“Saturday was the first night for the Cinema at St John’s. It was an amazing experience in a beautiful building with a welcoming friendly team of helpers. You don’t expect to find a proper licensed bar, hot dogs and a variety of delicious sweets and snacks in such a place. The screen is huge and the sound is as good as any cinema that I have been to and they had subtitles. I will definitely be there next time on 19th October for Bohemian Rhapsody.”

“Consistent service and good quality food every time I have been to this branch, be it mid afternoon, early evening or late evening like this evening when we were served by Jessica. As the restaurant wasn't at all busy due to it being just after nine in the evening, we got served quickly and the food was piping hot when she brought it to us. I guess the only let down was that as it was getting near to closing time, the coffee machine had already been cleaned but that's no Biggie really. All the staff we have been served by and the manager are all very nice, courteous and helpful. Can't really fault anything to be honest!”

“My wife and I visited Oak Furniture land in Purley Way in Croydon on 28th December and the Sales Expert who dealt with us was Amin Kanuga.He was most helpful and explained everything in detail regarding which sofa would be most suitable.We informed him later in the day that we wished to change our order and visited the store on 29th December.He was very happy to change the order for us and I wish to commend his professionalism and treating us with the greatest respect.We were really fortunate to have Amin as our Sales Expert and can highly recommend him”

“We are occasional customers of the Blossom House and only ever use their take away service either with delivery or collect in person. However, the food is consistently great and normally the order is 100% correct. Last night we placed an order for delivery. A few minutes later the restaurant called to say that they had a credit showing on our account for a dish they had missed off our last order a couple of months ago. They asked if we now wanted that dish with the current order which we did but tbh I had completely forgotten about it. The restaurant could have easily not said anything about it and left it to me to remember. So they’ve restored their record of 100% accuracy and added complete honesty to the list of reasons to recommend them.”

“I visit this Cafe Nero often and Alex in particular is always attentive and makes the best coffee he is always super focused when you walk in. Today, I walked in after a long day and got a coffee and a cornflake tart even though he wasn’t the one serving me he let me know that it had alcohol in and the other sweet treat didn’t. He is also very calm and patient when i am indecisive some days which he does not have to be! This level of attentiveness is very rare I really appreciate it. Thanks !”

“I had been in search of a new dining table for a few months and having not ventured into Croydon Centre for over a year was unaware that there is a great Next Outlet store in the Centrale Centre. Now when I say that this is a great store let me clarify, whilst the store is well stocked it is not your high-end retail store but it makes up for its shortcomings with a fantastic team of customer service personnel. I found a team of three young ladies moving, wrapping and selling large items of furniture, seemingly all at once, these ladies were taking the multi-tasking skill to a whole new level. Laura, Seratu and Teressa are truly a force of nature and if you need an example of exemplary customer service then look no further, I received absolutely first class service from Seratu when purchasing my Laura Ashley side table, as I needed to know the original price and material and she took the time to look up the item online and provide me with the requested information which allowed me to make an informed choice and purchase an item I had no intention of buying when I entered the store. If you are in need of furniture or clothing you would be crazy not to check out some of the great deals available at the Next Outlet Store in Croydon, located on the ground floor of the Centrale Shopping Centre. “I’ve been to this branch of Starbucks a couple of times recently and it’s been great. My friend is disabled, so parking is very convenient as there are Blue Badge parking spaces directly outside. Access is easy too. The staff are all friendly and you don’t feel rushed, even when it’s near closing time. One outstanding member of staff we encountered was Elaine, the manager, who is incredibly friendly, warm and kind. She was extremely considerate and helpful towards my friend, who needed to access the toilet. Elaine made sure she could navigate her way to the toilet safely and that there were no obstructions in her way. On our way out, just as the shop was closing, Elaine cheerfully called out to say goodbye, which was a lovely touch. It’s warm, friendly and helpful staff members like Elaine who contribute to a positive experience when visiting a coffee shop. Thank you Elaine. You’re an asset to Starbucks. Update: When I first encountered Elaine, I mistakenly thought she was the cleaner as she was mopping the floor. On my next visit she told me that she was actually the manager and had found my post hugely amusing. This just shows what a wonderful sense of humour Elaine has! It also shows how the manager is prepared to do any task that is required.”
