for small eaters.Also ordered the bao bun but yet to try it, so can't comment yet.”

“Best Chinese in a while! Everything had a lot of flavour and the service was friendly and fast. We had the deep fried combination starter (bit of everything), highly flavoured char sui in spicy sauce (hadn't tried before and it was delicious, nice meat and veg cooked well in a savoury, salty sauce, not spicy in my opinion) and mushroom foo yung for the vegetarian option. The fried soft noodles have a lot more flavour than other Chineses, they have a slightly smoky flavour, and the salt and pepper chips are incredible. Really hits the spot. The ribs are good too, decent amount of meat on them and the combination starter is a good price for what you get. All the portions were generous, ended with leftovers for tomorrow. Plated up in the photos are just part of it. Got prawn crackers too which was a great addition!”
