“Second time staying here. Hands down, best location in London from a connections standpoint. Fifteen minute walk from Liverpool station to connect you to Heathrow and several other tube stations close by. Easy walking through Shoreditch packed with great restaurants and great nightlife and pubs. One of the nicest hotels in London unless you want to spend £500 per night. Modern, beautifully decorated, generous size rooms for London standards, squeaky clean, an adequate gym with modern equipment, and a great lounge and bar. Will definitely be back and have had many colleagues stay here, all which were very impressed.”

“The best sushi in town! The atmosphere and recipes are authentic. The staff were extremely polite, and even though we arrived at the restaurant late, they didn't rush us to leave and provided us with excellent service. This is definitely a place to visit if you're in London. Although we were fortunate enough not to wait in line, I recommend making a reservation.”

“Mix grill was one of the best, good value, can be starter for 2 to start with. Chicken Birayani was superb and I also order chicken curry with bone , I would prefere bit more masaladar with green chilli spiced, like Desi Falvor and, it's says ghee may be more brown butter, Garam Desi Flavour Garam Masla and brunt ghee ! Garlic Naan was superb. Papadam and all relish, dips were fantastic, eveything Desi style, my son love the raita, I love that red spicy sauce and tamarind chutney. What you need with chillied Cobra beer and all of this. See you guys again with all of my friends and family. Kudos to Chef and his team.”

“We have walked past here a few times and thought this place looks good. Tonight, we finally ate here. Come here hungry. I read the reviews, and everyone said, get the set menu. GET THE SET MENU! You can't go wrong with this. It has a bit of everything, and you will leave here very full. The house red wine is also very good, fruity and full-bodied. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They even said you would not need to order extra dishes with the set menu, and I am glad I did not.”

“My partner and I were recommended to try this restaurant for my birthday yesterday.(6.8.25 Jamaica independence day. So glad we did! It was a great experience from the moment we walked through the door. The food was AMAZING, great taste, flavour, presentation. BTW my partner is fussy when it comes to food, especially being a fellow Jamaican who can cook, he found no fault and was complimentary from the moment he tasted his starter through to the desert. Service 10/10 Environment / atmosphere 10/10 Drinks 10/10 Will definitely be back. Thank you all for a fantastic evening.”

“Zin Indian Restaurant is truly a hidden gem in central London. As a first-time visitor, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavors of the food. The chicken tikka masala was absolutely delicious—rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. The sauce was just the right balance of tangy and savory, complementing the tender chicken beautifully. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service made the experience even better. For anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in a welcoming setting, Zin is definitely worth a visit. I’m already looking forward to trying more dishes on the menu.”

“I was here for the first time for an early afternoon dinner. This is one of the pizzas I had in London. It’s real Italian and very tasty. The straciatella and spicy salami pizza is just the best. Burrata must be good but I will try that next time. The cocktails are also great. One of the few places which has campari spritz on their menu. The value is also good. If you’re coming for dinner at prime time you should book but otherwise you’re OK. I will be coming back.”

    Spaghetti House London

    ★★★★☆ 4.4
    Closed

“I first found Spaghetti House after playing football across the street in Tufnell Park a few years ago, by accident really. What I found with my Dad was an absolute gem of a restaurant. They have a good variety of options food-wise. I usually go for the Pizza, but the Pasta, Calzone and Meat dishes are all good options too. Prices for these meals usually vary between £8-15, so fantastic value. The beers and wine are reasonably priced too. Despite being part of a chain, I have to say that that is not the vibe you get at all in this restaurant. It is homely, owned (at least in part I believe?) by the staff and a hugely relaxing setting to eat in. The food is great, the prices are very good, but the best part of Spaghetti House is without question the service. You are always greeted with a smile, a handshake, and if you're lucky perhaps even a free shot at the end. The restaurant is just opposite the Tufnell Park Dome, which does quite a few gigs around the year. If you're in the area, I would highly recommend popping into the Spaghetti House for a fantastic meal!”

    Bombetta London

    ★★★★☆ 4.4

“Traditional Italian restaurant serving dishes as you would expect but also traditional street food from the region of Puglia. Service and staff were outstanding. The restaurant decor is stylish modern but a relaxing chiled out ambiance, especially in the evening when the lights are dim. There is 2 dinning areas the main area for parties of 4 or more then a side "hut" for parties of 2. This is better if you want an intimate less distracting meal with a friend or partner but can get cold in winter I assume due to the blankets that are available. The menus is made up of 4 main categories. Bites or starters which are small dishes. Shared plates you get a little more and order a few if you are not having a main dish. Bombetta - traditional Italian cured meats with cheese. Grills - main dishes. Everything on the menu was delicious without exception! The wine list is good but this can add up quickly to your total bill so have a drink before hand if you are feeling thirsty! All in all this is a hidden gem in the area and we'll worth a visit. I'll definitely come back to try other items on the menus as it all looked and tasted delicious!”

    Villa Mamas London

“I had a wonderful experience at Villa Mamas. The moment I stepped inside, the space felt warm and inviting — relaxed, stylish, and with a touch of homely Gulf charm that sets the tone for the entire meal. It’s the kind of restaurant where you instantly feel at ease. The food was the standout. I ordered the machboos, and it was exceptional — beautifully seasoned, aromatic, and full of depth without ever feeling heavy. Every bite had that comforting home-cooked quality, but elevated with precision and balance. You can clearly taste the chef’s roots and passion in the way each dish is put together. The service was also excellent. Staff were attentive without hovering, and genuinely friendly. They guided me through a few menu recommendations and checked in just the right amount. It made the experience feel personal rather than routine. Overall, this is one of the best Middle Eastern meals I’ve had in London. Authentic flavours, generous portions, a great atmosphere, and a team that really knows how to make guests feel welcome. I’ll definitely be returning.”

    Cafe Bianca London

    ★★★★☆ 4.4
    Open

“Bianca’s Café Bianca’s hums while the morning wakes, Steam curling softly from teapots and cakes. Outside, the clouds still grumble and spin, But inside, the day’s already wearing a grin. The smell of toast, the hiss of the pan, The sigh of the kettle, the grin of a man. Old ladies gather — their laughter loud, Crackling like sparks through the morning crowd. Their smiles flash bright through the buttery haze, Fake teeth gleaming with mischievous blaze. They gossip and giggle, their joy unrefined, Wicked and golden and gloriously kind. Then — the door swings wide with a jubilant clang, Another crew enters, a self-made gang. They’re greeted like queens with golden handshakes, Given by the cook himself, applause in their wake. One whispers, “Did you see her look?” Another gasps, “I swear he winked — I’m shook!” Soon they’re glowing, delighted and good, As if they’d just been blessed by Paul Hollywood. The radio hums old songs of love, Toast lands like feathers from heaven above. The neon glows — HYGIENE: FIVE! — But it’s the people here who keep life alive. The chairs are scuffed, the tables lean, Yet every mark says someone’s been. Brown sauce glistens, the chatter’s deep, And hope stirs softly from its sleep. Strangers arrive with the chill on their skin, But the warmth of the place seeps gently in. Soon they’re laughing, feeling they’ve known These faces as friends, as part of their own. Outside may darken, the headlines may bite, But inside Bianca’s, the world feels right. A place of comfort, courage, and cheer, Where the essence of life still simmers here. A salute to Julie and Alex, long may you prosper.”

    The Bailey’s Hotel London

“Stunning exterior and interior of the hotel. The rooms are beautiful and they have this victorian feel to it. Granted it is not the biggest for the price (Around £190/245usd a night). The only complains were the room doors arent exactly sound proof. You can hear when your neighbours come back and you can hear if people are talking right outside. Probably because the room i stayed in(241) has a visible gap underneath the room door. The ventilation in the bath room dont seem to work well, if you take a hot shower, it fogs up the toilet pretty badly. I mentioned it to the counter staff for maintenance to check and was quickly brushed off with its normal, its like that. The location wise is excellent. It is literally right beside Gloucester station which has Piccadilly line to Heathrow airport. Great connectivity via Central/district lines to the city centre as well. There is a Tesco express just opposite and a larger Sainsbury's supermarket around a 8 mins walk away. Multiple food options are within stone throw. Just the location alone deserves 5 stars. Overall I had a rather pleasant stay.”

    Wombat's City Hostel London

“Probably the best hostel in all of London! The location is great, just a 10 minute walk from Tower Bridge and Tower of London, which is also a Circle and District line station, making travel around the city very easy. Check in was simple, and the rooms have pretty comfy bunk beds with assigned lockers to store your things. Everything was clean and tidy, and the staff were very kind should you want to replace your towels or linens or anything. The shower is notably wonderful -- great pressure and temperature. We were lucky enough to get a room with a view out onto this gorgeous church next door! There's fans in each bunk if you're too hot, and radiators if you're too cold. The bar downstairs only opens at 6, but it's a great spot to hang out with lots of mat-covered benches, a pool table, and an L-shaped bar in this cool arched brick space, staffed by super cool and friendly people (shoutout to Cassie here!) and full of friendly fellow patrons who are happy to chat to anyone in the vicinity. Laundry was somewhat expensive at 5 pounds a load for washing, but they provide detergent which was a godsend, and let's be honest, this is London. The cafe near reception has great coffee, and a variety of pastries, as well as a nice little sit-down, bookshelf-laden area to enjoy them. I'd recommend them any day, and will likely be booking back in again in the near future! Thanks so much Wombat!”
