“A small, cozy restaurant which I found out of the blue but so glad I went in. The staff were very welcoming and the whole atmosphere was amazing. The food came out faster than I thought and was of high quality. The food was definitely worth the price. I would highly recommend coming here if you are in the area!”

“We went on a Saturday night, it was extremely busy and the restaurant was quite noisy. We waited some time for our main courses but the food was faultless when it did arrive. My partner waited over 10 minutes for a second drink. We will be back but we will probably get takeaway or visit on a less busy evening next time.”

“Came here for my 30th birthday as we were staying in the hotel. Food was excellent - Sticky Toffee Pudding was the best I’ve ever had! But the real star was out waiter Liam! He couldn’t have done any more for us if he tried, great asset to the team! Can’t wait to return! :)”

“We’ve dined here several times now on our recent trips to Southport and we just love it. It’s a very small, intimate restaurant and the menu isn’t huge, but everything is always spot on and delicious. We always have our youngest daughter with us and the staff are just brilliant with her, catering to her any way they can; whether this be letting her order off menu, or making her her very own mocktail. I’d really recommend the Birria beef tacos and if you happen to visit on a themed night (we went for their Halloween one last year) definitively do the set menu; the amount of food you get for the money is amazing.”

“Highly recommended. One of the most delicious food i ever had. My husband order meatballs which he loved it so much ( he said never had anything like it), I ordered chicken liver and garlic bread. The chicken liver took a bit long time to cook. But the restaurant gave us complimentary lovely sausages as an apology which i felt very appreciated because it was my fault ordered chicken liver. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Love it and will definitely go back again. ( Sorry, i forgot to take a photo of the complimentary sausages! )”

“Husband and I went for an early tea as we had the opportunity of a baby sitter! Food is always fantastic here, I have literally never had a bad meal after visiting for 15+ years. Marc heads up a team of exceptional chefs whilst the waiting-on staff make sure you are well looked after. Michelin star quality food but with better portion sizes. The mix of French classic cuisine with some Asian dishes and top notch Italian pastas never ceases to amaze me. The menu is small (ish) but executed perfectly. There is a reason this place is booked up weeks in advance, but if you're in the local area you simply must visit”

“We ate here for the first time, it was beautiful! We ate a variety of things, Steak, Scallops, Cauliflower, Chicken and multiple others. The food was delicious, service nice and all was beautiful, I would highly recommend.”

“My girlfriend found this place on the internet so we tried it out while we were in Southport , the place was quiet due to the fact the Champions league final was on and everyone was in the bars! As soon as we walked in we were made to feel as home by the gaffer, he couldn't do enough for us! The food was good and so was the Turkish beer, we chose different dishes from the Greek, Turkish and Spanish tapas menu and left full to the brim. The bill was a reasonable price too. We were very impressed by the interior of this restaurant and by the lovely painted Murals on the wall of different parts of the med. We had a lovely time and would recommend a visit here!”

“Oh I love it here! I've been twice recently and will most definitely be going again soon! The food is amazing and the staff are too. Fabulous, friendly service! I had moussaka and it was delicious and filling, it was served with rice and chips. I also had fresh pitta bread with delicious dips and Greek salad. The wine was lovely too. The desserts looked lovely but I was too full to try one on this occasion, but my friends enjoyed theirs. Can't wait to go back! Really, really enjoyed it all.”

“I have ordered takeaway from Bombay Blussi twice now and the food is wonderful. Everyone agreed that it was the best Indian food we had eaten in a long time. The staff are so pleasant and well mannered when taking orders and on collection. I have booked to eat in the restaurant in a few weeks and can’t wait! The restaurant is very stylish and clean”

“The Food, the staff and the ambience of Villaggio Cucina was excellent. When we arrived the staff were very attentive and polite, we were quickly shown to our table then our drinks order was taken and we were given a menu each. After a short while our drinks were brought over, as we couldn't decide what to have the waitress who brought our drinks noticed this and offered to explain what was in each dish, the portion size and the variations available. After ordering the food soon arrived I had ordered a mushroom tart it was very tasty, the texture of the light slightly crispy pastry was lovely along with the presentation of the meal I had I felt (with the waitresses help) made a hood choice. My daughter opted for sea bass this again was cooked to perfection. My partner opted for a pasta dish, again cooked to perfection and a rather large portion! To end the evening as it was my daughters birthday the waitress, other staff and some of the dinners sang happy birth to her as a cake with a lit candle was brought out. Highly recommended.”

“Just had the most amazing chicken tikka madras cooked by chef Hassan. Been visiting lal qila since mid 80s and can honestly say I have never had a bad meal. Hassan and all the staff are very friendly and will try their very best to give you the very best takeaway. Cannot recommend this place enough. 5 stars thank you”

“Really tasty, generous, sized dishes. Food had real depth of flavour and amazing value! The Belash was rather quiet on our visit but seemingly gets busier to end of the week. I'd recommend it for a quiet catch up with a friend or go all out and book a large table for a group get together. It's more for the food rather than the "vibe" Great prices and can byo along side purchase of soft drinks there. Will definitely be back when I get the curry craving!”

“We visited The Mallard for early lunch Friday 6/6. My Mum had fish & chips and I had the pie (steak & ale). The food was fabulous, so tasty & fresh. But the real star of the show was Lyndsey! She had such a friendly demeanour. She welcomed us and all others with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for her! She was working alone front of house… but had it running like clockwork. She checked in on us just enough and was never overpowering. I can’t really comment on the atmosphere as there were only 4-5 tables in, but judging by the boards saying ‘What’s on’ - live music etc I’m sure it would be fantastic! We will be returning for sure!!”

“I’ve been in recently for a couple of drinks. The pub is well presented, with clearly a lot of effort going in to its decoration. The staff are quite attentive for a busy pub and they’ve foster a nice atmosphere The manager was about and seemed to be really knowledgeable about his ales. I didn’t have any food but I would come back for some in the future.”
